A couple weeks ago, I had a funny experience. I went with a few radio station guys for a 4:20 high. We go over to one of their houses and smoke a couple bowls out of a bong (with a new attachment that gave it an extra chamber). We all parted our separate ways and I headed back to my dorm for a little high SSB with my friends. I decided to listen to a little Surfer Blood, since I was feeling so good and I soon got lost in the music. The walk took probably five or so minutes, but it felt like it was taking an eternity. I eventually made it to a familiar intersection near my dorm and who do I run into? It was a professor I had met this morning, who works on a research project that I'm assisting with. He starts making a few casual comments and I realize that it's really hard to hear what he's saying. I'm thinking, "Oh, shit, did I blow my ears out? Is the pot really this good?" I could barely understand him and made the few small remarks I could, besides "What did you say?". Then, it hits me. I left my iPod on the entire time, in my ears. Realizing this, I pulled them out of my ears and tried to play it off smoothly. "Man, I forgot I was wearing these. It's kind of like when you lose your glasses and realize you had them on the whole time!" Of course, I was about hitting the peak of my high, eyes red, still smelling of it. I just saw him again the other day for a meeting on the research project, though, and apparently I got away with the entire thing, haha.
