Mario Tennis was announced at the same time as Paper Mario and Animal Crossing. I think FE was, too.

Animal Crossing and Paper Mario were announced at E3 2010. Mario Tennis was shown around last September, and Fire Emblem a little before that.

More important than Animal Crossing, though, is Luigi's Mansion 2. :V

And Luigi's Mansion 2 was at E3 2011. While I definitely want it, AC and PM were what made me want the 3DS so bad from the beginning so I am really annoyed at how long they're being held off and games that get announced in the middle of nowhere like Mario Tennis and Fire Emblem get released long before.

I can't really imagine the crossover being a fighter, with Tekken x Street Fighter and it's inverse already looming on the horizon. I've seen someone suggest that it could be an SRPG like Namco x Capcom was.

As much as I want a new Golden Sun game (especially since Dark Dawn was clearly set up for a sequel), it's best that Camelot gets some experience with the 3DS under their belt before foraging into RPG territory.

That's a shame that they're working on it but not bringing us an RPG mode like in the previous handheld Mario Tennis's.

Well, there's still hope at GDC, which will be from March 5th to 9th. Not sure exactly when Nintendo's presentation is.

I don't want to say 'hope', because I've had hope at every single little conference Nintendo has ever done since the announcement of AC:3DS. I just want it out ASAP. I was really hoping here so we could get it before the end of Spring.

If not at GDC, there will likely be another Nintendo Direct in April.

I finally found ToTA 3D yesterday and I'm loving it so far! As much as I'm hating Luke (although I kinda understand his circumstances) that all went away when Guy joined in. (I'm 4 hours in) He's by far my fav character and makes me laugh with his "girl"phobia lol!

No, but I'm disappointed there's seemingly no RPG mode like the previous handheld Mario Tennis games.

It seems every game these days is getting a LE version. I bought 6 games recently and 4 of them were limited edition:

Final Fantasy XIII-2. I got regular but there was a Limited version (which seemed to have nothing extra)
Catherine. I got the stray sheep edition which came in a pizza box, had a t-shirt, poster and some other stuff in.
One Piece Unlimited Cruise. Limited Edition. Came with a not-so-exclusive Ace figure. (Cus everyone apparently needs Ace merch)
Resident Evil Revelations. Came with Circle Pad Pro.
Last Story. Comes with a Soundtrack and artbook.
Elite Beat Agents. Was pre-owned for £2…of course it had nothing.

So yeah. Sad thing is that buying these online was still cheaper than the regular edition in shops. But has it always been like this? I don't recall getting so many limited editions in the past. Or maybe its to combat pre-owned sales as an incentive to buying new?

It's been like this for a long time in japan, but it's only really filtered through here since the last generation, console wise.

PC wise we've always had something of the like, but instead of an LE it was more first print bonuses and so forth, I remember getting a t-shirt with my copy of simon the sorcerer, a ken pin with my copy of street fighter one, and various other things, and they were very creative with the boxes - look at the triangle day of the tentacle box or the hexen box for example.

Anyone know if Nintenod replace/fix old Wii consoles? Mine has stopped reading Xenoblade and Last Story (dual layer) so can't play them at all. They work fine on the one downstairs. Kinda refuse to buy a new console since the Wii is pretty much dying now

I dunno what the situation is in Europe, but in the states you ship it in to them with a special label they send and it costs a flat $70 to fix any console.

pffft. No way am I paying £70 to fix a console. Its only £110 to buy a new one. While I don't particularly care for Mario and Sonic tho XD

I just assumed that since it's a problem with the Wii's hardware they woulda just fixed it for free. Since mine's a launch and apparently out of date tech blah blah. Oh well. I'll wait until they reply. Very worst I'll pinch my parent's Wii for it. Just not worth buying a new Wii and then them putting out Wii U at the end of the year.

Again I dunno how Nintendo Europe works, but we managed to swing a free repair of my brother's DS once by feigning ignorance about the process. Otherwise no they don't do free replacements (unless you're under warranty and then it can't be any sort of damage you caused) or repairs.

Softmod your WII, it's easy Install a HD loader, i use WiiFlow (look it up on the homebrew Channel)
Download the backup of you game from a (torrent) site.
Get yourself a HD or Usb that's fat32. Use WII-Backup manager (for the pc), to put your game on there.
And your ready to go.

You already own a original copy of that game, so i kind of consider that legal..

I'm currently trying to sell my White Wii with Wii Sports for $100 on craigslist. Think anyone will go for it? I want to get rid of this before the Wii U comes out and it's value drops to 40 bucks. lol

Also I just run a wbfs partition since I had a game or two that I couldn't find small enough for fat32. Probably could have taken more strides to make it fit but with wbfs you still just use Wii Backup Manager to put games into it same as the other way.

I think they fix it for free if it's a problem with the disk reader reading dual layer disks. They did when smash bros came out so i don't see why they still won't

The thing I don't understand is that Smash Bros used to work fine. Even Other M, Sakura Wars and Prime Trilogy worked perfect. Had some niggles with Xenoblade and unplayable for Last Story. So maybe it just needs a clean. =3 Invested in the Nintendo disc cleaner (surprisingly cheaper than other ones) so fingers crossed

I hope that it works with your Wii, bought also a disc cleaner (even the one from Nintendo) but it didn't helped. My copy of SSBB is useless now :( (and yes, I tried it on a friend's Wii so that's not an issue of my copy :/ )

USB Loader GX. It has a few modes to view your games: list, different spreads of the boxes. I don't think you can look at the backs (or if you can I dunno how) but it gets the job done well enough.

I'm pretty sure you can at least ask Nintendo for no cost if it might be a lens problem and if they still fix that for free.

Well..im sending my wii in for repairs.. so right now im writing down all the games i bought on VC so i can rebuy them on the wii again .
I rather get it repaired than buy a new one for now.

I'm sorely tempted to mod my Wii, if only to finally play Doc Louis' Punch-Out, but I ain't trying anything until I get my VC collection safely transferred to my eventual Wii U, which I assume Nintendo will let us do.

Got my Disc lens cleaner today from amazon. Seems to have temporarily fixed the problem, took a few cleanses tho. So fingers crossed it'll work.

Also for those in the UK. apparenlty Nintendo is going to be streaming some One Piece episodes via the 3DS. Says only at events at the moment tho. But you never know~

Woah, that's pretty cool. Nintendo seems to really want to promote One Piece. I doubt UC will be the last they bring over to Europe.
