@bunshindattebayo:
Every generic shooter with space marine characters.
Lol you again.
In that case, I hate every generic JRPG with girl-like boy heroes
(obviously only kidding, and pretty much feeding the troll)

From memory, I think psx was a concept name that everyone just kept on using once it came out. It was the magazines that really drove the name back in the day, at least in the uk.
They didn't like using "playstation" much in the beginning as it sounded like a baby's toy.
Then when they brought out the psOne revision, nobody wanted to call it that. I never really stopped referring to it as "psx".
Mass Effect 2 "a wannabe RPG"
L4D
16 Chars of Bull
I think only people that were modding Playstations back in the day and importing stuff started adopting the name.
Ahhhh the good ol' days! Using a toothpick and the swap method on PS1's to play DBZ Legends was the shiiiiit!
How about that game "Irritating Stick"….you can only imagine the epicness of failure there.
I hate every Mortal Kombat after 3 Ultimate....including MK4 for N64......
L4D
16 Chars of Bull
You sir…...............are buggin'

FUCK YES!!!
DBZ LEGENDS SON!!!
Mass Effect 2 "a wannabe RPG"
Wanna be RPG and Bioware don't mesh together sir.
Personal opinion is fine and all… but calling it "wanna be" is just silly.
That's like me saying Tekken is a "WANNA BE fighting game" just cuz I like SF more.
I Hate Halo With A Passion its such a boring game. I Also Don't like Mario Party 8 and resident Evil 5 Those Games To Me Feel A Little Bit…...... Strange

Mario Party in general is something I dislike.
Modern Warfare 2….Im just so bored. I thought it could have a fun single player, which it did to an extent but im just done with it completely, i hop on 1 match and bam, im done.

Lol just doing this so you'd all expect me to respond to this or something..
sigh
The people sayin they hate Halo aren't making a good point as to why other than "LOL BORING"
Guys… it's perfectly acceptable to say something like "Counter Strike is a much better game."
Or "Unreal 2004 Multiplayer was more solid"
Hell even Xbox controllers for shooters feel clunky to me will do it...
^ Is basically my opinion about Halo...
BUT... the story and music ARE amazing.
Yay, someone else responded for me
Well said, BTW.

We used a coil from something, worked perfect. Spent whole days vegging out of Legends.
Not that I hate Modern Warfare 2, I just never got into it.
Modern Warfare 2 looked cool, but it got old really fast. I don't really know why, other than it has nothing to really seperate it from the pack, besides looking pretty. Honestly, I can pick four Wii games off the top of my head with more enticing gameplay. (Super Mario Galaxy 2, Red Steel 2, Legend of Zelda, MadWorld)
sigh

Or they could just find it really really boring? I remember not being impressed with anything from the first one except the Buggy in Multiplayer. Of course I had Perfect Dark and Metroid Prime then so.
Mario Party 1 was a pretty awesome game I thought. Esecially the Mini Game island. Slot Car Derby 2 shudder
Seemed to go downhill afterwards when Nintendo started releasing it every year. I think I bought 4 and 8 just to see how they were getting on and not being very impressed with them either.
here's my problem with the LOL BORING predicament.
If Halo bores you…that implies you don't like First Person Shooters at ALL.
Cuz I hate Halo... but I like first person shooters... ergo my dilemma.
But to sit and play a game of a genre you already find boring...
That's just silly.
Unless you actually like FPS' and somehow find Halo Multiplayer Boring... in which case.
ADD is a serious ailment and treatment is available.
(Once again... I'm actually a Halo "Hater" if you will)

Any FPS fan who finds Halo MP boring is pretty much fucking weird.. It's Halo's strongest point and some of the most fun MP available on consoles, even for people who don't like FPS (custom games and shit where you don't have to shoot but you do diff shit like the game type zombies, or the game type Grifball etc.
Anyway, another game that a lot of people seem to love and I just freaking hate is MW2. Then again, the game does get a lot of hate on many gaming sites, mostly for being a broken ass piece of bug and glitch filled, camper-infested piece of shit.

If I play mutiplayer Halo ONLINE with my friends I love the game to death (four people going thru campaign mode is badassery).
Otherwise it's plain shit to me (cept for the music and story in single player)
That's how I perceive Halo as a whole.
Shit… if Halo was a PC Franchise I'd probably be way more open to it.

I'm indifferent to MW2…
But I agree that being broken and glitch filled doesn't help matters.
Another pet peeve of me about Halo is that considering the Hardware it's running on... it seems a bit... rough?
When compared to most of the other shooters in 360 that is.
The thing is, Halo is the 360's only exclusive FPS series, and you can't compare it to GeoW, a third-person shooter. Reach looks pretty good, not the best, but it looks good enough, and it's a prime example of gameplay over graphics game on an HD console. I played the BETA, and while it had a lot of issues, glitches and was pretty much broken, it has potential to be one of the best MP experiences of all time, far surpassing Halo 3. It's NOT a rehash of Halo3, and it's not an ODST game (ODST was just a medicore expansion sold as a full game because of MS's greediness with the same game engine as Halo 3, Reach is not the same case.)
I will say this… Halo Reach intrigues me.
But it's not the poly count or textures that bug me much ZeArmy...
It's the framerate.
As a person who's played FPS MOSTLY on PC... I'm accustomed to my framerate being as smooth good as possible which is my only REAL gripe at Halo as a whole.
For something running on such a good piece of hardware (Halo 1 and 2 included... since Ninja Gaiden proved what the console was capable of when it came to frame rates) it's a bit dissappointing... even if they chose said framerate speed for design's sake.

Disregarding the fact that 3 of those titles you mentioned aren't even in the same genre as MW2 how in the hell does Red Steel 2 have more enticing gameplay than MW2?

And the fact that Bad Company 2 caused everybody who may or may not have hated the game beforehand to turn around and spite it after the fact.
Lol, I sold MW2 for credit towards my purchase of BC2. It's a great game, much better than MW2 imo. Obviously it didn't sell as much, unfortunately.

Yeah, that was just lacking in common sense. Besides, I played Madworld, and even though I hated MW2, it shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as SMG 2. The game was fun for a while but was extremely repetitive and got old quick, and Twilight Princess was one of the worse Zelda games IMO. I'm a much bigger fan of MM and WW.
It didn't have MW2's hype so that definitely played a factor.
Pretty much every single racing/sport game out there. Also; Final Fantasy VII.
You know, I just can't get into racing games either. I keep buying them, expecting them to be awesome, and they are for the first week or so but I quickly lose interest. Burnout used to be fun but it quickly got boring as well.

Why would you buy something you know you won't like?
You got that much money brah?
Cuz if so…send some to Fort Collins, Colorado :V
Well, yeah, I like Mario Kart, but that's pretty much the only racing game I like. The last racing game I bought was DiRT, which was actually pretty cool but still it suffered from the above. And that buying isn't constant, it takes place over many, many years. Although I do have quite a bit of money :ninja: .
Mario Kart is the only racing game I buy into, because it makes for a fun multiplayer (Mario Kart 64 dominated my senior class until we got SSB).
@Kairouseki:
I think it's illegal to send money through the mail.
Money Orders…
:ninja:
-As for me, All Need For Speed serie.. just cant find myself having fun playing it
-and any soccer game, as someone said in the first pages
And I AM a FPS fan, AND didn't like HALO too.. maybe something is wrong with me, i don't know. UNREAL is a nice FPS DeathMach
-Gta… just ok for me
well, until today my favourite race game is ROCK'N ROLL RACING:wub:
The Games Everybody Hates but you Love thread was better
And I didn't expect to see someone revive this thread
Did I say Kingdom Hearts 2 in this topic? I think I did.
Idk. A lot of people rip on games having TOO many cinematic cut scenes and want more hack and slash content. But seeing how I spent my time as a youth reading books rather then continually conducting trite menial tasks I often find myself victim of well thought out stories.
If you want to make the game 75% cut scenes I say bring it on! As long as its interesting. But even then that statement of 75% cut scenes is a false overstatement. Most any game that is scrutinized to the point of being called 75% cut scenes normally only has 30% cut scenes at most. Even FF games only had about 10% worth of play time devoted to cut scenes. (Until after FF-X – When Square-Enix took the genre over from the creator) The rest was traversing the map or side questing.
So for me. Any game that is completely devoid of any well thought out story is on my hate list with a few exceptions for games that actually bring people together under a social setting.
IE -- Family bowling on Wii ; Drinking games (Super Smash Bro "Horse Racing")
