That looks exactly like Kinemon. Oda had planned his design since long ago. So he probably will have a very big role in the manga.

Is it actually confirmed that Kinemons son is an infant? Kinemon looks like he is in his early 40's / late 30's.
Maybe his son is around 16-20, and was actually send first to investigate the Punk Hazard matter.
Now that I'm thinking about it, even if he is still young….One Piece dad's are not really known for caring about their offspring.
Roger, Dragon, Yassop, Shanks (:D), Franky's dad, Kalgara, Morgan, Noland...just to name a few.

Well it is just an example but I have no doubts that he has a kitsune zoan of some sort
And yeah the argument with the swordsman is weak shit as well. It would be like saying, a zoan can't join, we have one already, a paramecia can't join, we have 3 already and so on.
He has magical powers as well and even if not… 80 % of the VAs are swordsman and most OP world are using swords. Brook's fighting style is completely different as well and Zoro will be always the number 1 swordsman in the crew and with that wouldn't come into conflict with the monster trio (Please Jabra not debating about this) after all, as for e.b. Jinbe if he would have joined at Fishmen Island (Later on it isn't a problem anymore)

That's how I see it, sort of a "best of both worlds" deal.
Now that you mention it, Marco's df seems even more powerful now since Logia's are free game in the New World. Regeneration is so much better than "maybe" avoiding damage.

Yup ,thats what I gathered from watching Marco fight ,without Haki or seastone it was basically pointless to attack him because he'd just regenerate. But he could also transform into the actual phoenix,so I don't see why Oda would totally cop out on Kinemon when he already set up so many Kitsune references which is a Mythical creature.

Isn't it pointless to attack him with haki as well? He would feel and take the damage, but simply regenerate after (as with Garps super haki punch). I thought that was the reason why even Kizaru had to trap him with seastone.

Yea,I was using Marco Vs Garp as reference,although like you said he'd just disburst the damage. But He DID feel pain from that punch. Kizaru couldn't even accomplish that with his laser before using Sea stone.

But if he does join YEPEE another swordsman that uses two sword style, so excited :/ But seriously another swordsman joining the crew? I understand that different people can have different styles (ie. Zoro, Brook) but another one? There are other weapons besides swords, like maces, whips, lances, scythes,etc. Devil fruit wise, his ability seems to be made for support rather than fighting but we've only seen the ability once so anything can happen.

But seing that his name contains Kitsune-bi (fox-fire) could mean that he has a Kitsune zoan… if not a Tanuki zoan would be awesome as well and we would have both shape shifting creatures of the myth mentioned in one character

That's a valid comparison :/ Also notice how I said that " I understand that different people can have different styles (ie. Zoro, Brook) but another one? ". Zoans can literally be any non-aquatic animal in the world, Paramecia can be anything in the world Logia can embody and element (except water) in the world, the window for Devil fruit diversity is far more vast than a samurai using two swords. Also like I said there are more weapons in the world other than swords. He could use his powers in conjuncture with his ability, which could make him unique, but again do we really need another swordsman?

Did I say that Oda was uncreative? No, what I'm saying that there are other weapons available besides swords,and to have third a swordsman on the crew (a samurai no less) would be pointless. However his two sword style could be different than Zoro's but will he be a crew member? Not likely, he's in the same boat as all the other character in this arc as far as I'm concerned.

thnxthe legendary Japanese tanuki/kitsune is known for its transformation powers, and readily employs them when a leaf or stone is placed on its head, at which point the sound effect "doron" occurs.
