This is completely random, but I'm clearing out a ton of my old anime collectibles and listing them on ebay. I just ran into something that I know is very rare among cosplayers but I didn't know if anyone could help me find what it's worth? It's an official Movic Utena Duelist Ring, with box and packaging. I looked on ebay and only found fan-made replicas, and I searched on google and all I found out was that it's really rare. I have a tendency to undervalue my old collectibles, and I really don't want to do that in this instance as I need money to keep my POP collection going.

@Dracmeer: Hm, selling all sorts of things, mostly old. Going to take me weeks to settle it all out. An Unoa BJD w/ loads of faceplates & alt. bust, hundreds and hundreds of plush, sailor moon wands & lockets, Vance Project Pinkys, Furoku and zenin stuff from shojo magazines, THE original naruto jump festa headband from 2002 (not the new dime-a-dozen ones), Nurse angel ririka stuff, Kenshin cold-cast figure from the OVAs I think?, Inuyasha raffle figures, luffy and sanji first run POPs, over 500 manga, 30+ artbooks, whatever other random things I find. Maybe some WCFs that I'm not as fond of from One Piece. Still debating parting with my Sailor Moon star locket. For some reason it means a lot to me. sigh
I need to fund the influx of One Piece merch as well as my couture habit (just found a bag I've been searching for for years, but OUCH it's pricey!). Don't really have the money for all this stuff right now so I have to get rid of the old to bring in the new.

Personally, I'd rather sell off ebay (stupid fees!) than on, so if there's something you want let me know and I can send you pictures and we can work something out ^_^ I'll try to make a list of everything but there is SO MUCH. I have about 75+ tote boxes filled with stuff. I have a blog to throw everything up at, so maybe I'll throw all my plush and collectibles on there before I got ebaying it. I already have my hands full posting my clothes and handbags today I can wait on the collectibles. I'll PM you with some shots of kenshin and the SM stuff.

LiveJournal is an old blogging community, but there's lot's of subcommunity fandoms about with anime/manga being a big part as well. I've seen a lot of people post stuff for sale there, but that requires a big following to your LJ account, something that takes time.
I'd suggest making a Photobucket/Flickr album of the pictures of items you want to sell with a price list, and try to post that out there in any of your social networks along with AP. Some of the pricier things could probably go on Ebay. And if you wanna get rid of a bunch of cheap things, see if there's an anime convention you are planning to go to that also happens to have a swap meet you could sell things.

Selling at a convention swap meet area isn't a real booth space, it's more like floor space, yard-sale style. However, the fees to sell at the swap meet floor are way cheaper than exhibit hall since you aren't an actual vendor with loading dock fees, floor space fees, internet fees to set up credit card transactions, etc. There is the unfortunate downside that you have fewer hours to sell things buy, but usually when you sell cheap just to sell, you can clear up a lot of space.
Just a reminder, remember to bring small bills for change. Hope there's a convention that has one near you.

I am going to the NYC comic con which is also an anime convention this year (think I'm going as Velvet from Odin Sphere… maybe. Boa Hancock is on hold sigh). I wonder if they'll have a swap meet. I think you're right about the rare stuff, no one will have hundreds of dollars in cash to shell out at a convention swap area XD.
I just found out that someone I know via association will have a booth to sell action figures and that I can possibly give him just a few things. Here's hoping! Thanks so much for your help <3

The Metal Gear games are actually quite good, you should try the gamecube game if you can find a cheap copy.
Now that you mention it, I do have the entire Straw Hat crew now once it comes in, well I don't have Chopper,

There weren't any anime guests I was interested in, but for the comic/sci fi portion of the merged convention they're bringing in Christopher Judge, who plays Teal'c in Stargate SG-1 - the most epic guy EVER. I'm thinking of going just to get his autograph. oh mannnToo bad there aren't more SG-1 guests showing up too :|

This. The Metal Gear games have really well written plots. I was turned off at first since I thought it was just another military shooter, but it really isn't. There's also a refreshing hint of sci-fi in it. <3
Rather than judge Snake in Brawl, it's probably better to realize they added him because his character is so well-loved in Metal Gear…;D I read somewhere that guys go gey for Snake. Snake's really a great character. LOL

I don't play smash bros (more of a capcom guy myself with SF series) but have played all MGS games (except the psp ones, can't get into it for some reason)….I think I played MGS 1 to death over the span of 2 weeks in college.....I must have missed all my classes rofl just to get the camoulflage headband and tuxedo costume etc. Such an epic game =O MGS series always reinvents the genre with every sequel imo, Kojima is a genius.

Wondering if there's still a demand for any of the 1st run POPs, the ones before the Neo lines were released. A friend of mine is planning to sell her 1st run Ace POP. There's no box, since it was bought years ago. Figure has been displayed in a well-kept area in a smoke free home. Base and stand are intact. Flame props are attached on the hand. Trying to figure out what a good selling price is, and thought I might as well ask and gauge interest here.

My older sister actually has the game and she loves it too, so I completely understand where everyone's coming from. It's really a personal thing. Not only is it removable, it looks terrible on him and doesn't fit correctly, lol. It's really only meant to hang on the tip of the gun's barrel or in his hand.

Yeah, the order went through but I've heard about people missing pre-orders on HLJ because they didn't request shipment quick enough.
Is there an estimated release date for this month yet?

Amazon.co.jp only ships select itesm out of Japan….figures aren't part of that. My wife is Japanese so my inlaws forwards stuff I buy in Japan for me. These days though I'm slowly switching away from that by buying more things in China....sure you wait a couple weeks longer but the exchange rate is a real killer with the USD.....the RMB from China isn't taking as big of a hit and the USD to RMB has been steady for awhile.

Ahhh if there's no box I'd pay around 50usd for it + shipping if its a reasonable price. If your friend doesn't have anyone to sell it to then im interested in getting it for $65usd including shipping if they are willing to ship it to australia. but im sure you'll be able to find someone who would pay more than that for it to be honest

Play-Asia, Animeha it will be released next month. There are not that many stores who sell the Banpresto ufo prize keychains.
Not the usual places like HLJ or Amiami.I wish they would release some more Roger stuff. The only figure? is that really rare MBH. <_< Lucky there is the resin.
