Don't be scared!
-
Oh and sorry about the disconnection during our fight Tonfa,my internet connection went out for like 10 seconds which kicked me off Online Play…
Eh It happens, don't worry about it. Good games with you by the way.
And with Shmeckie too, turns out that Chris isn't COMPLETELY helpless against airborne opponents. He's got a fucking flamethrower, it deals a fuckload of chip damage, its got a fuck big range horizontally and vertically, and it can be easily chained to his Sweep Combo for a nice chunk of damage.
And I'd like to reiterate that he rapes, RAPES Sentinel royally.

But his head is on fire! :ninja:

Indeed they were fun!
Oh and Chris also rapes when you forget to block…I need to start blocking, and Advancing Guards more often.
-
Oh god, fighting Chris with Sentinel is such a fucking uphill battle…
-
I've also come to realize that Advancing Guards really give Chris an edge regardless of whether you or your opponent perform them.
Basically, anytime Chris pushes you away or gets pushed away, that gives him the space he needs to unload a couple of Machine Gun rounds, Magnum Rounds, mines and fire grenades turning the whole field into a literal war zone while he continues to chip away from a distance.
Advancing Guard Chris gives an already strong zoning character an invitation to zone.
-
I think I'm finally getting the hang of Dr. Doom! This calls for a celebratory song!

The same goes for any zoning character, really. Chris, Arthur, Dormammu, and to some degree Sentinel are not characters you want to use ADvancing Guard against.

Wolverine will always be my Main now.
-
Don't be a boring "always have to have one character on my team" kind of player now. :\
-
No he's more like if I'm playing serious matches I'd pick him. Keep forgetting to land them Drill Claws xx Dive Kick and shit like that.
He better be next for new alts god damn it.
-
-
Good games earlier Toshi, by the way.
Oh, yes…
Stalk Flare > Mass Change M > Rape in a box.
Nice to see some of my assist combos are working with Tron. Now I just have to try out a few more things...
I fucking love it.
=D
Thank you. :)
-
Anyone else tried Shadow Mode yet?
I beat 2 of them without to much effort, that 'un' guy was decent though, but I still won.
Same here. Mmm, 14 more days till Jill and Shuma are out.

Yahahahaha @ the stupid, scrub ass MvC2-haters who said that MvC3 will not have infintes and that Capcom will "learn their lesson" from MvC2:
EUEubybsLIs
Take that, nigga.

You're happy about this… why, exactly?

Because I'm Godlike.

Hooray for reading!
This is mostly a proof of concept video. Some info about Hsien-Ko's item toss move, most of it courtesy the Bradygames strategy guide:
Anki-Hou will produce one of 11 items upon use:
- axe
- Chun-Li's bracelet
- kunai
- shuriken
- sword
- yashichi
- 3-second bomb
- 6-second bomb
- 9-second bomb
- bonsai tree (dizzy)
- star (dizzy)
The item given to you is determined by how much time has elapsed since you last used the move. If you time the move so that you perform it at perfectly regular intervals, you will receive the same item every time. (EDIT: That is to say, you'll get the same item from the 2nd toss onward. Notice that the first item thrown in this video is different from the rest. The first toss doesn't have to be and likely will not be the item you want, but since the item cycle resets upon that first toss, you can predict the next item thrown if you know the timing for it.) Dizzy items can be looped together in this fashion, as shown in this video. The practical application of this is limited, however, as looping dizzy items into themselves is probably either a 1-frame or 2-frame link depending on whether or not the two different dizzy items occupy neighboring slots in the game's internal item list. (EDIT: I'm also not sure of the item list's exact order. If that order is randomized for every battle, then this is even less practical. And in either case, even if you can perform this semi-reliably, I would expect it to be more useful in most circumstances to move in, tag out, or set up something else under the safety of the dizzy rather than attempt a very time-consuming and difficult infinite.) Other info: The H version of this move (vertical toss) can hit both on the way up and the way down, and most items will hit overhead when thrown in this fashion. (Bombs and dizzy items still hit mid.) You can chain a low normal into an overhead item toss at point blank to create difficult to block mix-ups against large characters, or you can simply toss an item and then time a crouching normal to strike as it comes down. If a dizzy item hits the opponent in mid-air, it does not cause a dizzy state, but it does knock down the opponent and allow you to follow-up with any attack, even those that can't normally be used OTG.
The first hit of Tenraiha (anvil drop) also hits overhead, but there is enough time for the opponent to react to the hyper's cutscene and change his blocking accordingly if you do not combine it with a low-hitting assist.
Still needs to be addressed, but don't expect to see it with any regularity like the infinties in MVC2.
-
Interesting, yet upsetting, however, don't act like there isn't any infinities in Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
-
It seems like most (if not all) of these infinite videos that emphasize lots really strict conditions to be able to actually perform them, like how they ONLY work in lvl 3 X-Factor and/or ONLY from mid screen and/or THEY WONT WORK AGAINST character x, y and z.
At least thats what I'm getting from the attitudes of the video uploaders (Never seen such a liberal use of the phrase READ BEFORE COMMENTING before).
-
Plus there's no way anyone's performing that Lei Lei infinite in an actual match. The guy who made the video even says he used the AI record feature.
-

The ones with X-Factor are called "loops."
I know X-23 has one and so does Deadpool.
Those nigs will eventually find an infinite that works on everyone, but damn, Capcom sure didn't learn their lesson with that stupid ass scrubby Gouki infinite.
It's so disgusting and tasteless.
At least thats what I'm getting from the attitudes of the video uploaders (Never seen such a liberal use of the phrase READ BEFORE COMMENTING before).
Sadly I was linked to the video and wasn't told that it was a "pseudo-infinite."
After witnessing the Gouki one, I thought that shit was legit.
-
I've got an itchin' to try out that Akuma Tatsu infinte again, at first I thought it only worked on Sentinel, lol. I've tried doing it in training mode before but couldn't get the motions and rhythm down (cue controller bitching)
Oh well, I consider myself an optimist, even if the discovery of infinites get a little more rampant, theres always the opportunity to patch it.
I mean, Fei Long had an infinite in both versions of SFIV and they fixed that shit early on.
-
You know what?
I HOPE they patch that shit… and this is coming from a person who likes Gouki (yet doesn't use him, because I think he's too easy) and a MvC2 player.
That infinite is embarrassing.
-
That Akuma infinite is too fucking easy to do. Kinda makes me wanna drop him.
-
Exactly.
However, more like, "I'm not going to seriously use him, despite the fact I bought the game, because of him."
I mean, look at my Reserve Unit and compare my Gouki team with my Wesker and Magneto teams. I'm NOT interested.
Shit, as of right now, I'm in the lab with my Gouki team… without Gouki and replaced him with my boy, Spidey, who I can't believe I've been ingoring.
I must say, I just might make that change permanent.
-
You've been ignoring Spider-Man?
…....Who ARE you?

Seven seconds. Seven seconds is all I can spare to rape you.

You've been ignoring Spider-Man?
…....Who ARE you?
Yeah, yeah, I know, I know.
"He's your favorite Marv– no, favorite superhero of all-time! How could you?!"
It's just that, I dunno, I couldn't find anyone to go with him and I don't like my Spider-Man/Felicia/Doctor Doom team on Marvel 3 like I did in Mahvel 2.
However, I'm kinda liking him with X-23 and Trish. Reminds me of my Chun-Li/Spider-Man/Morrigan team in Mahvel.

Comment on YouTube:
"That's 100%, welcome to Metro City!"
^I enjoyed that. All three of those matches were great. Loved the comeback with Dark Phoenix. I really need to implement her teleport.

Watching that fight reminded me of how much I have been neglecting Haggar. I gotta change that
-
Hey guys, I wanted your take on this for a second.
Should I get the SFIV TE Stick or the MvC3 stick?
MvC2 and SSFIV sticks are gone (and way too expensive online) >:V
Same parts or is the MvC3 stick superior?
-

They're all the same parts (Sanwa Denshi and whatnot). The only difference is the plate design.
-
Cool, just making sure.
I didn't want to buy one for 20 extra bucks or so and get not get ONE part or something silly like that.
-
I can't lie.
I smiled while watching this video:
http://www.gamesradar.com/f/marvel-vs-capcom-3-ruined-by-marvel-vs-capcom-2/a-20110301182547150055…and not only that, I have to say, this game's stage music sucks. Marvel vs. Capcom 2's uninspired jazz music is better than this boring, dramatic, cliche shit (Thank you Capcom for character themes) and I see more hate for Marvel vs. Capcom 3's "character themes" (for being "too techno") than Marvel vs. Capcom 2's "awesome jazz music."
Meh. I like both and all, but just give me Marvel vs. Capcom 2 stages with remastered (not remixed) music, Capcom.
-
Anything with River Stage is god like, Sarus.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind if they release a pack (free or VERY cheap) that included all the original songs.
Honestly, I hate the theme of the main menu, the character select theme, and the 'versus is about to happen' theme. The victory pose theme is pretty good.
But with the exception of River Stage, I would not give up majority of the character themes for MvC2 music. Seriously. The stage themes DO suck though….except for Devilot Island.
And C. Viper should get her SF4 theme. No remix.
-
Finally plunked down for a TE Stick.
Now when I get SSFIV I'll be back to using Abel 8D
-
-
Sorry about the other night Shmeckie, I was watching some Hulu and then I was off to play some Mass Effect on my new PC.
You can kick my ass when I get my TE stick, like how Sarus did (he gave me a lesson in Phoenix Hyper Cancelling X Factor fo' sho)
:V
Edit: Guys, what does this mean?

I can always appreciate when a Pheonix/Sent team gets stomped.
Even when Sent is on the other team.
Watching that fight reminded me of how much I have been neglecting Haggar. I gotta change that
I feel the same way.
Generally I get assists that don't combo into anything (Ex. Dark Harmonizer, or Taskmaster Vertical Shot). Gotta change that.
Also… is it just me, or does this game have the easiest achievements ever? Aside from about three, I got them all very early on...

Perhaps first official Shuma and Jill trailers?
-
If you're using Taskmaster as an assist, his horizontal shot is the way to go.
-
Could be, but why waste an announcement on two characters that we already have been bombarded with online?
Then again, I've seen weirder things happen.
-
Maybe they'll announce god damn spectator mode.
-
Maybe they'll announce god damn spectator mode.
:wassat: Huh? Forgot about that..
:ermm: Thinks about it…
 Remembers how much he learned from SSF4 Spectator...
I would pat a lot for that.
-
Maybe announce the next two DLC characters.
shrug I'm just glad I'm on Spring Break during the time.
-
It better be Spectator mode, then we can all have some actual fun in a large lobby!
-
Motherfucking THIS
Me and Dervish were talking about that the other night in the "Sarus Rape for All" Lobby.Watching two License Cards smack each other is not nearly as fun as watching people get pummeled by 100+ hit combos =\
-
They need to tweak the netcode a bit more before we get a spectator mode: Some matches will slow to a crawl for no fucking reason and with all those bright colors and background movement it could really cause some massive lag/
-
About that… is it normal for the PSN to just like randomly log me out?
Never had that issue on Live =\
-

Like sign you out of your account and what not? Because I've had that happen unless there was some update that I getting.
Or do mean like lobbies randomly dropping and loosing connections? Because I think that would be a MvC3 herp-a-derp. Hopefully it will all get patched up by the time Shuma and Jill are out.
-

For some reason I get it A LOT when I play this game.
-

Yeah, like I'll be chilling watching Hulu and all of the sudden it's like:
**"HERP-A-DERP NIGGAH,
YOU SIGNED OUT!"**
Wat?
Or do mean like lobbies randomly dropping and loosing connections? Because I think that would be a MvC3 herp-a-derp. Hopefully it will all get patched up by the time Shuma and Jill are out.
Haven't had that happen yet…
knocks on wood
Speaking of which, Friday is the estimated arrival of my Stick.
Meaning this weekend I'll be getting on PSN and hopefully you gents can show me the ropes (I.E. kick my ass) in some MvC3, and maybe even get some SSFIV action going since I'm rusty as hell.
-
I switched to hard wire connection so I think I had some smooth games as of late.
