Lol. True. I'll admit I understand why so many hate what happened in OMD, but I'll also admit that it is the only reason I started reading Spider-Man again.
I just like Gwen Stacy, Felicia Hardy, Betty Brant, Liz Allen (and now Norah Winters, Michele Gonzalez, and Carlie Cooper) a LOT more than MJ.
I went to Iowa City yesterday, and I went to the Comic store that they had downtown, since my friend knew where it was. Since he used to live up there when he went to college there.
And damn, I almost had a breakdown, since I saw ton of the books that I wanted to read and stuff and plus it was my first time in a comic book store. But I end up picking up the 7th volume of She-Hulk when I was there. Since I was getting the 6th volume for my brithday from my mom.
Congratulations Sano, welcome to the group of people who visit comic shops lol.
My friend said he felt naked when we were in a club partying last night. None of us were wearing our Green Lantern Rings. There was a distinct lack of the symbol of my hope and illpower, my friend's greed and my best friend's wrath :p.
It just sucks that I don't go to Iowa City that much. Since pretty much an 1 hour and 30 minutes to Two hours drive to there. But I do want to go there more often If I don't want to order my books online off of Amazon, Overstock, and Barnes and Noble.
And my first year of collecting comics (I only get them in the graphic novels way) is about to end on May 6th on my brithday. If inculde what I got for my brithday, I got 18 books. Which isn't bad in my opinion.

its where you get comics books for free and theres many selections available depending on what you local shop will carry
my local store has been giving out bookmarks of Iron man to promote the day

Too bad the "closest" comic store here is like 4 miles away, too much for walking X_x. Been reading some Thor (Vol. 1), Flash (Wonderland), and finished reading Captain America's omnibus, great reads btw.
I got everything . 1 copy of each book ..good thing too since right at opening time the comics were disappering fast.

Well my mom let me have my brithday presents early. So I got my copy of She-Hulk Volume 6. Now I can read both She-Hulk Volume 6 and 7 with no problems.

What does A mean in the Marvel rating system? Is it really anyone? I finished the rest of American Son the other day and it doesnt look like it because it was way to violent (I think I also saw a part where bullseye cut of the head of a rat w/) of course there is also the blood
A is kind of like a PG rating. I agree that it IS misleading, though.
The books that are fine for kids to read are rated "All Ages." American Son (and the recent Mysterio arc) really seemed to push the A rating, though.
Most of the other main character books (Ms Marvel, Captain America, mostly) that I read are rated T+, for Teens and up. Comics recently are more gruesome for whatever reason. The All Ages books have a more wholesome feel at least.
Actually, I have some issues that are normally All Ages, but get labeled 9+ on certain issues
I just bought the set of 9 GL rings from midtown Comics today, FACK YEAH! The blackest night arc rocks.
Finshed reading Volumes 6 and 7 of She-Hulk. Damn all I can said for Jen being disbarred from being a lawyer and now she is a bounty hunter. I read reviews of Volume 6 and 7 that said they were terrible. But I enjoued reading both volumes. I really like Peter David's run of She-Hulk so far. So I can't wait to read more. I will say this now, I really loved Dan Slott's run of She-Hulk. Since it blends in the comdey and action prefectly.
Now I just need to get Volumes 8 and 9. And then I'll be done with the current She-Hulk. And I'll probably work on getting the All New Savage She-Hulk book and Fall of the Hulks: THe Savage She-Hulks, even I haven't read any of the Dark Reign/Seige arc books or Fall of the Hulks Books. But I'm planning to read them sooner or later.

Johns is good for making crappy characters big bads, and turning a footnote of something into a whole event. Aside from that though he's mostly good for pulpy, action fests in the same sort of vein as Bleach. Yes I compare Geoff Johns to Bleach, bring it fanboys XD Btw I own a fair amount of Bleach and I have all of Blackest Night and GL: Rebirth

The end of Siege and Dark Avengers was enjoyable.
Dark Avengers and New Avengers Finale were pretty good

Read Fallen Sun and you will change your mind because THAT is one of the worst comics ever.
Besides "remembering" a bunch of things that didn't happen we are let on that Rogue lost her viriginity to Bob (WTF?!) and DAREDEVIL is at the funeral. Also, dialogue is off and its just all around weird since the heroes didn't really like Sentry all that much but they are portrayed here as if Sentry was really Captain Marvel.
Loki getting sacrificed probably won't run long. Characters never really die at Marvel and DC, the home of retcon!

Fables turned me off way back when.. it was a great series, but then it got a little too into itself with the fanbase.

Which was what exactly? To create a god-like superhero that would be the equivalent of DC's Superman? I never read ANYWHERE in ANY of the series he appeared in that people generally cared about or thought the Sentry was a great guy.
Original creator comes back, however, writes a one-shot stating the exact opposite and adds weirdness to it.
