@Wagomu:
Oh man. I return to this thread to find a Coil song posted by a (supposed) Sam & Max fan. You're my new friend. I haven't heard this Coil song in particular, but it's definitely typical of them (in a great way). Fantastic electronic stuff. This song really nails the disconcertingly calm ocean sound. The odd, surreal lyrics add a cool rhythmic qualities, falling into the songs like drops, as the rippling sonic textures lead me to understand. The clear, ethereal music higher in the mix gains a creepy atmosphere with the droning going on underneath it. Fantastic stuff. I really need to buy some more Coil.

Wow, been a long long time since I've listened to punk but this one band escaped me. Love early punk and no surprise it came out late 70's/early 80's, before people decided on what punk needed to sound like
Enjoyed it so much I played it twice. Definitely going to look at their other work. :wub:
Not a shocker it's off SST.
Btw yeah, don't expect many to catch the s&m reference so hush hush.
@CosmicDebris:
While that's not exactly the style of music I would generally go looking for, I went and listened to a bunch of the band's other songs and it's kind of catchy.
And this is one of the wierder songs I've heard in a while, I'm not sure what to think of it.

You know, that name was so familiar, then realized it was the guy that did enjoy your rabbit/ run rabbit run from a decade or so ago. What's up (doc) with all the rabbit references? Anyway, yeah you never know what this guy is going to come up with next album which is why he's an artist. Not a bad song actually considering the subject it's referencing, but it's a style that is purposely discordant. Reminds me of Tim Exile in that sense but I already placed a song hehe. Would have to listen to more of that album to really get a good vibe on the song.

So in the less than well known 80's bands bin... not too obscure, but well those don't even have you tube vids..

So much great music out there, not nearly enough time to listen to it all.
