Every week has been like non stop bitching about how shitty this is since we knew there was going to be a 7 year skip.

When we hoped that Gajeel would have surpassed them simply because he actualy did train.

personally i wouldn't even consider this arc as have started yet, so not sure why the list is out even

But I guess for list reasons, you guys NEED to have it started now so you can fill in certain criteria. Cause can't have a SURPRISE dragon slayer if we knew about them for awhile before hand now can we. Gerard may not show up during this arc at all, so we better start it now, since he did show up here. Enemy became a friend? Gerard was friend a few arcs back and pretty sure that enemy became a friend applied to the two girls last arc as well.

Yea but thats like saying Sentomaru was a surprise in the Fishman Island arc. I would consider Shabondy events seperate, just like at moment I'm considering all these events seperate to whatever arc is going to start soon.

I mean imagine if we had a One Piece list. Lets look at Fishman Island. Do we check off Zoro got lost? Pretty sure he never got lost on Fishman Island from what I recall. But I'm sure you guys would then FORCEBLY add Shabondy events into the arc so you can fill out your checklist.

It's not that the list isn't funny, and very true. It's that people where twisting many things that happened in order to check off something on that list ASAP. Hell most of the time the thing was checked off sooner or later, so why skew the facts in order to check it off early.

But one example of skewing facts is the "god slayer" being a surprise dragon slayer check off. I mean come on guys. You can do better than that.

I actually don´t mind the humor in Fairy Tail. It has a lot of pretty funny moments and the action can be pretty good, too at times. The story, characters and drama doesn´t hold up that well, though.

This Looks pretty good, for what it is. Definitely like the drawn fire. Way better than the anime, I just hate the way fire looks in the anime. Speaking of the anime, I wonder what the anime will do after the s-class arc? Looks like the movie is in August. You'd think they wanna keep the anime going till then. The end of the arc doesn't really leave a good chance for filler. Unless they do something dumb like the other members looking for them or something like that. Or they could go the alternate universe bleach route. I think the anime should of did a bit of filler before starting that arc. Oh well whatever, even though the anime is better than it was in the beginning. I still don't care about it that much. Guess I'm just kinda bored with anime in general lately.

I'm pretty sure the manga was like the 4th best selling manga in 2011. I also think the anime is doing pretty well too.

I had a post I had been working on prior to this one in regards to another post, but didn't feel like posting it. But essentially it was talking about how Fairy Tail is still in its adolescent stage in that it hasn't set up its MAIN STORY, or GOAL yet. Its like Naruto was before this whole Akatsuki and Moon's eye plan go going. I mean what is Fairy Tails main story? Nothing really, its just random guild missions and behind it all Natsu crying about his missing dad. Think of early Naruto and the random ninja missions and the underlying "i wanna be hokage"

SO its easy as hell for anime to throw in fillers cause there is no worry of disrupting the flow of the story, or the continuity of events, ect. I mean imagine the time skip happening and then we get thrown some big filler arc like the Bount arc in bleach. THEN after the bount arc we learn about this new mage tournament. Does this ruin anything? NO, who cares when they go to this tournament, whether its a year after they return from the skip or 3 months. The only thing that matters is that they feel weak before the tournament starts and thus want to do this training. And what better way to make them feel weak than to have a Filler arc with them dealing with something they thought would have been super easy yet BARELY winning and realiziong "holy shit, these 7 years we got weak"

And in all my experience with Fillers, there is one thing I know they are always good at doing even without trying. And that is making the main cast look weak. I mean look at One Piece, every filler arc I'm tearing out my hair going "wtf, they should just walk over these guys no problem, why are they struggling" Somehow anime manages to make every filler arc in EVERY series make the main cast weaker than they were at the start of the series.

I'm sure the anime will continue on past the S-Class arc. Not only are Natsu and Lucy wearing their timeskip outfits in that teaser, but they've also gone too far into the storyline and its plot threads to just drop out.

Plus there's plenty of filler opportunity with Intern Tail.

Considering how Gildarts beat him by knocking him far away, he should be some recurring gag villain like Team Rocket, where he appears throughout the rest of the series only to have some character falcon punch him into the sun.

I was referring to when blue note originally appears in the manga and how the anime hasn't foreshadowed him much earlier than that.

It's a teaser, and you really shouldn't be worrying about them being the only characters. There's no reason for the others to not be included, and there's no reason for the teaser to show everyone, especially since the anime hasn't reached the timeskip yet.
