It was a great movie, I need to see it again because I feel like I forgot all the hilarious jokes from when I saw it the 1st time.
I loved the Seinfeld (sitcom) parody part, had me cracking up.

Heven't watched the movie yet. Partly because I've been overexposed to Michael Cera's face and need a break of it. But heard only good stuff about this movie so it's on my to-do list for sure.
Played the game however and it's one of the most charming things I have seen in ages and I really got an appetite to read the comic now.
Found a free little comic strip on the artist's Flickr page.
Really digging the art-style and the humour.
I initially avoided viewing the trailer as if it were the plague, but it could be rather funny, especially considering the acting career of the main star.
(juno was interesting)

the new flickr interface just feels ugly and glitchy and clunky to me.
you can find previews to each book here, as well as one of the scott pilgrim shorts:http://scottpilgrim.com/inside.php?id=previews
i guess the others, like the one on that flickr, were taken done to help sell the scott pilgrim collection that they were published in.
also, if you like the art, you can see it here in a fully-colored webcomic he and his cartoonist wife, hope larson, did together. she wrote, he drew:

^these are much easier to read without the new flickr interface..
I went to go see the movie today. My god, I heard Hipster used in a sentence at least fifty times before I left the concession stand. It was pretty good expect for two things:
1. Michael Cera's face
2. I was under the impression that lesbians exploded into bunnies upon defeat. You lied to me movie.
My favorite music video of the year:

eh, Michael Cera really reminded me of one of my gay teachers. Made it kinda half to understand his character as I felt mildly irritated by it all the way through.
Aside from that great movie.
I don't really get the Michael Cera hate, he has been good in everything that I have seen him in, even if he does play the same character.
I like him in Arrested Development a lot, though that show was just awesome anywayā¦
Really loved playing the game. It brings back so many memories when my cousins and me teamed up in games. I only played the hardest mode with Scott and played the rest of them on easy. God it was hard the first time around. The endings were kind of bad to me expect for two. Saw the movie some time ago, it was great. The comic is still the best though.
Scott Pilgrim VS The World did not make the Top 10 in this past weekend's (Week 3) Box Office.
Borrowing the books from one of my friends. Finished Book 2. Most likely going to get the all the books in the near future. Perhaps Amazon will have a bundle with the bluray or something.

A BIG thanks! Loved the hell out of the little comic and the style is just easy on the eye in my book. Not too extravagant and I like it like that.
I crave more and am pondering to buy the first volumeā¦

My sentiment (minus the gay teacher part haha)
anyone UKers know how the film is doing in england?
i know it just opened there to way more fanfare than the US or Canada..
It's currently second in the UK film charts

I'm on volume 5, had set myself a goal of reading them all before seeing the film, which I'm not gonna make as I'm seeing it tonight. Cannot wait!
I have to mention that I was able to play Scott Pilgrim - The Game with my friend the other day and absolutely loved it. But even more I loved the soundtrack and immediately had to find out more about this band: Anamanaguchi. Being a huge retro gaming and especially retro gaming music / remix fan, I can't believe I never heard of this band. Definately worth checking out if you're into said stuff and chiptune bands.

Ewā¦ Why the Young Neil's actor couldn't be Scott?

I saw the movie today and it was awesome :D
I'm also a fan of the books and i liked the art style

I discovered Anamanaguchi thanks to the game as well. XD Just the kind of music I've always wanted to hear.
Airbrushed is one of my most favorite songs from them.

I really really enjoyed this movie.
You guys should also check out I Fight Dragons if you like chiptune music.
Anamanaguchi and IFD kick lots of ass. Though IFD mixes chiptune music with rock.

Thanks for the recommendation, IFD definately sounds like something I could get behind. Checked out their EP from Spotify.

That's a shame.
Poor Scott. It was expected since it's a niche hit.
Does anyone know where I might see scott pilgrim without leaving my computer seat? It's no longer in any theaters near me and i really want to see it again.

Besides the crappy cam/TS releases of the movie, I suggest wait until DVD/Bluray comes out. Probably a long wait.
If you can't wait, go visit some of those torrent sites for those crappy in quality releases of the movie. :/

Right about that. I don't know any of those sites. Pm me a link maybe?
DERP moment, but I didn't realize that Anamanaguchi also did the music for Bit.Trip games on WiiWare.
New favorite band!
November 9th - DVD/BD release.
Where did you find that out?
Thanks!
Though I'm sad it didn't do so well in the US, I'm thrilled it will come out on DVD/Blu-ray so soon!
Second best movie of the year so far.
Sweet! Now Scott doesn't have to be alone in my sig!
Cool. I was waiting for a sprite of Todd Ingram.
Kind of sad (but understandable) that Patel doesn't get his sprite made.
FUCKING LOVE THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
watched it three times
and although I hate those people who don't know anything about something and then become completely interested in it because of the movies, I am indeed one of these people this time
and I hate being those people
the avengers movie will be somewhat evil for this exact reason as people who don't know anything about them will think they know everything
Hey man. As long as the existence of a movie brings in additional audience, it's fine by me. Unless it's TLA or somethingā¦

welcome to my world.
The movie was alright, a bit long at the beginning until the first Ex arrives
I didn't like the Comics, they bored me
Another one of those things I read just so I can be part of my friends' talk about this and pretend I enjoy the living shit out of it
Wouldn't it be more fun if you just went with your own opinion and bashed the comics? That would surely give better conversation
Booooooooriiiiiiiiiiing
And no, it wouldn't, cause they would avoid me until the "Scott Pilgrim is so cool" phase ended
I've been meaning to check out Scott Pilgrim for years, but there was always just something stopping me. I just played the game demo, and while it was fun, it was the most Canadian thing I've ever come across and I'm a little weirded out.

I lol'd way harder than I should've, then I lol'd even harder when I got reminded of Kuminator, and then I lol'd even harder when I got reminded you were exactly the guy that started the discussion
I finally finished the comic last night. Could not be happier! Thank you, Canada!

The problem with this is that some people take the movie as the ONLY source of info on the subject at hand.
One of my co-workers said they can't have anymore batman movies because the Joker died. I told him Batman has plenty of other villains to fight.
He says and I quote:
"No one could fuck with batman except the Joker!"
I tell him about Mr. Freeze, Bane (who broke his fucking back and threw him in the ocean), Clayface, Scarface, and Slade.
He doesn't know who any of them are besides Mr. Freezeā¦.:getlost:
Someone missed out on the amazing Batman: The Animated Series then. Said co-worker of yours needs to remedy that.
