@MasterKingJC:
What is this dribble? Are you saying Blackbeard "stole" their names and got more powerful?
No, I'm saying, it's possible (POSSIBLE) foreshadowing that the real Blackbeard's given name Edward Teach (or Thatch), is comprised of three parts.
Edward (Quake fruit) + Teach (???? Fruit) + Thatch (Darkness Fruit).
In a sense, the current Blackbeard in One Piece is "complete" by having the power of the characters that all share the same thread (part of their name completes the Real Blackbeard name). It can also simply be implied that Teach + Edward (through his power) + Thatch (through his power) simply completes the Blackbeard name.
Two of the three names have a power attached to them. Who is to say the third name (Teach) didn't already have a power before, and we didn't know about it?
This is really hard to convey because of how confusing the same name used in multiple contexts is.
Edward Teach (Thatch), Real Blackbeard.
OP Blackbeard has the NAME of Blackbeard, but he doesn't have the same "real" name. This is because he takes part of the other two characters through their fruit, thus, if you borrow both NAME of the characters of the FRUIT he stole into his own. He becomes the real deal.
However, this connection is done through fruits. So who is to say Teach (the only given name without a fruit so far that completes the full Real Blackbeard name), doesn't have one? Each part of the name has a fruit associated with it except his. It could simply be a metaphor for Blackbeard's rise to power. He's finally "complete" with both the Quake fruit (adding Edward to his name) and Darkness Fruit (adding Thatch).
It simply boils down to the fact that Oda distributed this name across 3 different people, and 2 of them have had powers put into the 3rd.
Am I making this any clearer? It's not really concrete evidence of anything, it's just a thought I had that I never really caught onto, but could imply (but not guarantee) that Blackbeard has his own, 3rd fruit.
