Australia and the UK got UC 1 and 2. But the only way to get was buying online.
One Piece: Unlimited Cruise SP & SP2 - 3DS
-
-
I got Unlimited Cruise 2 in a store though.
-
How possible would it be to go about buying the european 3ds and the translated op sp when its out, only to play, then sell the 3ds back to some lucky european?
-
What? Australia got Unlimited Cruise 2!
That's strange, I'd read from so many places it didn't make it. Not that it's a bad thing! :D

Whaaat, you'd only play it once? :0 I see Unlimited Cruise SP as a reason for me to get a 3DS but… I mean, what if you sell on your 3DS then more Europe only awesome One Piece games come out? XD;; Honestly, I dunno what I'd do. Some games only come out in America and never in Europe, and some games the other way around. Region locking is really screwing us all over though. :c

It's possible. Although you'd be taking a heavy hit in the amount of money. Obviously you'd have to buy and import the game and console and then sell back to a European. Although do remember that Pre-Owned stores etc exist so you'd have to be competing with them (and that would include shipping) since why would a European import a European game and console when they can just get one in store?

Yeah, I read that in places too. Don't know why it's written that we didn't…unless the version I got was from Europe then somebody gave it to EB.
-
In Europe, at least in Spain, the Unlimited Cruise games were only available through online retailers the first months, then they started to appear in normal stores… or maybe those in the normal stores are second-hand copies
-
Here in Germany you could get it anywhere.
-
I want to love Nintendo. I'm a huge fan of Pokemon, Zelda, Smash Bros., etc. My DS was my favorite system. But honestly, they do some really stupid stuff like region locking the 3DS that make them a very hard company to like sometimes.

I really wish we could get these games out in America. Whats the reason they aren't releasing? I know it isn't on American TV anymore but Funimation still dubs it. I believe they're the American Funimation as well, so whats the deal? Also I know that it's too early to say anything for this game, but still. After Unlimited Adventure they kinda just stopped. Its hard for me to find European imports of Cruise series and Gigant Battle.
-
Apparently sales of Unlimited Adventure weren't particularly great. Or at least not enough for them to consider dubbing the others.

I would be happy with subtitles anyway fans are fans so they would buy it with or without dub
-
Yeah, I heard that the game didn't really do well here in America so the production was ceased. Now a new copy could go for $200 on Amazon since they are extremely rare.
-
I don't have any plans on selling my copy but $200 dollars? That's just ridiculous.

Dont remind me of that, I should have buy more copies to resell, they were like 7 copies in ToysRus :(
-
I'm playing the japanese version now, and I have some questions to someone who finished the game:
In the Wii version, when you did the enemy rush mode (where u can need to kill 200), you could choose "Data" versions of the mugiwaras, each had the attacks he has equipped on the save file. I am just at the end of ep1 (first playthrough).
So I wanted to know if I can do the same later on?Also, can I use luffy's UC2 moves in marinford mode?
-
The game is listed on Amazon.de for the 31st of October, with German boxart.
!
Don
t see it on .co.uk, though. -

From what i have seen and read, Stores do not like carrying these types of games, because they don't sell, and take up space. The only Anime games that move are Naruto and Dragon Ball Z, oddly enough, those are the only Anime DVDs I see in stores such a Target, ect.

Isn't Inazuma 11 a Anime series game? That's getting tons of hype and adverts here :/ (sorry if it's not. XD)

ACtually, the anime was made after the games, but, at least in Spain, the anime ended up coming before the game (with all the World Cup thing last year)
-
Well, here in America, nobody cares about That other football, so i haven't heard of this game/anime.
-
It was made by the Layton creators, so maybe they had high hopes for it?
-
This game is Just too awesome.
It has so many secrets for the fans. For example did you try catching different animals with different characters:
! Sanji hates spiders, we saw it once in Jaya, when they where looking for the Southbird
If you catch one with him, he has a special reaction just for that.
! If you catch a scorpion with robin, she won't like it, because it reminds her of Crocodile (the scorpion's sting was made to look like Croc's hook)
! And if you catch any animal with Zoro, he sometimes asks "how many tons does this weight?", like the time he and sanji were hunting in Little Garden, and competing who gets the bigger animal. There are a lot more stuff that has nothing to do with the animals :D
Also, I have some questions about this version, someone here finished the game?

I'm pretty sure whoever plans on getting this is waiting for it's european release in november on account of the 3DS being region-locked. I know i am.
-
I just boght a second 3DS, but I'm learning japanese so that actually useful.
Just thought maybe somebody has it. -

:wassat: European 3DSs aren't region-locked?!
Anyway, have you guys seen this.
It's a teaser for a new game that Namco Bandai Games is making with Koei Tecmo.
I might be going out on a limb here but, I think it might be a new One Piece game. -
Shit that was typo. I meant because they are region-locked. Sorry for the confusion
-
^No Problem.
-
yeah~~ bloody region lock
here's to hoping that someone will hack the 3DS region lock soon, at least so we can import games~~ -
Guys! holy sh** , my friend just found a secret treasure in UCSP (ep1), it contained a weird ticket, my japanese isn't perfect so I can't read the important parts. anyone knows about this?
I took some pictures:That is a collaboration with the movie "mugiwara chase". You need to have that ticket in your inventory and than go near Thousand Sunny's "head". You'll than have to find Chopper, Zoro and Brook who are hidden around the ship. They are hidden in:
! Chopper at the highest spot of the ship (Zoro's room, where he has all his training equipment), Brook in the kitchen and Zoro is sleeping over the fences near Nami's trees.
After that a new event will take place (related to the mugiwara chase movie) and you'll unlock all the characters in survival mode.
If you can't start the special event you might have to go a little further in the game. -

So… I didn't have internet for my first 3 weeks in Japan, and I didn't know the 3DS was region-locked, so I bought this game only to find that I couldn't play it on my American 3DS (and then the store wouldn't even give me a full refund... T_T ). Anyway, Japanese 3DS's only cost ~$140, and the game is about $50. Worth dropping 200 bucks just to play this game? I'm guessing no, but for the first time in my life I'm earning a nice salary, so at this point that doesn't even seem like that much money.
-
I wouldn't say worth it just for the one game no. Probably would be cheaper to mod a wii (if you have one) and just get the first versions. Unless you REALLY want to relive a short Marineford mode and play as Marco and Jozu.
-
Is modding the Wii easy enough that even someone completely inept at that sort of thing could do it without screwing everything up? If so, does anyone have a link to a good set of instructions?
-
I live in the UK so I just got the game from a store. But I heard it's relatively easy. You might be better off asking someone on the Wii/3DS/Nintendo thread in the Video Game section here.
-
Will do. Thanks mate.
-
@CCC: Its as easy as putting files on a SD card. And following instructions located all over the web. TL:DR just google it, it couldn't be easier, its like the Wii was made to be moded LOL.
-
Thank you so much! did you play the game too?
Yes, I bought it one month ago. I got to 100% in the first episode and now working on getting to 100% also in the second episode. After that I will try to finish the survival mode with all the characters :p
The main game is really addicting and fun and it's great as a portable game. -
Man, This game is coming to Europe, and I cannot play it. I wish the 3ds was region free, so i could import games. I'm not too mad, since I have already played both, but when a new game comes out that has no chance of coming over here and and I to play it, I'll be mad. The closest one is that sexy ninja game. I'd maybe import it, but i'm not buying a new 3ds just for it.

The main game is really addicting and fun and it's great as a portable game.Yeah it's amazing, I just got to ep2 4th Island~(first playthrough)
finished it on the Wii as well ^^
But I noticed some changes, where did you get to in Ep2? did they remove the boss rush from that EP as well?
Also, is there any way to play survival and marinford with Luffy's (the the rest of the crew's) movesets that I used in EP2? like the wii? -

On the Wii finishing survival on hard was really funny and challenging.
I still have to try out the survival mode on the 3DS… in Marineford I think you can't use your own Luffy... but in survival mode maybe you can select it by pressing some other button... I'll have to check. -
Wait? They removed Boss Rush from the game? Any reason why? And how do you unlock Arlong, Calgera etc?
-
You can unlock all the bosses with the survival mode, it's like the boss rush, but with only one character vs all the bosss.
I got the team super move "Raikotsuken gabote bon avantt" via tresure map, instead of getting it via boss rush. I guess that true for sanji+zoro's "armedoler pawa shoot" -
Can you travel to all 8 islands at any time?
-
nope, its still two different games
-
That sort of sucks. It makes sense, sure, but it would've been cooler being able to visit them all.
-
So…theoretically in the future should such a solution be made available for 3DS....what about the threat that they can "brick" your system for attempting to mod it? Is that present on the Wii or is that an empty threat? Ideally I'd like to just put some files on my 3DS SD card and get to play OP Unlimited Cruise SP.... but would I not be able to download games from the eshop / update the system after that??

Can anyone confirm that this game will be released in Europe IN ENGLISH??
Gigant Battle on the DS didn't come out in the UK, although there was an English version from Italy, I guess we got lucky.I've got a bad feeling that UCSP won't come to the UK or have an English language version. I can't find any UK shop that has the game for pre-order.
Amazon.it lists the game for the 10th of November, their version will only have Italian as a language option, and an Italian manual.
Amazon.de lists the game for the 31st of October, with only a Dutch language option.
Amazon.fr lists the game for the 30th of November, no languages are confirmed as of yet.Anyone know who would be the best PR to contact about if there will be a UK release?
