The style isn't really one that I like much, but it wasn't bad. The guitar solo was the highpoint for me, really well done, but there is something about the vocals that I'm not really digging. It could be that he's just getting overpowered by the rest of the band when he really should be standing out. Overall it's pretty good though, just not my style

I really did not know that Shatner did music. Pleasantly surprised. I love songs like this. It really feels like the man the is talking to us and not singing at all. This song works so well because of Shatner and the other guy who actually does the singing work so well together. Whenever Shatner stops, the other guys is always there to pick it up. You really felt some kind of message through the song. This is a great song.

Time to do this again, even though this song is simply a classic that everyone worthy of life should know.
Ella's voice is just beautiful, but saying that is like saying that air is breathable. I always thought the orchestral sound was a bit much and smothered the vulnerability in Ella's performance, but it's quiet and reserved, so it doesn't get in the way too much. The melody itself, though, is a nice accent for the piece. I think my favorite take on this tune is still Miles Davis' version, but I still can't stress enough how great Ella sounds on this.

Never heard of these guys before but damn they should be famous. Some of the best reggae I have ever heard. The guys vice fits so well. It is so gruff and matches so well with the music itself. Got to love the class raggae music in the background. The thing with raggae, especially with me, is that understanding the words is really hard so I judge the song on the flow, mood, and the beat. This song fills all these requirements quite well.

Ok this song surprised me when I hit the play button. And not only because I was a expecting a song by a band that also goes by the name of The Burial but makes very different kind of music; Punk/Soul crossover :D With that out of the way I have to say it was a fun song. Really, really love how this song started off. Nice classy yet eerie violin which leads into what is to come. I have said this before. I do not go and listen to metal for fun. I only appreciate what it is when I am forced to sit down and listen to a song. People think that metal is just screaming but you can definitely that bands like this really put their heart and soul into a song. Wonderful guitarist, also a equally vocalist.

I haven't heard this Coil song in particular, but it's definitely typical of them (in a great way). Fantastic electronic stuff. This song really nails the disconcertingly calm ocean sound. The odd, surreal lyrics add a cool rhythmic qualities, falling into the songs like drops, as the rippling sonic textures lead me to understand. The clear, ethereal music higher in the mix gains a creepy atmosphere with the droning going on underneath it. Fantastic stuff. I really need to buy some more Coil.

You know, that name was so familiar, then realized it was the guy that did enjoy your rabbit/ run rabbit run from a decade or so ago. What's up (doc) with all the rabbit references? Anyway, yeah you never know what this guy is going to come up with next album which is why he's an artist. Weeell… I have to say that I don't get it. Maybe it's my limited grasp of English that stands in the way but I have no idea what that song is about. It sounds nonsensical to me. The saxophone was nice but I didn't like the synthesizer beat most of the time. Overall not a very positive experience.

A classic with far more bass than I expect from daft punk I liked the 2 min ish portion of the remix myself, but the ending didn't really do it for me. Good song overall though. I remember late 90's daft punk came to a local radio station to play live at the bequest from the late night music host. There's a lot going on in that one, and a lot to like too. The intro is a bit odd, but builds well to the chorus, and the drumming and percussion is outstanding. Some great, thought-provoking lyrics there delivered with great passion, and the backup singers are a really nice touch. I could never get into the whole electronic, synth, New Wave type sound personally, but I can see why people really enjoy it. This was better than most I've heard from that genre

Yeah, the audio quality of that song was horrible. They butchered the upload or something. Yep that is J Pop. They have two Canadians and 2 Japanese people in the band. The singer speaks Japanese, English, and French and he switches between them in some of his songs. Very popular in Japan apparently.
That's J Pop? Anyway it has the typical electroic(?) voice and annoying keyboard tune you get in pretty much every modern rnb song today. The last minute was ok but everything before that I didn't like.
