It really wouldn't be Halo anymore.
It was never a generic shooter, really, contrary to popular belief by haters or non-fans. It was very unique in its style, simplicity and mechanics. It was never like COD, it always was its own distinguishable shooter, but with these changes, not only are the new developers behind it alienating the fanbase, this just pretty much hints that the game will be played for a month before the next COD comes out and everyone goes flocking to it.
The sprint isn't what people hate, it's the other armor ablitiies coming back, that were in Reach, which no one really liked in the first place.
This would just make it more of a modern military shooter like COD and BF and stray from its original place as an arcade shooter which could be played casually or competitively.
Am I mad? Not really. I'm slightly bothered. But this was something I saw coming from Reach. I really pretended to love the game but it didn't have the charm past Halo games had. It was somehow try-hard, it just wasn't as fun as Halo 3 or 2. So yeah, sorry guys for hyping the game so much and talking so much about it. It's in the past but I kind of regret that now.
It's just sad to see one of my favorite franchises drop so low. I suppose I should have seen this coming. Relevant game franchises that have done very well for many years tend to just suck when handled by a completely new developer team. It's rare that they come out just as good or better than before.
