It was strange, seeing a more aggressive Velma, but I really didn't mind it. I like that there's gonna be a story arc.
Cartoon Network

Was going to say something here but I figured to start a Scooby thread and keep this for some other CN shows if you guys don't mind:
-
I know this is probly already been said MANY times but cartoonnetwork sucks garbage. i mean who lets go of one piece and dragon ball z?!

At least the animes live on.

Even though Naruto sucks, you have to admit that canceling it was a stupid decision on CN's part.
"Hey, this show's got a ton of fans and has hundreds of people watching our channel every week and making us money!!!!! Let's throw it in the can."
-
CN is typically like that. Poor poor Magas XLR.
-
IGN has a short clip of Sym-Bionic Titan.

These same people were behind the briliant decition to not advertise the PPG movie anywhere else but on their channel .

hJP6RNoiZhQ .

CG Looney Tunes looks meh. Also, did Daffy get recasted or something, because that doesn't really sound like him.
I might be willing to give this a chance but right now it doesn't look so good.
-
Reminded me of a cheap Ice Age.
-
hey people witch anime do you think cartoonnetwork should pick up?

soul eater forever, other anime never

Legend of the Galactic Heroes.
I think and truly believe our children are ready to experience the thrilling tales of demonstrated game theory in the context of space politics and war.
-
soul eater forever, other anime never
come on be reasonable. soul eater wouldent work on cartoonnetwork with all the blood.
-
The latest episide of Hagaren that they aired featured a severed arm tied to a dog.
I think they'd be able to handle Soul Eater.

YES PLEASE.

I'm sorry, the average CN watcher is too thick to appreciate LOTGH.
Afterall, Gundam Wing was what popularized Gundam in the West, and many Wing fans still dislike UC and FC because of it.
I don't think any of those fans saw SEED though.
-
Gundam Seed is basically everything that was awful about Wing, but transmogrified into some sort of deplorable, atrocious monster (whereas Wing was just your lazy eyed, hideous cousin that you just ignore so you can hang out with his cool brother/your best pal, Turn A).
So I think those fans may have enjoyed it. I'm not sure. I try to stay away from that side of the Gundam fandom.

I thought part of that was to blame on the dated looking visuals.

It's simple: TV execs are imbeciles trying to cater to everyone, whether they be broadcast or cable. Besides, with people picking and choosing what to watch, it's not like too much of this matters to a lot of people anymore.
-
You are right…..

@Tamaki:

He knows that, he's just answering your question as to what Hagaren is.

i dont feel like reading the whole articale so could someone explain to me what it pretty much says?

The gist: instead of going for niches, most cable networks are going for "Markets", aiming for certain types of people instead of having certain people come to them with their niche content. All in all, it screws up the original concept but TV types don't care because it gets them ratings.

well to bad for cartoonnetwork its not working for them.
-
Yeah!
It really isnt working for Cartoon Network. Nicktoons kinda succeeded cuz they got the power rangers but their biggest hits are animated.
-
I miss the Teen Titans :(
-

So then why are Power Rangers (a live action property, mind you) on Nicktoons? The only reason why it's on Nicktoons is simple: that network is fast becoming "Paramount Kids Male", just like the original Nickelodeon is now "Paramount Kids Female…with Spongebob".
And everyone laughed when Fox had that "Boys" and "Girls" networks.
-
I miss the Teen Titans :(
We all do.
Though I must say I am still very, very pissed off that "Things Change" was the last episode of the series. That's just not the type of episode you end a series on.
I know they did those two tv movies afterward, but it's not the same…..
-
I agree. "Things change" was a bad way to end the series. I thought it would be continued but it never was….
-
-
There was two tv movies?
I always regretted not catching TT when it was first being released. It was a show I refused to like because of the silly japan stuff (not that I could watch it at home anyway). Now that I have my own place, I have all the seasons on DVD (except for the last one which i guess I'm saving for a rainy day). I fucking loved trigon
I have a faint hope that it may return someday, or some kind of sequel series.
-
I thought there was only one movie. Trouble in Tokyo. What was the other one?
-
Trouble in Tokyo was the only DTV Teen Titans movie. There was talk of another one, but it never happened, which has been chalked up to lack of success for Trouble in Tokyo (which itself could be blamed on CN's poor marketing of it), some sort of deal made so that other Timmverse films would be made, and who knows what all else. There's that on-again, off-again Judas Contract movie, but it wasn't going to have the same artstyle as the series. That probably contributed to the lack of interest that's currently shelved that particular project.
-
Nevermind, it was put on hold. =/
"The_Judas_Contract" was put on hold because "there may not be enough of an audience."
Sorry, I was just scanning a list of episodes earlier and saw it listed, didn't even realize I hadn't seen it.
EDIT: UBIQ BEAT ME TO IT.
-

It's on both, actually. Reruns on Nicktoons and new episodes on Nickelodeon.
-
i think cartoonnetwork should show fruists basket.
-
I thought they'd already taken care of that judas stuff in season 2
-
I thought they'd already taken care of that judas stuff in season 2
They did, but then they brought Terra back in the Series Finale and left that open and never answered why she didn't have memory of Beast Boy or why she was even alive in the first place. It was a really strange (I don't want to say "bad", but…) way to end the series.
-
It got the Hey Arnold ending, lol
-
I thought they'd already taken care of that judas stuff in season 2
The film would have been made using Timmverse style artwork and would have been more serious in tone overall. Again, that was probably a contributing factor to the lack of interest in it; the same material had already been done (a fairly solid effort at that) and the idea of different art/cast just didn't appeal to fans of the series.
It got the Hey Arnold ending, lol
Things Change was quite possibly one of the most baffling and bleak final episodes for any children's show ever especially coming after Titans Together and its final scene, which seemed designed to be a series finale.
-
I think the whole purpose of "Things Change" was to just give some resolution to Terra. Honestly, the series should have ended with "Titans Together". (then again most of the 5th season was mostly not up to snuff outside "Go!" and the usage of some Titans who turned out to be cool and should have been used in story proper)
