But there's no point insisting that she will join anymore. As far as I'm concerned, we may see the goodbye as a small flashback next chapter. And that's it. No more Boa Hancock for quite some time in OP.

At that point I thought "Wow, I was wrong, Ace's not going to die after all" and gave up on that prediction. One chapter later, and he's mortally wounded. Two chapters later, and he's dead. WOW. I had predicted right, but gave up one chapter before that happened. It was a fun surprise.
Do I hope that it may happen again? Oh, hell, I do. But do I believe it will happen? No, I don't. So, I give up. Better to be pleasantly surprised later than sorely disappointed.

I can't see how anybody would be convinced 100% that she will join, nor the opposite.
It's easy to be convinced 100% Perona won't join. There hasn't been anything in the story at all that would hint she would join.

Margarite's "…..." seemed to me like she was impressed of Luffy's power over the animals. Nyon's "......" was in response to Luffy denying Hancock's advances. I don't see a lot of meaning beyond that, but Oda could indeed be implying something.

I think her bitchy persona is much more interesting than her lovey side, and that lovesick side was being shown too much because she was basically interacting only with Luffy. If you looked a bit more closely you can see a "doki doki" sound effect coming from her. I know it's a bit of stretch, but from this I'm hoping she caught the "love sickness" and she now has to stay with Luffy for a while. Of course, Hancock won't allow this so I'm thinking Nyon might help her come up with a reason to go with Luffy, which is most likely the "looking after Luffy in Hancock's place" reason.
Again it's a bit of, well a big, stretch. So, I'm not gonna hold my breath.

It's not just Boa Hancock that didn't get a goodbye. I wanted to know what happened to Haredas and Heracles and pretty much everybody else the other Strawhats were with, but I don't think we'll be seeing any of them until the chapters start going through cameos of everybody like Oda did for the bounties in Enies Lobby.
I'm not holding my breath for more "resolution" between Hancock, but I do think she'll be seen again in the future, just not anytime soon. Given Luffy rejected her "marraige" proposal, that pretty much settled the bulk of any "issues" between them.

Well they were given 3 potentials in the story - in a large arc that could have led to any of them becoming the next crewmate.
Now it's time to wait and see what develops and if nothing occurs then to asses the upcoming situations and if they will lead to a new crewmate.
