@Kairouseki:
They seriously need to air Berserk. It'll need some edits but I think they can still air it.
"Standards would butcher it."

The bump was a long time ago, people. Their standards have changed. Look at how gory the AS block is now. Fuck, look at Metalocalypse. Yes, it's crudely animated, but that doesn't change a damn thing.
I still remember once Kim Manning posted on the ASMB saying that she won't take Gunslinger Girl due to fanservice.
….
..........
...........
What fanservice?
Yeah, I only saw like the first 4 episodes of that anime but… there was no fan-service. It was a bunch of properly dressed loli's in gun-training getting yelled at and slapped by adults.
... Haha, I actually made it sound incredibly watchable.

No one gets raped onscreen in Metalocalypse.
too make things worse they are showing re-runs of bleach, which piss me off…hopefully they will air it every day now, like they use to do w/ Inuyasha...maybe they should air Sgt Frog too? Moribito was great but it PG
People still watch dubs?
I thought the American industry died in 2008.
Naruto is still going….on Disney, though. But it's mostly crap like Bakugan and the 4kids interpretation of Pokemon. Bleach is on Adult Swim...at least, last I checked.
I actually only watch dubs for the most part. If it's uncut or at least only slightly edited, I'm watching in a language that I can actually speak.
If it's a good dub, like FMA or Naruto (decent) or Inuyasha. I love Funimation's Dub Piece. Too bad it doesn't air in America anymore.
Guess I'm just easy to please with dubs. There are only three series that I prefer subtitles in. Tekkaman Blade and Card Captor Sakura, even though I had no problem with the dub, missing whole episodes is inexcusable, and Sailor Moon, whose English voice could make my ears bleed and it was also changed quite a bit.
The shows I watch for the most part have good dubs. And I agree with Syan, I'd prefer to understand them rather than read what they're saying.
Nothing anywhere near the Eclipse.

I can't tell if you're trolling, or if your opinions are still hilarious.
@Syan:
I'd like Case Closed to air more on AS. There are like 300+ episodes, right? They only did I think 2 seasons. But I think since it's a mystery show, it didn't do well on re-runs since people knew the answer to the crime already.
It didn't do well period. Also it be messed-up if Conan suffered in re-runs since last I checked stuff like Inuyasha does well enough in reruns to be re-aired on the network over and over and over and over…
@robbybedfart:
Part of it is people like shows where they can miss an episode. For all the dedication a fanbase can give to an ongoing show, casual viewers are king. And comedies… are uhm... comedies, most of the anime tends to be drama. (Crayon Shin Chan was actually getting ratings on par with the comedy stuff, I have no idea why they stopped showing it.)
While a good chunk of it is that no one wants to watch on cable what they could watch almost in it's entirety on their computer or DVD Sets.
The bump was a long time ago, people. Their standards have changed. Look at how gory the AS block is now.
I don't think their standards have changed enough to say actually show some stuff they wouldn't show before in stuff like FullMetal Alchemist, Blue Gender or other series.
They definitely would, AS is just too lazy to change their broadcast episodes. Look at Cowboy Bebop which they edited for it's 2001 airings back when the block first aired. They never bothered to start airing the uncut episodes despite their shows have long since gone well above what Bebop did. For example one of the episodes centering on Jet involved a guy cutting the vain on another guys throat with blood spray. It isn't that graphic to begin with, but especially isn't now that AS has fricken full on bloody decapitations.

Air it everyday?
Keep on dreaming. Anime will stay to late Saturday nights/early Sunday mornings. It's a pain, I know, but AS doesn't care to air it any other time now.
And yeah I don't like it that they're airing Bleach reruns now. AS is the only way I keep up with Bleach. Oh well, it isn't all of that great anyway.
May I ask, why is it always seem like Big O, which I always want to watch, only is showing the last few episodes of the anime (18-20 whatever)? Is it an error on the TV? I want to see it from the beginning.
Here is some news: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2010-01-11/adult-swim-loses-blood-and-death-note-hints-at-3-new-anime
Most people are assuming FMA Brotherhood, Inuyasha Final Act, and Soul Eater.
Me personally would agree with the first two, but I really hope they find something more exciting than Soul Eater. However unlikely that may be.
Saw this last night and was gonna post, but didn't feel like it. Also, here's another bump that someone posted:
Venture Bros 4.5: August 22
Show We Can't Talk About: Saturday, February 6th
ATHF 9: February 7
Tim & Eric 5: February 28
Freaknik: March 21
Boondocks 3: March 28
Bleach 7-8: April 3
Children's Hospital: May 2
Cheyenne Cinnamon: May 9
Check It Out: May 16
Squids 5: May 16
Frankenhole: June 27
Delocated 2: July 11
Children's Hospital (listed twice?): July 11
Metal Season 4: August 22
Other Show We Can't Talk About: Saturday, September 25
Mongo Wrestling Alliance: October 10
Tight Bros: October 10
Robot Chicken 5: November 7
Venture Season Finale: December 5
We should be seeing the next new anime(s) next month. Bad news is we gotta wait till late August to get the second half of Venture Bros. Even worse news is Tim and fuckin' Eric got renewed… goddammit...

You want something more exciting than SE and you're ok with Inu-drags a ton-yasha? :wassat:

No, I've just accepted that Inuyasha is inevitable. It has been one of Adult Swim's most profitable anime from what I've seen.
Well, I'll be looking forward to the new anime and the new season of ATHF. Also good to know that they're gonna continue Bleach (not that that there was much doubt)
There was sometime back, what was it, Derek Stephen Prince (I think that's his name, Ishida's voice actor) saying Adult Swim wasn't picking it back up after the Bount arc?
Its not a AS cartoon series..but the new FX animated show Archer looks very familiar to one of the old shows that was on Adult Swim
That's cause it is. Archer is made by the same people who made Frisky Dingo, on top of that Archer is being voiced by H. Jon Benjamin who's like, one of AS's big voice actors. I don't understand why FX got it and not AS, interestingly AS is promoting it on FX so I guess they're owned by the same people?
Oh, Frisky Dingo is back Mon-Thurs too.
Frisky Dingo is back with season 3 or re-runs? That show's great.
Reruns .

The production company that made Frisky Dingo and Sealab actually went under because of a rather thorough screw job they got from Adult Swim. :/
So, the crew picked up the pieces and moved on to another network.
Oh… So a Sealab revival and/or Frisky Dingo season 3 isn't going to happen.
Oh, Archer's excellent btw. Watch it.

DAMN IT! I was really wanting to see how the storyline with Killface's mom would work out. S2 ended with a total cliffhanger…
Sealab I didn't expect to ever come back since the VA for the Captain died, right? That guy made the show.
Have to check out Archer.

Details or further explanation would be nice?

YES. I was going to make an Archer thread, though I didn't know how many other people caught the premier. I really hope it lasts because its entrance into the comedic world was fantastic. "Do you want ants on the floor? Because that's how you get ants."
@Syan:

NO! That can't be true, that's impossible! I'm sad here.

Where have you been? Yes, sad but true, Harry Goz died in 2003 during Sealab's run.

In the dark, and happily so.
You don't know true darkness, Buuhan1.
Sorry I had to sadden your day, Buuhan. That guy was seriously awesome and hilarious.
Just saw the (I believe) first two episodes of Archer. That was great! "Just the tip!"
Yep, that was the first two. I'm actually surprised what content FX allows.
Yes, sad but true, Harry Goz died in 2003 during Sealab's run.
The show never recovered for me. Murphey was a key character, Tornado was so-so.
9 years later and having been seen practically by everyone, Cowboy Bebop is kicking ass in reruns. Its 3am airing last week received 390,000 viewers, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood's premiere that same night received 349,000 viewers. Not far behind it was… Cowboy Bebop at 2:30.
It's Cowboy motherfuckin' Bebop. That's how it rolls.
Ah, Cowboy Bebop. You know, anime fan or not, that's just something everyone should see. It's right up there with Studio Ghibli films.
(Well okay, it's not quite as good as Ghibli films, but it's still iconic and its something almost everyone can enjoy).
It is. I don't think I've ever completely watched it a second time. I hope we get a Blu-ray release of the series.
Bebop's the best fuggin' thing ever broadcast on a television. And now that we have that firmly established, I'm curious if anyone's seen the ad for the site where you can vote on a bunch of pilots, and the winner gets picked up for a show on AS, or something like that. I can't remember what the website was…
alright people if you dont mind id like to start posting the ratings for saterday each week so you guys know why not much anime is on adult swim anymore. plus no one seems to know about the ratings so now youll know.

That's kinda sad that Cowboy Bebop is beating out FMA and Kekkaishi. Not because I think they deserved to be watched more, but because AS's new material that should supposedly be bringing in viewers is losing to a 2:30 AM time slot.

oh dude this is nothing. kekkaishis only been in the top 3 one time in its entire run so far and that was episode 2 and brotherhood has only been on the top 3 about half the time its been on. and most of the top 3's this year have just been the boondocks and king of the hill. here il post some examples to show you what i mean.
