it's the bottom right corner on the 2nd scan. really it's only a hand holding a gourd and we can see a sword but considering he gets smashed when he fights it would almost definatley be him

Thank you. Now I can see him.

Since he works at Gamestop he can access their inventory on his iphone, so I had to take a pic from that. It said unavailable though but he said he's ask his boss about it.

That. Is very fucking interesting.
-
Look carefully at the Coby/Helmeppo pic. The stage is clearly Marineford, but it looks like there's more to it now.
-
All the old stages have new detail added to them but there's nothing new in terms of platforms. I think the stages might be bigger though

That is…....very.........very......interesting...... Though a price of $34.99 makes me suspicious. Is that a normal price for a new DS game? Whatever the case, thanks for adding such an interesting bit to the topic. I could save a good deal of money if this is true. Won't be getting my hopes up, though.
-
Interesting, I've heard it's possible Namco Bandai could've put out a solicitation on the American market by mistake.
-
Yeah it happened a few years back with a Naruto game if I remember correctly. But it wasn't Namco Bandai that put that game out.
-
YESSS!!! Now i dont have to import if that is legit!!

Well that's the exact price Dragon Quest Monsters is going for at Wal-Mart.
-
Yes that is the price of new Ds games.
-
I doubt it is true, they probably put other import games in that inventory list also.
-
Wouldn't get my hopes up. Considering the first one was advertised right up to the day of release in the UK and then was dropped. Once it's actually out and on shelves then it's certain.
-
same was in EU with one piece pirates carnival
-
A full English version of Gigant Battle does exist though, maybe UK retailers just didn't want to bother with the game. If no one is willing to carry the game over here then I don't see Namco Bandai even bothering with it let alone advertising it.
-
Very interesting. New DS games are generally $30, with RPGs being $35 because of their length, but the $35 could be a placeholder because if they put the placeholder price below the final price, they still have to sell it at that to anyone who orders it, so it could just be the default to cover their butts.
Then there's the box art. Japanese logo on white background, which means one of 2 things. They just found whatever and put it up, or since there's actually a picture at all it means NB sent it to them as a placeholder, because otherwise I believe it would just say "no image available".
And last is the name. Being "Gigantic" rather than just "Gigant" could mean they thought that would be better sounding in localisation, but at the same time, keeping the 2 when this is the first in America is a bad move and they wouldn't do that.
All in all, it's very interesting, but there's a lot of things pointing toward it being a mistake. Though those things could just be because it's all placeholder stuff and is subject to change.

Can American ds games be played in Europe?

Can American ds games be played in Europe?
All original DS games are totally region free. You can play normal DS games from anywhere on any DS.
-
If this is legit I'm gonna import Gigant Battle the first game from Europe before I get Gigantic Battle.
-
Hope it's true cuz I hate playing the first one on my computer…
-
New video out. What's the difference between this one and the last one?

Blog update: http://blog.opgb2.ganbarion.co.jp/?eid=16
Looks like it's explaining Gigant Assists, which seem to just be that if you use assists in quick succession you can eliminate the down time of the 2nd and 3rd ones.
There's also 2 videos in demonstrating it, with some new support attacks.

Hmm, that's an interesting feature. It adds to the usefulness of the assists as this could better set one's opponent up for more combos and special attacks.
-
Seeing Gigant changed to Gigantic does make me think there was some thought put into in actual American release. The 2 being in the title despite the first one not coming out here doesn't necessarily mean anything bad to me, "Dragon Quest" and "Final Fantasy" both did the same thing a while ago and that turned out fine.
-
I am positive that it will get an English release.
Do I have to have played the first game to get this one? -

At least they didn't name it "Humongous Battle" or "Gargantuan Battle" lol
-
Pretty sure "Gigantic" is GameStop thinking it's misspelled or something. A few websites called the first game Gigantic Battle as well and despite the screwiness of the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy numbering system in the US at least those two got their first entries released here. If they actually do have a problem with "Gigant" making no sense they may as well get rid of 2 also.

Do I have to have played the first game to get this one?No, not unless you want to transfer characters over, but at that, you'll have to have 2 DSs. I don't think the 2nd one will make it over. It took about a year to make the 1st one in English. The 3ds is out, so i doubt people would still be bringing games over that late into the DS's life. Then again, Devil Survivor 2 is coming over next year, so who knows.
-
My friend asked his boss about it today and he didn't seem to know much besides saying he or the other manager might have ordered imported games before, but he wasn't sure. It is on the gamestop inventory list but not on the list of upcoming games.
-
hm sounds like business as usual.
-
Hody Jones confirmed.
-
where's that from
-
lol, best leak ever !
The 3SP attacks look awesome !
-
-
Zoom in the picture.
-
And they have him before the transformation too. Sweet! He's also holding his trident and I'm going to go ahead and guess that he'll have a special where he doses on ESs which may turn him into his Current state. Now we just need a bit of info of Decken since we would of had a hint of Hyouzou. Thanks for the heads up once again redon.
-
from the official website
he even posted the link lol
The link wasn't there when i asked him but it's cool
So they did update the website i'd just rather they did the character section and put caribou and coby up. I wanna see a video of them
-

The page also confirms team combo attacks, new 3SP attacks, and animated specials with famous quotes. Sweet.
-
Kind of reminds of the Grand Battle series, where they would say something with a big headshot of them before they attack.
So we can add Hody to the list as a playable character.
-
That makes 40 playable characters confirmed. We've also had Marco, dofla & Smoker heavily Hinted (being on the Box, in scans and PVs) and Moriah seems like a given so that makes 44 overall. I think that'll be it or we have 4 more left, maybe decken or hyozou and then robin, franky & brook Pre-skip? Probably not or maybe more completely random characters like wapol or coby. Who Knows anymore
-
Website update ! "We Go!"
-
Look the images is this page: http://onepiecegigantbattle2shinsekai.wordpress.com/2011/10/12/hody-jones-desaparecido/
Now Hody dissapears!!! Maybe an error in the page? -
Eheheh, I noticed it too. They realized they spoiled Hody, so they've changed the image. Too late buddies :D
-
Ahahaha, yep. Way too late. Good try, but the internet is always watching.
-
lol, I can't help but be reminded of when Lucario, Jigglypuff, and Ness were leaked in that one Brawl trailer
-
I was looking at the gigant battle 2 site and , Is shanks only downloadable from wifi ?? it says something about a datacard and password also
-
It sounds like it but i'm sure his password will be leaked online so everyone can get him
-
from what I've gathered Shanks you download wi-fi and it's his crew that is the card password
-
I just hope this games wifi dont lags
when the wifi works like in Jump Ultimate Stars it will be perfect
