Mali played okay, but it needs to flex their muscles a bit more. I was actually rooting for Mali, but I knew somehow South Korea was going to beat them.
Oh well, maybe next time.

What a terrible day for me. First, I heard that France will be in the same group as Spain for the next world cup qualification, so we might not make it to the next world cup. Then, since my parents were born in Mali and most of my families are living in this country, I was obviously rooting for them against South Korea, unfortunately they lost, and France were slaughtered by Colombia.
Sometimes, life can be really harsh.
Well:
!
hey you all =) Does anyone know of any good online sites that sell legit soccer jerseys. To my dismay FIFA does not have its own online store, and the adidas store only carries certain teams. Two jerseys that i am specifically looking for is 1.) a iker casillas jersey spain world cup and 2.) a venezuela jersey, specifically from this years copa america….any help would be appreciated =)
No one here watching the sub-20 World Cup?
I missed yesterday's matches, and will probably be missing most of this week's matches, which is sad, I'm looking forward to Spain vs Costa Rica today though. Costa Rica was fourth place last sub-20 world cup and the team looks strong again, besides they have Joel Campbell who did great at Copa America. And Spain, well they are Spain!

Yes: http://www.soccer.com/Navigation.process?Ne=3965&Srp=24&N=4294960638+458, you should be able to find the venezuela jersey you were looking for there, and also the Casillas' one.

I'm currently watching the France match. I hope they will win and Mali will do the same after, though I'm sure that won't happen.

I love how we're on completely different sides when it comes to this group. I'm cheering for Colombia and South Korea for that group, as both of them are countries I love. I also respect France and the french, but not as much and they always have a chance to shine anyways. Plus, there's the possibility of France making it to the next round as a best third.
So, Colombia is now at the head of the group, South Korea in a loose second and France and Mali have to fight it out. Who are you supporting in the France and Mali match?
I'm hoping for Korea to survive but I've got to admit chances are they'll end up third after a french victory.
Who are you supporting in the France and Mali match?
I wouldn't be able to decide in normal condition. But, it currently seems impossible for Mali to make it to the next round, so I will probably be cheering for France on this one.
Man, tonight was a good night for football. Chivas of Mexico absolutely destroyed Barcelona in the second half of tonight's game, and the Portland Timbers ended the Galaxy's 14 game unbeaten streak with a 3-0 win.
!
!
I love you Nani
yeah, i jumped out of my seat when he did that.
there was only going to be one likely winner when he was one-on-one with the keeper.
anyone know any working sites where i can watch today's world cup matches? thanks in advance
So kinda happy that USA and Mexico tied today for Jurgen Klinsmann's sake so that people wouldn't expect the world because we beat Mexico in a friendly. Though the throwdown by Mexico on Robbie Rogers should have been a penalty kick.
Can't wait for the future and some Klinsmann power slides every time USA scores.
Poor Real Madrid. Playing like PIGS, trying to hurt the other team's players, using all the dirty techniques they know. . .
And losing. Wow. Must be pretty sad, eh?
And Mourinho, stop poking other people's eyes. It's kind of a bad behaviour, you know?
This clasico was one of the best games i've in the last years it had everything yo wish for as a fottball fan.
And damn Pepe and Marcelo are fucking douchebags.
It's a damn shame, cause Madrid's game has improved a lot (Barça being in a low physical form and lack of preparation due to a lackluster pre-season planning also has a LOT to do with it) and it was a beautiful game. . .until the end came, and Pepe and Marcelo started going batshit insane (as freaking allways), and Mourinho doing his usual show of bad taste, bad behaviour and stupid actions. Puting his finger on Tito Vilanova's eye was absurdly moronic, even for him. He deserves to be punished (again. . .). Then, in the press conference, he blames Barça for starting everything. Seriously, it's absurd. It's like a bad joke. This guy will destroy spanish football (here, almost every damn coach hates him for some reason), and I fear the next Clasico will end even worse than this one. If that's a possibility.
Puting his finger on Tito Vilanova's eye was absurdly moronic, even for him.
And in the press conference he called him pito vilanova, lol, sometimes this guy is like a little kid.
pd: pito is a childish way to say penis in spanish
I don't get why Pepe is still allowed to play professionally. The guy obviously has temper issues. Remember this anyone?
!
Its only a matter of time before he murders someone on the field.
You know, I always thought of Mourinho as a brilliant manager and most of his bluster is actually planned as mind games and things like that, but with the last match he went over the line, I lost my respect for him. One of the best games by two of the strongest team in the world, and it's completely ruined by the end. Very disappointing.
yeah, i actually thought that they were going to make it. i thought we would get one of those rare classicos where nothing kicks off and everyone plays a good game of football.
then all it took was one more foul from madrid, in the very last minute.
the barca bench exploded in rage, which sparked a retaliation from the madrid bench.
i don't know whether to laugh with mourinho because of how trollish he was with his "hit-and-run" poke, or to loathe his guts because of the nature of the act.
probably the latter. it has no place in the modern game.
what kind of an example do you set for your players if you get yourself involved???
when shit like this happens, it sets the game back several years…
Madrid was better than Barca in the pitch. 1st time after years, despite the fact that they lost the game.
messi was still the man of the match for me, he showed some more of his class and scored two goals.
for me, he was one of the key elements in this game. without him, barca might have indeed succumbed to an improved madrid side.
EDIT: I also can't believe the nerve of Mourinho.
he apparantly said:
"There were no ball boys in the second half, which is something typical of small teams when experiencing difficulties."
to put things in perspective, when real won out in the copa del rey, the Barca coach congratulated them on their victory.
mourinho's reaction upon losing is to belittle the other team. this just doesn't sit well with me.
he doesn't deserve that real madrid hotseat, he taints it.
Madrid was indeed slightly superior to Barça. . .cause Barça's pre-season planning was ridiculous. They're in a much weaker physical condition than Madrid.
Messi went there with 1 week of training. Alexis had, what, 3 days of meeting the rest of his team mates?
Overall Madrid had a better pre-season, and their players are much stronger physicaly right now. The massive ammounts of defensive errors Barça did, won't happen 2 or 3 months in the future.
Assuming Madrid is now better than Barça (according to Madrid's sports press, they already think they're superior after these 2 matches) based on Barça's current physical level and preparation is deluding yourself. In 1 month, Barça will be much closer to it's real level than now.
And just wait untill Cesc, Thiago and Alexis are fully integrated into the team. . .
yeah, Barca are absolute monsters when they hit top gear.
…
Congratulations Brazil, for winning the 2011 Sub-20 World Cup.
Btw, great game...5 goals is awesome.
Group A Bayern Munich, Villarreal, Manchester City, Napoli
Group B Internazionale, CSKA Moscow, Lille, Trabzonspor
Group C Manchester United, Benfica, Basel, Otelul Galati
Group D Real Madrid, Lyon, Ajax, Dinamo Zagreb
Group E Chelsea, Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen, Genk
Group F Arsenal, Marseille, Olympiacos, Borussia Dortmund
Group G FC Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit St Petersburg, APOEL
Group H Barcelona, AC Milan, BATE Borisov, Viktoria Plizen
IT IS ON!!!!
group A, D, E and F tough ones.
and WTF with group G?
Group A looks really tough, that's the death group; every team in Group G will get a fair chance of advancing to the next round that's for sure; Man U as usual get an easy group…
Group E might not be as tough as group A but it will definitely have some really interesting matches.
certainly group A is the toughest.
my prediction
Group A : Munich, City
Group B : Inter, CSKA (Lille get chance though)
Group C : MU, Benfica
Group D : Madrid, Lyon
Group E : Chelsea, Valencia (hard to predict)
Group F : Arsenal, Dortmund (just as hard to predict)
Group G : Porto, Donetsk
Group H : Barca, Milan…... duh
Finally, I've been waiting for an AC Milan - Barcelona match for quite some time now. Sure we'll get our asses handed to us by Xavi and co, but it should be fun nonetheless. Never heard of Viktoria Plizen before… But I hate how Man Utd always get easy draws.
Holy shit, Group A really is the group of death. Although Bayern will most likely progress, I'm not sure who will make it between Napoli and City. Napoli are playing some pretty good football and City only half-decent team chemistry. Maybe City can scrape through due to having a better rotation squad.

You're counting Villarreal off too soon, which is a mistake. They're a pretty damn fine team, and from my point of view they might very well be quite better than Napoli. City and Bayern I don't know, but they'll give them a run for their money, that's for sure. They lost Cazorla, who is a top level player, but they still have a lot of high quality in there. Rossi, Nilmar, Cani, Borja Valero. . .they're all very strong players.
Definitely the group of death. And I love City and Munich as well, so I don't know who I'll be cheering on to pass.
From the rest, Barça Milan will be lots of fun, I want to see Ibrahimovic again (I miss him greatly), other than that not a problem; Madrid playing AGAIN against Ajax and Olympique, they'll breeze through that group, they have no rival in there; Manchester will pass without problems; Chelsea and I think Valencia too; Inter; and. . .Porto I guess. All of these are a given. But I really want to see how Arsenal will fare in a fairly difficult group now that they lost Cesc and Nasri. Walcott and Van Persie will have a lot of work this year.
On a side note, any of you guys will watch the UEFA Super Cup final tomorrow? I think it'll be a kick-ass match. Of course, I'm a 100% Barcelona supporter, so I'll be cheering them, and Porto missing Falcao is a strong handicap for the portuguese team, but I think it will be a hard and disputed match.

Group A is the group of death. Absolutely anyone has a fair shot at going through. I have a sneaky feeling Bayern might miss out. Two of Dortmund, Arsenal and Marseille will progress in Group F, again too close to call. Groups C, D and H are pretty straight, the order they are in in the list should be the final order of teams. CSKA/Lille, Valencia/Leverkusen and Shakhtar/Zenit should be exciting battles, with the matches between themselves pretty important to the final standings. Porto and United must be thanking their lucky stars, United the luckiest by far.

I second that.
Villarreal has enough quality to compete with the other three.
Though in a tournament as big as Champions League, experience and player fitness hold important role.
Bayern certainly has the experience and enough players to rotate to keep their fitness.
City may lack in experience, but they have many strong players to rotate.
While Napoli and Villareal depends too much on 2 or 3 main players.
So I think Bayern and City will progress.
Anyway, this year will be interesting given that there are many tough groups.
Three trophies in three games for Fabregas with his new team. I can picture the frustration for the Arsenal fans and the rest of the team.

Yeah you're right, but I never 'wrote them off'. Villarreal are definitely a good team and have very good teamwork. Their players are pretty good too. Infact, I was hoping for Rossi to join Milan a year or 2 ago. I still do, although it doesn't as likely as it was then. Also, Marcos Senna. He's a greatly underrated player. Sure he's not the same as he was 2 years ago with his age catching up to him, but the guy has a massive amount of endurance.
You also forgot their latest signing Zapata. He has great potential. I should know, because I follow Serie A much closer than other leagues, and Udinese is a team that always pulls an upset against the top 4.
(Sorry for the late reply, I didn't get a notification of your reply)
Arsenal suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucks, it's almost unbearable watching them get owned by the ManU wankers.
Go Man City, take it all this year.

How long until Wenger commits suicide or someone makes his blood run in the streets?
Was any of that real? I'm still reeling.
Just saw the highlights 8/2 dear god… Man U raped arsenal.
i haven't had so much fun watching a football game in a while, some excellent stuff (especially rooney's two free kicks).
but i gotta feel bad when i look at it from arsenal's point of view. it's going to be tough to pick the players up after such a result.
i agree with the sky sports pundit who was visibly frustrated at their performance (his name escapes me).
he was saying that arsenal's problem is that they have no back up plan. arsene always has "plan A", but doesn't have a "plan B" for when things get rough.
right now, arsenal need change. fuck telling those players week-in and week-out to go and play "the arsenal way". it doesn't mean shit when you can't get the results.
wenger basically led his team to the slaughter today.
the players had a defeated look in their body language early on, the defence played too high up the field, they gave the ball away cheaply, etc.
it…didn't feel like watching arsenal at all...
if they don't sort themselves out soon...fuck trying for the top 4, they'll be fighting to even stay in the middle of the table.
bad future ahead of wenger's boys.
they need an entirely new team, not just the players but also the management team.
I foresee total failure both in EPL and UCL.
Liverpool will take their place in top 4, also Marseille and Dortmund will prevail, I think.
Boy, I would h8-2 be an Arsenal fan right now
I watched the total annihilation of Arsenal vs MU live, and at this point I can't even laugh at them anymore, I just feel pity. Their defense is just beyond pathetic - just look at Welbeck's first goal and Nani's goal and even Park, those are really because the mistakes of the defense giving them all the time in the world to take the shot. Sure, most are injured - but it's not like they're all world-class anyway, and some of the first team members are playing already - not to mention that 8-2 is just inexcusable no matter what. I don't even know how to fix this anymore - like Massimo said, they need a total overhaul to fix this, don't expect things to be fixed in just a year, let alone before the transfer market ends. They got a bunch of money from selling Fab and Nasri, get the management to OK them to be used.
it said it all when ferguson said that he was glad the scoreline didn't get any larger, purely out of awkward pity for arsenal.
talk about putting salt in the wounds, lol.
6:2 against Austria
We are already qualified for the European Football Championship next year! Yay!
well congrats Luffyko.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Germany lift the Euro cup
They are capable of winning that tourney

I really hope we win THIS time…
The last time we won was 1996, and I didn't watch football during that time, I mean, I was only seven x'D

I do too.
Been tired of waiting for it since 2002 LOL
Oli Kahn really impressed me back in 2002 that till now I support Germany in every tournament.
Now I really love Schweinsteiger and Lahm…
also Muller :P
