well, I went back to Taiwan and was only planning on getting OnePiece 34 - 38 and OnePiece Blue, but due to much temptation I got more than I wanted : x
tried my luck on the toy-in-the-egg thingy
got lucky on my first 4 tries and got the ones I want
but got repeats on my last 2 tries ;_;
(the Lucci one has got to be my favorite X3~ I also wanted Franky and Ussop but I couldn't get'em ;o; )
a very well made model of Nico Robin
there were also Luffy and Nami and Zorro on the shelf but Nico stands out the most (plus she's got her water seven outfit on : P )
this Nami model was the last one in stock, so I couldn't resist…
it pained my wallet but was worth it
just so you can get an idea of how big the nami model is
and guess what~ I just got my salary so I'll be shopping for more XD~
I just hope I have enough luggage space to carry'em all back to Canada >_>;
(I also bought OnePiece 1 - 10 b/c I didn't buy'em the last time I came back, and also Yotsuba To! 1-3)

Anime Palace has a place here in Ohio (10 minute drive from my apartment) out of which they work cons for the east half of the country and they also have a store in the front end of the warehouse and they bring in TONS of nice posters from Japan (their new FMA ones are amazing). Its really a bad thing because they are muy expensivo in a bad way ($10+).
They only got one of the sakura poster and I couldn't pass it up. The little bit of copyright info at the bottom lists Jump Festa 2004 so it is possible it was released specifically for there or something. I'm just thrilled to have a poster with real Oda art.
One more poster and it really isn't in the same league as the other two.
@CosmicDebris - I'm wondering what series 4 POP will be too. We need villains (though I really want Smoker)! I also desperately need my series 1 POP (there is a Nami shaped hole in my soul) but they should (knock on wood) show up in a couple more weeks.

I wish there were more cool anime selling stores around here. You'd think in SoCal you could find more stuff. There's probably stores in LA, but you have to have more than one reason to drive through hell and back.

Yeah, I kind of went overboard this month. Since then it's kind of been winding down though, so I'll probably just be adding to it now and then. As for how much I've spent..let's just say that I could have bought all of the pop figures out so far instead. I like them, but they're just way too rich for my blood. I've gotten pretty good deals on all of the items I've bought so far, on average of $10 per set/individual item, but it adds up pretty fast. So I'm not that crazy, I wait for sales at least :p.

Oh, I am having a stunningly good 24hrs. Once I left work yesterday life just decided to smile on me for a bit. This poster, my newest acquisition, is just one of the great things life has thrown me in this little hot streak.
I had seen it at the store before but I hadn't seen the movie yet and didn't know what the hell the poster was. Then I had seen the movie but all the posters were on the road. Now they finally have their posters unpacked from the constant conventions of late and they still had it (though they sold out of the FMA one I wanted). Had to buy it.

Too bad the two front sets are fakes. The quality for the chess set is pretty good though..except nami is done horribly and zoro has blue hair :laugh: .
My favourite out of that lot has to be that solar powered chopper. His head moves back and forth when he's exposed to light..I just love cheesy stuff like that!

I got him from a local store for $12. He was on sale! I wanted the japanese version with the wanted poster more, but that one was like $28. The one I got is the bandai asia version.
I just did a quick search and this store seems to be the cheapest-$18 for the japanese version. I don't know how much shipping is though. This one includes chopper too, mine doesn't.

the thing is, I SOOOOOOOOOOO want that Franky keychain
so I kept putting coins in, but end up with two Luffy, two Nami, two Lucci, and one Chopper >>;;;
one try is 50 NT or 2 CAD…so I spent $14 without getting Franky >>;;
then I found out that you can just buy the whole set that costs 500 NT (20 CAD) and I got so pissed b/c I just wasted $14 <_<;;
then later I found another shop that sells the whole set for only 200 NT (8 CAD), but by that time I've already lost intrest in those keychains I ended up not buying them...
and now...regrets ;;
