You asked for it! This was actually kinda fun to do. I didn't bother with the real collection ace, styling, and a few others because they REALLY did not look like him. I still hold my opinion that the Flex Action and Alabasta MBH look the most like him. I think Grand Pirates looks pretty close to the way he looks in the manga currently. Interesting how the eyes are all so different, too. O_o

Wow, after seeing your comparison, i finally realise how POP look so different from the actual Ace :blink: But who cares, lol he is big, wear exactly what Ace wear and comes along with his flame ^.^

Wow…WCF Buggy weighs a lot more than Luffy and Shanks due to his pirate coat being so big. Casting all that plastic for the fur trim was a lot. In comparison, Luffy barely weighs anything.

Yup, I agree with you completely. The award for best facial sculpt definitely belongs to the Flex Alabasta Ace so far. I still really must get both MBH Aces…gah. ;-; Whyyy must they be so rareee. And wow, DBZxOP Ace is surprisingly good. o _o I didn't know the face sculpt was that good, I've been putting off getting that one in favor of some others. I wants. Hnnn.

Can't wait for 26 cm Banpresto Ace photos!

The Ace POP looks ogre-ish as usual. It's the only Ace I'm not going to get. And that says quite a lot. =w= heh;

Yea, I will, of course! I'm still sad he doesn't have the Y20,000 price tag, I was looking forward to the Ace of all Aces, super HQ cold-cast whatever else I can imagine. Maybe HotToys will make an Ace LOL.

@rona: When I put them side by side, I was surprised to see how much MBH ace and Flex ace looked so similar. And ditto about the DBZ ace. I was pleasantly surprised, it blows the real collection and the stylings out of the water in that respect. I feel like they tried to make ace too handsome later on. When he first came on the scene he looked just like that flex one, with the long sideways grin, smattering of freckles and lazy eyes. I liked him better then, aesthetically speaking ^_^ I never really felt he was a super handsome guy shrug

I agree. While I like how streamlined Oda's artwork has become, I kinda miss the old Aceface. It was distinctively Ace. He was kinda handsome in the rough kinda way - watermelon slice shaped eyes instead of the narrow ovally eyes Oda draws him with now, and the rounded chin. Now he's a little more delicate and young looking. I suppose that fits the more raw, sensitive emotions he's depicted recently, though. Ace's face is a legacy in itself \o/

Lmao xD Yeah, I thought the same thing when I saw that file all over YJ. Never felt any need to get it at all. It's much in the same vein as my "Ace POP has Shrek face, do not want pls" mentality. I love Crocodile, but not Crocodile-cosplaying-Ace(?). .-.

I wish I knew people who'd want them, too. x_x I mean, I know OP fans, but none of them collect much OP stuff so they'd probably decline. And it would be weird to ask, none of them really frequent this forum…baww. It's such a pity, I think the little guys are adorable.

That's an awful lot of Aces up there, I still think either the GLM Ace or the WCF Ace look the best. The one you guys all like for some reason just look goofy and weird to me xD

That's what I was thinking for my niece!! Bathtub, but there's also a stream in her back yard mwahaha plus summer swimming pool action (though I suspect if we wanted to be true to the OP story a lot of those guys would be sinking FAST)

We're paying her 8.25 USD per set first because the whole box is 99.90 dollars and she can't afford to buy it herself. None of us really can, actually. And the whole box has 12 sets of 5 figures each, so we wouldn't be able to use them all anyway. That's why Arei's paying to have them sent to her house, and after that we'll just pay maybe for cheap first class shipping so she'll send them to us. 8>

Everyone who is buying a set is giving me their share ($8.25) for their set then I will have the box shipped to my house then send everyone their set. Right now you just have to pay me for the set, when it comes time to ship then I'll ask everyone for their shipping payment.

LOL, now I feel ripped off, I remember buying it from a specialty shop along with this awesome Luffy figure for like half of my soul. I don't think I could put it on ebay though, I already owe $45 in fees for this month alone. I'm putting my custom Ace plush up tomorrow and really don't think it would be worth paying the fees on something that probably would only sell for a few bucks.

So looking at the WCFs even closer, I'm really liking the small details they add. Shanks actually has 3 nicks in his white shirt for button holes, with really surprised me. There were a few complaints before about the stand assists and how they look ugly. Well, mine are clear, so I have no problems with the stand assists and the pegs. My only complaint is that Buggy is too muscularly built. His chest and shoulders are really wide compared to Shanks and Luffy, when he should be similar. Of course, it's like that to hold his flashy orange pirate coat, so it'll be a complaint that goes away in short notice.

For those on the fence about the recent WCFs, I recommend them. But be forewarned for your wallets. They will be raped. If I weren't collecting POPs as well, I'd sorely be tempted to get all of these.

I tried to stay sensible with them so I have only ordered Luffy. However, I have a feeling that once he arrives and I fall in love with him, I'll need to get Ace, Dragon and Garp. And thats doubly expensive >_<

I think Garp will be the most expensive of what you buy from that. Ace and Dragon are fairly common I think.

But my blonde-ness keeps me from understanding fully, when it comes to Otacute, do you pay for your pre-order as soon as you hit the order button? Or do you wait until Otacute gets it in stock and then pay for it? (Sorry if I'm making this confusing, it's been a while since I ordered from a company that wasn't HLJ)

Otacute says this:

So yeah, she wouldn't have to pay it up front. But once she pre-orders, she can't cancel it either. I suppose we could wait till it's released to pay, but I don't think it'd be cool to wait that long and in the end have people bail out on her or end up not checking back to the forums in time, either. The set's being released in late June, I think.

I will be royally piss if people back out at the last minute on paying because of an excuse like that. So once everyone commits to paying, I would still like the money to make sure our asses are covered.

If you're talking about the chopper - I don't know if it's Kuji, but I know that the box says nothing about Ichiban Kuji on it. They might be lumping it together with Banpresto just cause Banpresto's in charge of Kuji. I'd look it up a bit more __

My mom hates me cosplay! She thinks it's the biggest waste of money. I got yelled at for cosplaying recently, kinda sucks, but I guess she can't be cool about everything.
