Yup, it is canon.

The series got renamed to Frankencastle too. If you really are into the Punisher, however, you should just read the MAX comics anyways. Most people say the current stuff isn't that great, though.

Oddly enough, I think I got use to FrankenCastle yesterday, I was reading up on it a little.
I heard the opposite about the current stuff, and that people actually liked it, but eh, I guess that's just the internet. xD
I've been wanting to read the Max stuff, buuuuut I kinda need money for that.:happy: I better get a job soon!

Everyone says to read the Ennis stuff.

People are saying the current Max chapters are garbage because each chapter tries to one-up the previous one by having more gore or something more outlandish happen.

I have 1 TPB of the Max series, it was the first one. I forget what it's called, but it was pretty good. It seemed to focus more on the villians than the Punisher himself, but it pulled it off pretty well.

gaiman which led to carey. i like "lucifer morningstar" very much. i also like ennis & dillon when they aren't wangsting pages of text about religion. i think they are the best interpreters, so to speak, of wangsty john constantine. as for superheroes, whatever. and i had years of "heavy metal" until i thought i had to grow up or something. that was a hit or miss mag, but it was right sharp when it was. however, i will remain true to wile e. coyote forever and ever.

Even though I live right by what's probably the biggest comic shop in Florida, I never get much Constantine because they're sometimes snots about Vertigo. In fact, pretty much anything I like aside from superhero comics are harder to come across than they should be.

Not that I've really been keeping up with comics recently.

all comic book shops have attitude, but all the tatt shops i've been in had guys well-mannered enough to take home to gramma - if gramma's keen on the hell's angels look.

Coincidentally, my local shop is right next to a popular tattoo shop, so they pretty much have the same crowd. Pale, skinny, tatted up 20 somethings with a passing interest in the medium at best.

All I know is that it is the first time I have EVER been interested in a Superman story. I'm definitely picking it up. Shane Davis' artwork is stellar, JMS is a good author, and the ideas to revamp Superman's character seem great.

I've been reading Origin of the Species in Amazing Spider-Man. It's alright, but the story is too focused on quick trade-offs of Spidey villains instead of a bigger plan and I hate Paul Azaceta's art. Everyone looks old and none of the women look female.

Just finished reading Hulk Volume 5: Fall of the Hulks. Damn, this arc is awesome and the Twisted ending for the book.

Aleast I still got to read Fall of the Hulks: The Savage She-Hulks for now. Soon, I'm planned to get the other Fall of the Hulks books (The Incredable Hulk one, and the Fall of the Hulks: Red Hulk mini series).

The ending has bats & the joker walk off into the sunset laughing at some terrible joke, despite the fact he'd only just killed someone…

i like mike carey ("lucifer morningstar"), but "the sandman" faded on multiple reads. it's not all goth and/or spandex wangst.

oi, the storycraft evolved, i'd say, but the coolest thing about the gaiman universe was the guest artists. in a way, it's like what david lynch did with "twin peaks".

thats a great comic, one of the best Alan Moore´s works

and the point of the ending is not that they are not really laughing of the joke but laughing at themselves

the joke was like this: there are 2 guys who are in an asylum, those are batman and the joker, they try to escape the asylum, one of them manage to go through the roofs but the other one is afraid of leaping, the one in the roofs say, dont worry i will light the way so you dont fall, the other one respond, you think im crazy? you will turn off the light before i jump

this can be interpret as the futile eternal fight both batman and joker have, they laugh because they realize they are condemn to repeat this over and over again and none of them will ever leave the asylum cause one is afraid to jump and the other is not willing to go without the other one

also it could mean that batman is insane in same way that the joker is while the only sane character in the book is officer gordon

not bad at all, all the superman parts were awesome but the villain is not very good

Some awesome news for us, She-Hulk fans. Marvel is going to be rereleasing the 2nd She-Hulk series "Sensational She-Hulk" in graphic novel formet, next year.

Not surprising since they are putting too many books out thus canceling all of the ones I read and therefore will not be purchasing Marvel books

(Atlas canceled, Ms. Marvel canceled, Hawkeye and Mockingbird seemingly canceled, Young Allies canceled in the middle of the story and future solicits will be dropped)

How is it ruined? I'm just starting to catch up on the new Avengers series myself, but Avengers is the first Bendis book I've enjoyed in a while and Secret Avengers is a pretty good so far.

I'm just getting back into things I stopped reading after civil war so I'm trying to figure out what the fuck happened in the years I was gone, I've read secret invasion and Siege so I'm getting the picture and I read all the new avengers stuff, If your talking about DC though I have no clue, and if you weren't talking to me sorry

It's not that confusing at all. Avengers is the standard Avengers book. Secret Avengers is basically an espionage/covert operations style book. I haven't started New Avengers yet and I've never cared about Young Avengers. I really doubt they're going to try Mighty Avengers again, seeing as it was basically an attempt at a standard Avengers book.

I like the current Thunderbolts a lot too.

That sucks, that She-Hulks is going to be a mini series now. But I'll still get it, when the graphic novel comes out. Since I pretty much almost caught up on the all the current She-Hulk (I'm getting volume 8 and 9, All New Savage She-Hulk for X-mas as well Avengers: Red Zone and Avengers: The Search of She-Hulk.).

I can't wait for Avengers: The Children Crusade to come out in graphic novel. Since I love the Young Avengers.

I will reccomend reading the Fall of the Hulks arc of both Incredable Hulk and Hulk. Since I only own Hulk (Volume 5: Fall of the Hulk) and the She-Hulks books for the arc. Its a pretty good arc so far.

it's not confusing just too much, there's avengers academy too that's what I forgot, but I just like things simple no 20 something group spin offs like the x-men have

I stopped reading the thunderbolts after baron zemo's group left

It's nowhere near as confusing or convoluted as the X-books. You can actually jump in with no prior knowledge. Can't speak for Avengers Academy as I don't really care for most teen hero books.

Thunderbolts has been pretty good after Civil War, despite the constant status quo changes it seems to have.

So after almost a year of not touching comics, I decided to pick up The Thanos Imperative, which is really really great.

If you enjoyed Annihilation, this comic is fantastic, I haven't read issue 6 yet, but 1-5 were a blast.

It's like they're throwing away money.

! I guess this also means the end of the cosmic stories, which is a damn shame, because they were always more enjoyable than the mainstream Marvel which has terrible inconsistency in writing.

I started reading Invincible last week, currently on Issue 48. Love the characters. I wish the story didn't move around as much. One minute they're talking about Marks dad, and a chapter later they're continuing a story they haven't done since like issue 6. Otherwise it's fantastic, I really love the humor and random parodies and cameo stuff.

Also downloaded the Amazing Spiderman Comics, 5gb and not even up to date. Gonna read those after Schools over.

Bad art? I don't understand those complaints at all. It's not like the artists are Rob Lefield bad…I mean they're no Jim Lee/Alvin Lee but I wouldn't call their stuff bad at all.

Bad character representation? Yes. Bad Art? Not at all.
