@I:
(sigh) brat.
OK Are we really talking about this topic seriously,:wassat: and on this thread? (Isn't it a tad OT):sad:
Oh, ok.
/looks at the rest of BC's post.
… :wassat:
Er, well, ok… A competition is about a whole lot more than winning, Mr Urouge, as I'm sure you know, despite your seeming insistence otherwise. A large part of it centers around development of character traits like good sportsmanship, among others--and that involves both the winners and the losers, sir.
On one hand that's true, but on the other hand you've been attending too many kid's "everybody gets a trophy day" events. :ninja:
Winning, and striving to win, is a part of it. Otherwise it wouldn't be a competition. It would be a… uhh... playday.
So… of course the boxer would fight back. And once he won, he would graciously shake hands/tap gloves with his opponent. And then he would hold his hand high in victory!
How can he shake hands with someone whose mangled carcass is being carried out of the ring on a stretcher?
"So tell me, Murder Hands, how did you attain the strength and skills necessary to snap another boxer's neck with a single punch?"
"Well, Ron, I owe it all to my mother, Buster Call, who taught me the importance of good sportsmanship. That's why I tattooed 'O K T O H I M E' across my fingers like this."
"I see. I'd like to ask you what everyone must be thinking right now, but you scare the living piss out of me. So instead, is there anything you'd like to tell the kids who are watching at home?"
"Yeah. Mermaids are hot."
