Why does a Japanese Shinigami become a Christan angel?
Felch Discussion Part 3

-
Butterfly wings or not he's still an angel. His godhood is nearly complete imo.
Tom: "Aizen, what are you doing?"
Aizen: "Completing my path to godhood."
Tom: "You're strapping cardboard onto your back."
Aizen: "Are you sure?"
Tom: "You know what? Forget it. You're dead to me."
Aizen: "When were you under the delusion that I was ever alive?"
Tom: "Hate you, too." -
I'll take it back if you disassociate yourself with FOX News and the one hundred and fifty Republicans who voted no on supporting medical aid for 9/11 rescue workers.

Leave out RedEye, and you've got yourself a deal. I hate TV news in general.

Let's see. This is human anatomy. And I don't fail in anatomy. Not after all those years studying.

That's right, people. Aizen's wings come from his ass.

Do you happen to have the Tousen one? The stickman silhouette which displays the freakishly long legs he gets once he puts on the mask?

I've no idea what RedEye is, but the rest is a good stance.

maybe a larger butterfly is stuck back there?

That is all left for you to say after running out of reasons to argue.

I think they ran out of reasons to argue imo. They're doing nothing now but mocking Aizen and Bleach and it's all they can do. I proved them wrong too about Aizen being an butterfly, so far nobody has came up with an good argument against my claims.
-
@Fire Fist:
You know, if you stare at it long enough, Aizen kinda looks like a Blue Waffle.
What? A Waffle? I don't see it AT ALL. :wassat:

Yes, it is just your opinion. Everyone's already shown their proof. Mixed in with the fact that Christian beliefs have never played a part in Bleach before, basically leaves you with no room to stand on. Now you're just going, "lalalalalala not listening!"
And we enjoy mocking Aizen because he's easy to mock.
-
Wow, it has been a day and Zoom is still trolling this thread… That's dedication.
-
"Livin' with Aizen" has to get on TV. We should call all possible networks to get it on the air.
If that fails, we could produce the most awesome webcomic ever. -

How about hell? And no I'm not talking about the new bleach movie coming out that features hell. Hell does actually exist in bleach. Hell seems to be an christian belief that's in bleach… There's also the cross on his chest too. You seem to be ignoring that cross on his chest. It signals Aizen's rebirth into an angel since he willed himself to live.
And instead of mocking Aizen you should mock Blackbeard instead since he's an cowardly sissy who gets his own subordinates to do his own dirty work when he's getting his ass beat.
-
Did you just inadvertently imply Hell only exists in Christianity?
Are you that fucking retarded?
Read your posts before you make them, genius.

Hell's been around in multiple cultures. Not called Hell, per se, but the idea behind it. Greek, Norse, Chinese, and I'm sure Japanese cultures all have an afterlife in which wrongdoers are punished.

Google Blue Waffle and click "I'm feeling lucky". It's not what you think it is.

Blackbeard doesn't experience fear. Nor does Aizen. The difference though is that Blackbeard has character. Aizen has no reason to be the way he is.

you also said yourself that he's a butterfly
@Zoom:It's 6 wings. BASIC BUTTERFLY(<- lookie here) STRUCTURE.The lower wings are all just the other halves of the upper wings

No… I never said that. I'll admit it may not be based off the Christian hell because there's multiple religions where hell exist... But, there is Chad that has an armored arm named Brazo Izquierda del Diablo which means left arm of the devil(which is an christian belief) so I guess that's one christian belief that's in Bleach. And you still haven't said anything about the cross on Divine Aizen's chest...

Have you proven them wrong about Aizen being literally the most retarded shonen creation ever made?
Or that Bleach is a awful comic enjoyed only by the very bored and the very dumb? -

It's at the point where he's repeating himself over and over again. It's not fucking funny anymore.
But to answer the idiot: do you know what a celtic cross is? A greek cross? Sun cross? Probably not, because these are things closer to the shape on Aizen's chest than the crucifix. Fuck, there's even a 'Quincy cross' in this manga, and the only reason for that is because GERMAN. And how would a Christian cross add to him being a Seraphim? Because it's Christian? It'd be completely stupid to add an almost entirely unrelated New Testament icon to a predominantly Old Testament figure, two things which are vastly different in intent and mood. That is not how good symbolism works, and you need an iron to the knees for thinking otherwise, because you're probably the kind of person who thinks the Christian references in NGE were somehow 'deep' and 'incredible'.
-
lol, RBoar do I know you better by another name?
-
Probably not, no.
-
I think you actualy die in Budhist hell , then you reincarnate as some lowly creature aparently .
-
Buddhism doesn't have afterlives aside from Nirvana so far as I know.
-
@JERK:

Buddhism believe in Saṃsāra, that after you die you will reincarnate. Your soul will transfer into a pregnant woman's worm and start a new life. Basically, if you do bad things you will be punished in Hell (for a certain amount of time) or reincarnate into lower animals. Animal can reincarnate into human too. Nirvana is a realm that you can only enter once you reach super enlightenment.
I was a Buddhist, and spent an insane amount of time to study it, until I found it logically wrong. That took a lot of time to realize. After all I found that reaching Nirvana is not the purpose of life.
-
There is Naraka, but while it might make you think of one, it's not an actual Hell equivalent.
-
Did you guys read Naruto? There are six realms in the desire realm (it is actually path, but translated as realm, for the meaning):
1.1 God Realm (Blissful State)
1.2 Asura Realm
1.3 Human Realm
1.4 Animal Realm
1.5 Preta Realm
1.6 Hell Realm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desire_realm
You life will be in one of those realms. After you die you may move to another relam, based your daily deeds. That is as simplified as possible.LOL, I once planned to become a Buddhist monk.
-
The thing that always bugged me about Buddhism right off the bat was that whole thing about eliminating desire. Isn't wanting to get rid of desire in and of itself a desire? And isn't wanting to achieve Nirvana a desire?
Anyway, I always a fan of the whole reincarnation idea. To me it sounds more preferable than being stuck in a plane of neverending bliss or pain for eternity or just going into nothingness (or living in some slum from the 18th century which is even worse than the life I had on earth).
-
It can be worse.
[hide]You could always go to the Sumerian afterlife, where you're a shade who wanders the grey wastes, and does nothing but eat dust.[/hide]

[hide]Soooo…..for the average Sumerian it's actually not that much different from real life.
EDIT: Nevermind, I don't know what I'm talking about. For some reason I thought Sumer was an African nation. :P[/hide]

-If we stop wanting altogether, we would never achieve anything.
-True. But what the Buddha says is that when our desires, our craving, our constant discontent with what we have and our continual longing for more and more does cause us suffering, then we should stop doing it. He asks us to make a difference between what we need and what we want and to strive for our needs and modify our wants. He tells us that our needs can be fulfilled but that our wants are endless - a bottomless pit. There are needs that are essential, fundamental and can be obtained and this we should work towards. Desires beyond this should be gradually lessened. After all, what is the purpose of life? To get or be content and happy.

Ah, thank you. I figured it was something like that. Of course, most of my knowledge about Buddhism comes from my high school history classes and, of course, we didn't go into great detail about it.

Lol, obvious troll is obvious. Perfect grammar in every post except for that constantly used phrasing? Stop feeding the troll guys, then maybe he'll flutter away, like an Aizen-butterfly.

Maybe then he'll come across The City, and turn to sidekick shenanigans alongside an blue-suited hero.

If you discuss more, the Buddhism's answer may not be the ultimate answer of life. But this really isn't the thread for it. LOL, I am thinking about whether or not to open a thread discussing philosophy. However that seems to be something inappropriate in a forum dedicated to a comic book.

Eh, don't worry about it. I'm not really that interested in it, and if I do become interested I can always do research. It was just an offhand question I had always had. As for the philosophy thread, well, we do have a politics thread, so it may not be too inappropriate (we may even already have a philosophy thread).
But yes, we can drop this now.

Honestly after the last few pages of this, I would love to have Mr. Crocker's butterfly net about now.
-
Everyone is contributing in the Religious affairs, It is time for me to contribute in the Biological affairs.
Every insect has the design to have 4 wings, There are exceptions
Insects by definition have:
- A head, a torso and an abdomen.
- 6 legs conected to the torso
- 4 wings conected to the torso
Every insect that you belive that has no wings, or less than 4:
- Ants: Just the queens (and impregnating males) have them
- Flys: They have the back wings atrophiated, they produce the buzzing sound
- Beetles: The front wings evolved into a hard shell to protect the back wings
- Butterflys: The front wings and back wings have the same pattern to be used better in their style of flying, as a camouflage, as aparenting being a large predator, and to atract a member of the oposite sex.
So, Aizen is suposed to have 12 wings now. Comming out of his ass.
-
I was walking outside the other day and I saw a white butterfly.
I nearly shat myself as I lost control of my body.

That is what the evidence is showing us. And the evidence doesn't lie.

You have probably never heard of "hungry ghosts" or other very unpleasant reincarnation varieties . As someone who has read the Tibetan Book of the dead , I can tell you that their idea of "temporary" punishment extends to thousands upon thousands upon further thousands of years of endless , and repetitve yet invcreasing , agony .
It can be worse.

The scary thing that , seeing that is the oldest recorded religion , it has the closest chance of being right .
Thank god I'm an atheist .
