Well, at least we agree on that.
Most Disappointing Thing in One Piece

Ok, maybe a little extreme, but she doesn't interact with the rest of the crew as much as the other Strawhats.
But thats whats called group dinamics.
If it wasn't her then it would be someone else - I mean Zoro is almost on Par with her for aloofness (not a word I think)He does training in his own place - sleeps while the crew is busy - was often left guarding the ship because he was asleep and often is walking around lost. His interaction with Sanji is great for a funny break in the tension. But all in all he is almost as distant from the crew as Robin yet he cares for them just as much as she does.
Zoro was preparred to sacrifice his life for them.
Robin sacrificed her life and happiness for them.I'm not trying to force you to like her - you either do or don't and I can see the issue, being happy left alone to your own devices always seems suspicious to others.

Don't use group dynamics as an excuse for Robin. Everyone on the crew can interact equally without the readers getting tired of it, we don't need someone that is a statue most of the time. zoro may act the lone wolf but he still interacts with the crew whilst on islands or in the background, whilst Robin is posing with her hands on her hips.
The other thing annoyed me was when Kuma asked the crew and everyone else to give Luffy's head and they all said no whilst there were dots for robin's speech bubble, i still don't understand that, how would she know that Kuma was lying, if he was, unless she grew an eyeball on his ass and saw that his fingers were crossed behind his back
That is just plain wrong. She has supposedly found the meaning of living and happiness with the crew. She didn't sacrifice anything, she gained something great

It's a word.
And not really right BTW.
Robins seem to interact with Nami the most.
Not taking side, just saying. -
Zoro is bad character. If not for his ability to fight with 3 swords at the same time he would not be needed at all.

When she handed herself to CP9 and made the deal with them for the SH's to leave safetly she was represented as Sacrificing her life AND her happiness for them.
The action of sacrifice occurred - them saving her and giving her a better life was part of the deal of the offer. So it still stands she gave up everything for them just as Zoro has.I don't recall the scene in TB - I'll look it up again.
I do recall her face and Luffy's as they are seperated at SA - essentially the crew has bonded with her enough that she is important to them and they are important to her. At least I see it that way, but I don't begrudge you having issue with her. Your opinion is yours alone.

Robins seem to interact with Nami the most.Yes well they have just re-united but a lot of the Pre-Timeskip he was always off center of the crew. Independant enough to not need to be close but caring enough to show compassion for them at all times. I think with him preparred to lay down his life for them at a moments notice he has to have that personality.
-

You keep reinforcing the opinion that you're a complete shit poster every time you open your mouth.
"lol if zorro didnt hav his swords he would be completly useles 2 the crew, fuck his physical strength and second-in-command status"

That was her own choice, she heard about the buster call and immediately went with the demands of CP9. At the end of the day the Strawhats still had to fight CP9, so much for sacrificing happiness and life for the crew.
Zoro had no choice in the matter. For Robin the situation with the buster call left some mental scarring, but her upping and leaving without a word, was total idiocy. She should have realized that Luffy and the rest of the crew will follow a crew member to the ends of the earth if they were in trouble.

Point of reference if you're going to make a joke based on something roughly similar to what someone said before in a tongue in cheek manner at least quote it.
Unless you were not trying for a joke and serious in which case I really don't need to argue the point others will more then likely tear you to shreds. That was her own choice, she heard about the buster call and immediately went with the demands of CP9. No I think the past history of over 2 decades(?) of being betrayed and tossed aside makes this seem believable.
She made a deal believing that they would not follow and when she did - she tried hard to make them hate her. All for their benifit the realisation that they wanted her - is troubling and X months prior to time skip - and 2 years is not completely enough to not have lingering issues with intamacy with a crew after ages of betrayal.

Someone as intellectual as Robin couldn't grasp the character of Luffy and the rest of the crew? I find that hard to believe.

While I haven't been following the argument because I'm completely bored with it, I do feel compelled to answer this one point. Being intelectual has nothing to do with being able to understand people, in fact, it is often the intellectuals who have to hardest time understanding other people.
-

You mean interacting? Intellectuals have a hard time interacting with 'normal' people.

What?
I thought I was done and dusted with this. I still have to defend my opinions on this, bloody hell

Nope, I mean just what I said, understand. Like I said I have no idea what the previous conversation was, if I took what you said out of context I apologize but I didn't think it was worth reading the previous comments given that from the quick glance I gave each one they appeared to still be about Robin, a topic that should have ended several pages back.
Also you don't have to do anything of the sort, just stop replying and soon no one will bother challenging you.

i wouldn't recommend reading any of the previous stuff anyway.
Well I'm done for this, don't think anyone wanted to see pages of my damn name popping up every other post
-

Both actually - Some very smart people can interact but not understand the people they are with.
I think the movie "as good as it gets" is an easy way to show someone who can understand people but not interact with them. Although may not be a good example.
What?

He was quoting Ice Edge not you settle.

Opps my appologies - 12 hour night shifts I start to gloss over things towards the end of the night.

Lol - I think you need to try writing things a few times and looking at it from a perspective of "would this make sense to people who don't know me"
You'll make it easier to get your point across then.
-
It was a joke. More clear it cannot be.
Anyways I think we should change the subject. I think fez has defended himself well. It would be like doing it all over again.
-
All changing the subject would do is leave us back with nothing to talk about again though. I suppose it's still better than fighting.

I hated that Zoro had to swallow his pride and ask for help of his biggest rival in order to beat him later on in the story.

That was zoro maturing and swallowing his pride for furthering the crew's dreams.

omigod zorro acting like a crewmember is soooo lame
-
Indeed it was. It was sad thing to see.
It must been most painful thing ever.
Now even if he wins against mihawk in the final battle he would have done that almost by cheating. We should not call it cheating but it surely would not be fair.
But I guess this means that zoro wants for luffy and everyone else succeed more than to beat mihawk with his own strength.
-
Don't respond, you are all feeling verrrry sleeeepy and don't want to respond to this post…
-
I can't really say it's cheating if both sides were okay with it. Besides, he's still not good enough to beat Mihawk. The rest of the way his development… I got sleepy all of a sudden...
-
Dunno but it just does not feel the right way.
The guy gave him tips how to beat him. It just like me going to one of my teachers and asking them to help me. She would give me all the answers. All I needed is to remember them during the test.
It just ain't right.
-

Except it's not like that at all. Zoro still can't defeat Mihawk. He doesn't have all the answers to the test.
Not only that but I doubt Mihawk's just going to stand still and wait for Zoro to take his head. He'll advance as well. He's no fool.
-
Plus there's always the possibility that Zoro won't even get a shot at Mihawk.

Seriously you need the cool face troll image with this post if you're joking.
The teacher did give you help and the answers - they taught you.
But I think I too am feeling sleepy.

Mwhaahahahahahah! My diabolical plan is working!

No i mean just before the test. The correct answers. Answers like write this and exact that on this page.
But I guess it was horrible example now that I think about it.
Anyways why would zoro not find his own techs to beat mihawk. It would been more clean way to go.

Heheh. If Shillew beat Mihawk then he'd be Zoro's new target… wow!

This is what's gonna happened.
Also good goddamn riddance ice-edge.
-
I also don't think Zoro is even going to fight Mihawk.
And people are going to be so fucking pissed about it. Like fifty times more than when Zoro asked Mihawk for help. "WHAT!?! THEY AREN'T EVEN GOING TO FIGHT!?! BUT IT WAS ZORO'S DREAM TO…BLAHBLAHBLAH".
It will be a very painful month if/when it happens.
-

I don't particularly care one way or the other but I do think they will fight. The kind of build up this fight has had would seem kind of wasted otherwise. People say that someone else might beat Mihawk first but I don't see that being enough to stop Mihawk and Zoro's fight, especially now that Mihawk has trained Zoro. They know each other, they both think they will fight each other when, eventually, Zoro get's to Mihawks lvl. They will fight just because they both love fighting, they both like to match their strength against worthy opponents, so even if someone else beats Mihawk I don't think that will stop Zoro and him from fighting.
-
Zoro's goal has always been to be the best, not Mihawk in particular.
-
@JERK:
Zoro's goal has always been to be the best, not Mihawk in particular.
In case that was a response to my post, what you said is quite true, but also doesn't really have anything to do with my reasoning. Not that I'm all that confident in my reasoning, I only think that it is a little more likely that Zoro and Mihawk will fight than not.
-
^what if Zoro vs Mihawk vs Shiryuu at once..how's that sound?
-
I agree at this point it would be unsatisfying to see Mihawk lose to Zoro.
