Cant wait for the first episode of the time-skip!
-
This episode was fucking amazing! I nearly shed a tear.
Expect for some dragged out scenes with Hancock, everything was great!
The montage was the stuff of dreams. The next episode preview looks fantastic! Toei's putting every nickel and dime into next week's animation.
I can't wait already!!!!GO TO NEW WORLD!!
-
Awesome episode, loved the new rendition of We Are! GO TO THE NEW WORLD!
-
Not to spoil the mood, but isn't it sad that
! Fishman Island isn't shaping up as that great of a arc? Doesn't mean I don't look forward to the underwater segment, the crew in action and the flashback, though. I have a feeling this arc will be better in the anime.
Yeah, i'm with you..can't say i'm super excited about the next arc either. For now, the thing i'm looking forward the most is episode 520, which should cover ch.601.
sigh ignorant OP "fans". FI has been awesome (no spoilers)
I was in the same camp as you both but then I reread all the chapters recently. Im going to guess you 2 didn't?
Anyone here anime only watchers, expect the greatest coming up. An arc like Alabasta and Skypeia. The real One Piece
-
I work out while I watch One Piece, and that montage at the end was the perfect thing to get me pumped up for one last push at the end of my work out. The whole montage was godly, from We Are! to the scenes of the strawhats training. Also, GO TO NEW WORLD instead of TO BE CONTINUED was pretty awesome
-
So I'm going to be watching this a million times.
Even if the current arc doesn't shape up to be awesome (nobody can tell the future here except maybe Zephos with Ace), the New World will be, so just relax.
-
You know what?
Fuck it. I can't wait a whole damn week.
It's time….to go to the future!!!!!!!!!!
-
Sugoi!!! great episode. Ikuuuu luffy!!!!! to the New World!!!!
-
Honestly, didn't care for the episode that much, but the montage made up for it. Pretty big grin at Go To New World!
-
other than Hammock's annoying antics the episode was epic, amazing send-off for the 1st part. GO TO NEW WORLD.
-
Can't wait for this! This is so awesome!
I keep watching the preview, Go to the New World!
I want a giant group hug after the current arc
-
I literally had goosebumps!
Thanks One Piece for the great journey so far. The anime introduced me to this whole new wonderful fantasy world. This franchise has definitely enriched my life and changed it for the better.
'We are' and the training montage was pure brilliance. And the 'Go to the New World' ending card was a nice surprise too.
I am with the camp that say FI will be much better in the anime. It will be a riot of colors and exotic backgrounds. I cannot wait to see the multiple and diverse fishmen and mermen colored. -
Next week's preview is one of the sexiest, EVER!
-
[in good quality!!!

especially if they actually stick to 1 chapter per episode instead of half a chapter or part of it, atleast 517 seems to cover all of 598, but that could just be because toei is milking this thing out pretty good and covering a nice load of material with what seems like awesome animation sure makes a nice impression.
-
Man that part of "We Are!" where Rayleigh and Luffy are running together just has that "going where no one's ever gone before" and "changing the world" feel to it. It's just… so awesome.
It gives you confidence that Luffy will really be able to do what Rayleigh could not. -
Great episode. Great We Are remix. Dat Hancock.
Great episode.
Onwards to the second half!! bangs fork and knife together I eat this stuff uuuup!
-
Btw, I loved the part with Rayleigh explaining how Haki works! :D
-
hopefully these goosebumps will go away T^T

Funimation, Y U NO SUB DA PREVIEW?
I tried doing it myself, can anyone try and help me to correct anything?
It's been 2 years since the war.
By the end of each one's training, at last the time has come to
see the new power of the Strawhats crew.
In order to set sail to Grand Line's strongest sea,
the New World, the Strawhats start moving!
On the next episode of One Piece!
The new chapter begins. Reagroup! Strawhats pirates.
I'm gonna be the king of pirates! -
I noticed the font for the episode titles is slightly different now (now it's just filled with white instead of filled with a bunch of lines). I'm hoping that for the next previews we'll get We Go playing as the BGM.
-
Oh man, this episode was just wow. Loved We Are, the ending every thing. Preview for next week has me excited, the wait is going to be horrible!

-
Subbed version of the new We Are for those who want to see.
-
Man these scenes with Luffy and Jinbe starring at each other. That guy's joining the crew!
Nice episode and send off. I like how they animated Oda's color page "a casual discovery" or something like that.
-
This episode was One Piece perfection!
-
GO. TO. NEW. WORLD.Oda: Get off my back!
-
Great episode, love the art and animation. The whole montage in the end really touched me. I'm excited for next week, the preview looks awesome…
-
Is it me or did the montage at the end look spot on, on some of the flashback scenes like when they showed Zoro, Robin, Brook, Sanji, and Nami. forgot what chapter # cover art had all the Strawhats on it when they first appeared but it was the chapter that Hancock was introduced. back to my point to me they look like Oda himself drew them personally. wouldn't that be something
-
Perfect episode!
Thank you for everything, Oda-sensei!
Now, to the NEW WORLD! -
That really was a great episode.
Boy, I'm so excited for the upcoming stuff.

Also is it just me or does it seem like the anime has been improving a lot recently?
Honestly I've liked it its entire run, even Marineford was good although I'll admit the pacing was bad and as was it in some other sections of the anime but I've always loved every moment, but man every since after the war the animation, art, pacing and even the filler just seem better.
Hopefully Toei can keep this up!
-
Ah, and so the timeskip has finally come!
Good bye, Fight Together. Definitely my favorite opening ever, hoping the next one delivers just as well.
Also:
! OMG! IT'S MANSOPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
Awesome episode… Seriously a nice end for the first part
-
An excellent send off indeed, now onto the new world. Cant wait to see it all finally animated
-
This was definitely a good episode. The elephant sort of slowed to a stop, which was a little weird, but I'm not surprised. I liked the additional explanation of the daft green tree. It came up in an SBS but Oda never really touched on it in the manga other than to say it was the only safe spot.
But really, the episode paled in comparison to that ending montage and the preview for 517. The montage was beautiful, and the preview looks incredible. I'm sort of surprised to see Zoro and Franky in it, which I suppose might be filler scenes. It'd be awesome if they did an hour special for it, but since I haven't heard anything of the sort, I'm not holding my breath. I think the last one we had was the final episode of Robin's flashback (which was followed by several episodes of recap filler -_-). I've been waiting for the next episode for a long time, and that preview definitely doesn't make it any easier.
-
thank you part 1 hope that part gives me more laughs!
-
Yes.
Mansopp, proceed.
-
I'm not much of an anime guy, but I had to make an exception for this. I am so glad I did, that was great, a fitting end for the first half of OP.
-
Great episode, made me incredibly eager for next week however there were a couple of observations and critiques.
First I really loved the small filler (I think) of Hancock manhandling Rayleigh. That was quite funny.
Reanimation of the old scenes was brilliant once again. Zoro face on the cross from episode 2
Also did anyone else think that Luffy didn't place his Vivre card properly in his hat? Looks like it was moving back and forth due to the wind. It's gonna get lost.
The only slight dissapointment was with the end montage. It should have been much longer; it was only about one and a half minutes in the end. It would have been so much better they'd done more flashbacks of the moment each crewmember joined plus the adventures of SH's from the very start, from Morgan and Kuro through Alabasta and up to Kuma in Shabondy. And this should have been overlayed over the entire "We are" song, all four minutes of it, not a cut version of it.
That would have made it so much more epic and nostalgic which would have been perfect to prep us for next week. Some of the earlier stuff could have been sped up/cut (there were quite a few wasted shots where nothing was happening) to make room for this.
Still, I can't bloody wait for next week.
-
next week already? Damn that was fast.
I wish they animated some cover stories though. A lot of seems important (like Enel and Wapol)

Yeah I think it may just be a flashback with Rayleigh telling them who arrived in what order.
Which wouldn't be so bad since the look of the SH's are no doubt going to be shown in full in the opening clip - and most people already would know what they look like.–- Update From New Post Merge ---

I wish they animated some cover stories though. A lot of seems important (like Enel and Wapol)Nothing stopping them from recapping it when it becomes important to the story - so when they talk about Walpol metal - a short introduction to how it happened.
-

It's not like the manga hid it either. They were in a colorspread for everyone to see before reading chapter 598..
Interestingly enough, the preview is trying to hide their faces though.
-
Nice episode. Weird to see the first part end, even though I've seen it in the manga already. Maybe it was We Are playing while recapping everything.
Weird feeling to know I started the series when I was 11 and now in less than a month I'll be 20. Just sort of came to me while watching the episode.
-

Really? YMMV then, I've been enjoying the fishman arc, but I have to say it reads a LOT better all in one shot than week by week.
oh and the ending We Are! montage made me grin stupidly for its entire duration.

Yeah had the same feeling …. I was like "Dude you start reading the German version of the manga when you was about 15 and now you're 25 ... damn when you finished One Piece you'll probably have kids"
But this is a good thing I guess. Something from your youth carries on till you're an adult.About the episode: The animation was great but the ending was the best. Man that scenes gave me goosebumps! And the preview ... damn I hope part 2 will always look that good!
Thank you Oda, thank you Toei, thank you OP Part 1! Off to the New World!
