Has there been any news on volume 33 yet? I thought that came out some time ago, but I haven't seen any information on it.

Um, volume 33? You mean Takei decided to continue the manga?
-
It was supposedly an actual "conclusion" to the series, I think

Here, all you need to know about vol. 33.
-
Huh. That's pretty neat.
I thought the series started losing a lot of stream towards the end, but it was still enjoyable, so I'd like to see a good ending.
-
Yeah I'm actually curious to see what will be in volume 33 so I figured I'd ask. Cause I thought they were bringing it out spring of 2007. Guess I was wrong though…
-
I thought it was 2008 they were planning to release it.
Considering how 32 apparently ends, I'm keen to see if this is given a better ending.
-
A true shaman king ending?!?!?!?!? so that means that I can stop hating the series and hao will get his ass kicked???? what a beautifull news.
Hated shaman king just for the way it ended, the author should have managed to keep the series afloat, or end it like this, 3 years ago.
-
Does anyone know of any groups who have subbed the anime other than soldats and ricebox?
-
OMFG. An actual ending. Wonderful news. I've still yet to reach the end of SK, but i'm glad to know it will have a proper ending. A few of my friends will be very happy to know this.
@Pass:

It would seem those 2 were the only ones.
-
Recently, I started to read SK again, and I like it a lot. Anyone who haven't read it and are looking for chapters should definately go to onemanga, since thye have nearly all of it

I read somewhere that Shonen Jump pulled the plug on the series, hence the rushed ending. I'm under the impression it was nearing the end anyway so I don't really don't see the point but then I don't run Shonen Jump.
-
For what I heard from Jump Festa 2008 there was an announcement that Shaman King would return in March of 2008 in the monthly manga magazine Jump Square in order to officially conclude the story
-
Hope it better then the anime's cliched ending. What the point of killing Hao if he just going to come back again. A better ending would be to stripped away his power and let him see how a normal human lives, least that how I always thought of it.
-
Liked it,but the anime kidification-Hocus or whatever the hell was its name was just REAL shit.
-
Shaman King rocks! The plot is good and the characters are interesting. And the art, while very different from Oda's or Watsuki's is good. Hao is also one of the coolest SJ villians I've come across.

From Anime News Network
The Japanese publisher Shueisha has officially announced the schedule of Shaman King Kang Zeng Bang (Shaman King Kanzen-Ban or Perfect Edition), the reprinting of Hiroyuki Takei's supernatural manga that will include the never-before-published "true ending." Two large-format volumes will ship every month, with the first two arriving on March 4. With 27 planned volumes, the last volume should appear in Spring of 2009. That last volume will include Shaman King's new final chapter, which Takei will draw specifically for this edition. (The manga's original run abruptly ended in Japan's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2004.)
The new printing will be Shueisha's first Kanzen-Ban to include transparent plastic slipcovers (nicknamed "Oversoul covers," a reference to a key element in the story). Takei will draw new color illustrations for both the actual covers and the Oversoul covers. Viz Media is currently publishing the 32 regular volumes of Shaman King in North America on a bimonthly schedule, with 14 completed so far.

So basically we won't have to care till spring of 2009
-
I find it odd that they're giving the entire series the "special edition" kazenban treatment since it apparently was never that much of a hit, even in japan.
-
@Radical:

pretty much yeah .
-
Doubt anyone will even care then.

i have actually gained quite the interest in the series. You can read all the chapters up to 270 on http://www.onemanga.com/Shaman_King/ also there is wikia site i found some time ago, that has been dead for some time. http://shamanking.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page i am currently working on some articles there. My hope is that if people can gain enough information they could become interested again. Also if allowed _i would like to request for people interested in the series to help me out making more articles, and editing those i am already working on. Perhaps make some infoboxes and such since i am not so familiar with it.
Again sorry if that request is posted in the wrong place._
-
I'm glad it's coming back. So hopefully when it does finish, the US version won't get that weird abrupt ending. That, and I just like it.
-
I like the idea of these Shaman King Kanzen-Ban, simply because I like the sound of the cover.
Though I wonder which ending Viz will use.
-
I liked it,even if Hao turned to the main focus of the series far too soon and eliminated many probabilities AND "N" couldve been KEPT at his original design.
ps:anyone know if the promised conclusion volume is already out.
