@Kaba:
Perhaps. But, the thought of a manly opening being possibly switched over to bubblegum pop just doesn't sit well with me.
Same. It's just a feeling I got.

Chapter is out on MS. I really hope they do what Komatsu said, going on an adventure together, all of the kings. Also, what the heck was that at the end?
Ahh, I so do love this. They've been hinting at and foreshadowing the four and komatsu banding up and going to the gourmet world together for so long. The fact that it was actually mentioned in the manga makes my heart pound with excitement and brings a smile to my face, because that would raise Toriko to a whole new level as a story. Now I'm looking forward to seeing that happen even more than before.
Also, who on earth is that in the end..? Another new insanely powerful character sighted? What a powerful introduction. Whoever it is, it's interesting to see why he/she scared Quinn so much.
If this goodness keeps up, Toriko might even topple OP and become my favourite shonen thus far.
Pretty good chapter.
See, this was what I was referring to waaaaay back after the Mellow Cola arc ended. I missed having long detailed explanations about how positively orgasm inducing whatever they were eating was and why it is impossibly better than any real life equivelant. So that was rather good.
I'm glad this chapter wasn't nearly as rushed as the last one was.
Also:
! Hooray, Komatsu discovered a new ingredient.
The Melk Stardust is finally used. Which is cool and does provide a good explanation on why it hasn't been used on panel yet.
And I still love Sani/Sunny's reaction to the other kings. Funny stuff.
For some reason, Komatsu's big discovery of a new ingredient was my favorite part of this chapter.
Does anyone else have slowdown problems with the Mangareader site lately?
Heh, so basically this chapter confirmed what we figured all along. That all of the four Kings are gonna fight for Komatsu in one gigantic homoerotic sausage fest.
lol
Awwww how cute, Komatsu really wants a harem.
Okay guys, SEVERAL predictions of mine were just confirmed from the first page of the manga chapter. We ARE getting a new ending soon (1 point for me) and we ARE having it sung by another "bubblegum pop" band like Kaba said!
And my rough translation of the spoiler text turned out to be right! I wonder if any of them will add the Gourami to their Full Course? And what about the end…
Who do you guys think that man was?
@Samwize78, yeah, you were right!
So, it's been announced that singaporean group Sea A will be singing the new ending theme song:

!
Wow, it totally fits Toriko. /sarcasm
Eh, it could work.
What kind of setting would this Ending take place? My guess would be at Toriko's candy house. With all his friends there eating his house? I don't know, I think that if they did a song similar to that one posted they would have to go with a party theme.
Well this isn't the song they're using for the ending, right?
Yeah it's the ending song.

Looks like a dwarf chef to me. At first I thought it could be Frohze or Zaus, but Frohze has a similar hair to Midora's, and Zaus' coat is way too big for someone of the mysterious character's size.
I don't know if someone is going to add the fish to the Full Course. There was no "caption" to intend that after they ate it, both before or after the Melk Stardust.
Good chapter BTW.
I think the Shining Gourami w/ Melk Stardust will go to Sunny's Full Course. Just look at what it did to his hair!
Yeah it's the ending song.
It just says Sea A will sing the song, not that Dream Shooter is the ending theme..

No but I was just giving an example if they chose a song similar in style to that one.
No, no. Dream Shooter is the 3rd ED of "Cardfight!! Vanguard".
The video was just an example of how their music sounds like.
I checked their profile out. Looks like one of them(Wynnie) likes One Piece. Cool.
Who do you guys think that man was?
The shadow seems to give off a shape of a giant chef's hat. It could be Kuromado that was there and he may had been the one who sliced off that mountain.
Or Zaus, that great chef Melk mentioned.
That shadowy figure looks like he has a giant forehead.Am i the only one that sees it like that?
hmm, Mol's Oil. I like the fact Matsu discovered a new ingredient.
"The oil that never goes bad!"
I hope he makes the newspaper like when he created the Century Soup.
Who do you guys think that man was?
It's obviously Uumen Umeda, since his popularity was so high Shimabukuro decided to put him back in the story.
When I saw the guy, the first person to come to mind was Koenma to be honest xD
Just a little refresher, is anyone going to sub the Toriko movie? Kaimaku! Gourmet Adventure? I thought kewl said he would do it, but I might have just been imagining things.

That would be nice. Maybe his restaurant will get another star at some point too. He's what, a 5 star?
I think he got bumped up to six-star after the Century Soup, though I could be wrong on that.

Yup, this is correct.
Yup, this is correct.
That he got bumped to six star, or that he's wrong on that?
Surely I jest.
He's right, Hotel Gourmet is now a six-star restaurant.
I even said in the post I was joking. It was a rhetorical question. I was being facetious.
My apologies then.
I should be the one apologizing. It was obviously ambiguous and unfunny.
Episode was decent, at least they did the Grinpatch crazy face scene.
Any chance that the mysterious guy is Colonel Makkoi?

The size fits, the laugh fits too (didn't he sometimes laugh with "kukuku" and sometimes "fufufu"? I'm not sure). And we did see him loading lots of kitchen utensils? So he could be a chef.
The theory isn't mine, btw.
Edit:
Found it, here his laugh is "fufu":

How does the size fit, pray tell?
They're both small.
Hmm after reading the latest chapter. I wonder what sort of companion Zebra would have. Coco has Kiss that huge crow, Toriko with Terry the wolf, Sunny has Quinn the snake. I can't really imagine what sort of animal he would click with.
Some kind of gigantic lizard or insect I'd imagine.
Kinda late to the party but I want to make a few comments on the latest chapter
1. Kinda like OP, where the action chapters are great but info/talk chapters can be just as if not more enjoyable, I found myself like chapter like this a lot. One can't forget gourmet ought to be about cooking as much as hunting. So far the series' emphasize has obviously been on the latter and lacking on the former (one can argue the only exceptional cooking we've seen Komatsu do is with the Century Soup), so it's nice to see a "cooking chapter". (Granted, tempura isn't all that amazing cooking either, so we can only hope for more)
2. In this chapter I was reminded a conflict about Toriko and its themes: On one hand, it's a food manga, at its core it's all about finding rare and delicious foods that provide ultimate satisfaction. On the other hand, I feel Shimabukuro has been trying to differentiate his series from the more conventional cooking mangas with more, "environmental correctness" (for lack of better words): Toriko always speaks of gratitude before eating, never wastes food, is enraged by Tommyrod when he kills but doesn't consume, and condemns the action of consuming species to extinction. It's a fine line to walk, and chapters like this raise questions, at least to me: The rare, poor, so-fragile-can-be-scared-to-death fish, is basically getting fried alive! Is this not considered cruel? Where is the line drawn? Is it simply "killing is fine so long you eat it after"? I found myself puzzled by the same question back when Toriko & co. wasted a whole bunch of puffer fish whale and ozone herb just to get that one tasty bite.
3. Like many others, I found myself excited over the possibility of all 4 kings travelling togather. It's more amazing since I can't recall the last time when I found each and everyone of a shonen protagonist group so likable (other than OP of course). Can't wait for the day to come.

A Dragon, only a Dragon could fit.
Or a T-Rex.
I very much doubt that Zebra's partner will be some big animal. How does a dragon or a dinasaur fit him? Toriko has a great sense of smell, so Terry (being a wolf) fits him; Coco, who can predict death has a raven as his partner (and as you know, ravens symbolize death), as for Sunny… do I really need to explain why a snake fits him best?
So if anything, Zebrs is going to get some awesome bat.
A Derous is the most fitting partner Zebra could have.
You know, dolphins have pretty good hearing. A dolphin would sooo suit Zebra. You know it's true, don't deny it.
A dolphin dragon with a triple jaw.
Sounds awesome.
you know for Zebra's partner….. it would be awesome if a Rock Gondor bird which amplifies the voice... Melk I mentioned it to toriko...
Well it should be a of a different species in general. Toriko has Terry, a mammal. Coco has Kiss, a bird. Sunny has Quinn, a reptile. So Zebra should have something that none of those animals have. I think some kind of animal with a sonar would work but I can't think of anything off the top of my head. I'm sure the next time we see him he'll have one though.
