Geez, a girl gets away from the computer for a weekend, and everyone starts posting like crazy! xD Hrm, where to start…
~ Most of the recent DVD-Release Sequels Disney's done have been very 'eh', or just plain sad. I found Cinderella: A Twist in Time entertaining and had a half-decent plot, and Mulan 2 was cute, but it wasn't what I was hoping for (Mulan being in my top 3 Disney flicks). Older ones like the 2 Aladdin sequels and Lion King 2 had some of the feel of the original, but didn't quite hit the bullseye.
Rescuers Down Under pretty much the one Disney 2D sequel that equalled, if not surpassed, the original. It had all the great elements The Rescuers had, and bringing it to the Austrailian outback (and introducing Marahute) gave it a magical feeling that trumped the swamps of The Rescuers.
~ I think we'd all love to see the next Batman: TAS, or Gargoyles. After Justice League and JL:Unlimited ended, in my eyes it seemed all there was left were Spongebob-esque in humour and style (which is fine, in moderation). Wolverine and the X-men is good, better than I'd hoped even, but not quite hitting the mark.
~ I can't wait for Bear and the Bow; it's got me excited (and I admittedly love Reese Witherspoon). If anyone can pull off a movie like Newts, I think it'd be Pixar.
...And that pic made me LOL Taboo. XD
I did like Ants, though. Maybe I'm alone in that. shrugs
