@Yonkou#3:
Can someone tell me why the art changes with like every episode? I dnt recognize this in other anime like seto no haname, kiba, naruto, yu yu hakusho and bleach but in OP the art is always changing and you guys art talking about different animators doing different eps. Can someone tell me the reason for this instead of having one consistant animator?
I recognize of course that other anime also have some differances in art but it's not NEARLY as much as op.
Every anime production has several different animation teams assigned to it, and each one is headed by a different animation director, whose individual art style is used for each episode he or she handles. If you can't tell the differences in other shows, you need to look more closely, 'cause they'll always be there. Though shows with shorter runs and higher budgets are generally more conssitent than those that don't. Long-running adaptations of Shonen shows have the most variety to them.
And that's not even getting into stuff like key animation. But basically, the more skilled the director and his team is, and the more money available, the better things will look.
I think the most consistent shows I've watched recently art-wise would be Eden of the East, CANAAN, Darker than Black and Darker than Black Ryuusei no Gemini, and both seasons of Gundam 00, and none of those were longer than twenty-five episodes.
