Actually, they did promote it on Friday right after Young Justice if I recall right.
They also promoted it all throughout the Sunday night block.
So, attack of the 50 foot woman ep? The cold opening threw me, but at least the ending was nice.

I watched that Young Justice episode and don't recall seeing that. I know I didn't see one during The Clone Wars either. Now, if it was during the Ben 10 repeats, I could see missing it as I skipped those. Either way though, it still means that they didn't actually show it during the commercial breaks for two of their most highly rated shows and still stuck it on a night that most people associate with terrible live action shows.
I remember seeing it, and the only time I've watched CartoonNetwork the lastr was week was during the Young Justice EPisode.
Yeah I did catch ads for it, but I forgot all about it come wednesday. The ep is re-airing Saturday morning at 9-ish.
I know a lot of people hate the way Cartoon Network ended up, but I think it's almost on par with itself from 1998-2004. I love shows like Adventure Time, Regular Show and Flapjack.
I didn't like Cartoon Network very much for a long time. Foster's was the only show I got into, but that wasn't enough to keep me interested in the network.
As a side note: I really miss Two Stupid Dogs.
But it doesn't rerun Looney Tunes OR Thundercats anymore. Nor does it have anything Brak related.
Clearly inferior to the old days when they had no money and could only afford to rerun good stuff.
What happened to Chowder, anyway? Or Flapjack, for that matter?
Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Symbionic Titan are cool though

My guess. Not good enough ratings for a short period of time. I expect the same to happen to the other shows mentioned above.
But they all get good ratings except Symbionic Titan…..

That's why I said for 'a short period of time'.
CN is redeemed in my eyes. Most of their live-action stuff is gone and basically "most" old toons are back. Dexter, PPG, Courage, KND, etc. Tho Dexter and PPG are on very early for some reason.

Give me another two years before I decide that. I'm sure they'll try more live action shows before long, they'll get bad ratings, and then they cancel them and go back to doing cartoons for a period of time. Same cycle again; rinse and repeat.
Adventure Time, Regular Show, and Symbionic Titan are cool though
You know what else is cool though?

It's really fucking sad that this statement is as accurate as it is…

This was the first post at AP Forums I read since I got back home.
It's gonna be a good day.

Ended their runs with some weird as hell final episodes.

They're supposed to be showing reruns of Space Ghost & Brak early in the morning don't remember when.

I don't know what's wrong with these kids today!
I think SBT will really pick up this season
Tatakovsky is a momentum kind of a guy

Speaking of Adult Swim, I still feel it weird how they went from 10 to 9 o clock(9-8 for me).

Adult Swim's always had a jumpy schedule though.

They need to do a crossover with Samurai Jack.
And then stay out of the way for 13 episodes.
Then the crossover can end and they can resume their own story.
Has anybody ever got around to making a list of the various cameo appearances on Sym-Bionic Titan?

I have yet to see this show, but I remember the man's riveting momentum in Samurai Jack. :pouty:
MEE MEE and DEE DEE been in a SBT episode. the one with the cheerleaders.I love SBT as much as Samurai Jack
Screw those two, they had an episode with HANS MOTHERFUCKING GRUBER.
Last week's episode also had James Dean, which is pretty cool in itself.
Dethklok (that or Thunderhorse) popping up was fairly unexpected.
ok…how the fuck did Cartoon Network approve Regular Show...they must not have seen this first O_O

I mean, the show makes a little more sense now, but …wow. That takes some balls, CN.
Just a note to remind people that, because of the Hall of Game Awards, there's no new Young Justice, Ben 10:UA, Generator Rex, or Clone Wars this week. No new Sym-Bionic Titan this week either since the Speed Racer movie is occupying the 5-8 timeslot.

Well…those programs really need that. Just imagine how this week would be without all of those programs. And CN can't ignore the massive amounts of fans that eagerly await the hall of games awards after hyping it up for so long.

I'm confused, are you happy that the shows are not coming on this week or not?

lol my mom and i saw that commercial for the Skateboard awards with tony hawk and my mom was like "isn't he too old to be skateboarding?"
i laughed
also these awards are gayyyyy
How old is he anyway? Forty something?
How old is he anyway? Forty something?
Is he even really that popular anymore? I haven't heard of him in a while now. Of course, I admittedly don't keep up with sports much.
Apparently, Michelle Obama's supposed to make an appearance on Friday as well….to promote health and fitness I suppose...

Thats one of his older shorts (the upload date is 2006) before Regular Show, and before he started working on the The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack (the other show that he was involved with) so I don't think that would really serve as a red flag to the network execs
With that said, the stuff that Regular Show gets away with is pretty remarkable points to signature

And how many times have they said "pissed off" in that show?
Lord knows the guys behind the Steven Spielberg cartoons would've killed to know how they get away with what they do.

I'm very aware of what the vid I posted is. My shock is at CN knowing (I would assume Qunitel would show off his portfolio to get a job) the content of that vid and basically letting him expand it but parse it down to a mildly kiddie version.
I'm still surprised they acknowledged Muscle Man's moobs.
You know who else has moobs?
MY MOM!!!!
Did anyone else catch the new episode of Regular Show that aired at 8:45 PM on Friday? Title: "Brain Eraser"
They didn't even advertise that a new would be on after that "hall of games" thing, only the TV guide and episode listings on the internet let me know about it.
Though seeing them watch what looks suspiciously like an anime that was "crapping rainbows into your eyes" and sucks their memories out was fun, not enough to make up for all the other new stuff being canceled for that… thing they aired instead, but at least it was something.

I don't see what the big deal is; the Whoopass Girls was part of Spike and Mike's Sick & Twisted Festival of Animation back in the day and that didn't prevent Craig McCracken from developing it into a series for Cartoon Network for a much, much more timid set of executives.

Ouch.
But why make fun of em then ?
So all that promotion for Hall of Game and it managed 1.4 million viewers or about three hundred thousand to half a million less than its usual lineup. Will they take the hint? Probably not.

This is hilarious.

It's funny how he tries to put a positive spin on the event when with all of the stars, advertising, etc., they probably would've needed at least 3 million viewers to have broken even with all of that, and they ended up doing less than half of that.

"I've always said our name is Cartoon Network and that will continue to be Cartoon Network for the foreseeable future," he said. "Cartoon Network is our brand."
So…what was the CNreal brand for at that time? Or are you just talking crap like in the rest of this article.

I don't think CN is ever going to change its name, despite it meaning cartoon network and them airing live action.
I mean, turn on MTV (Music TeleVision) and you'll see shows like Jersey Shore. Still trying to figure out where the music comes in with that show…

I found one of the commentators funny who said not to compare it to the old Looney Tunes cause it'll never be that good. While true, I'm going to compare because it's still Looney Tunes. Heck, I'll compare it to Tiny Toons and Animaniacs as well which I can easily say already look 1000X more entertaining than this.

You know, I'll be honest, I found some of the dialogue in those videos funny. But no way in hell should it be coming out of Bugs and Daffy's mouths.
