Well, I wasn't but if you ever were, please share, what did you do??

I was reading this post. Apparently herr_sebbe got banned because of this thread. I agree that the thread deserved hall of shame, but getting banned?? IDK, maybe you think its right, if so, how so??

I am a new member here so I don't know many taboos here, I would like to know, don't want to get banned, so I thought instead of PM'ing Mods before every thread I make, it would be a better idea to "learn by experience of others". Anyway, I could imagine being a Mod would be difficult, so there can be some difficult decisions, we all make mistakes, the point is to learn from them.

As long as you follow these rules and use common sense then you'll be just fine.

As for threads, why not browse some the previous threads to see what is and isn't acceptable. Though this can be trickier in the anime/manga sections. In which case pm a mod or simply ask here.

An event in which I personally "have both the authority and the power to ~~kill~~ ban every single one of you if I see fit" :devil: So before anybody considers to say that the mods and admins here are unfair you should take a good look at the law enforcement in the tournament subforum first. It might change your opinion about the real mods and admins.^^

Pft. Don't go blaming legit results on mods. Those can be blatantly altered to be 100% in favor of a single category with a million votes, if there was to be something fishy going on.

The mods have a sense of humor and mingle with the rest of the forum, and generally have pretty decent insight or opinions on things, THAT'S why they're good.

Mostly the only people that complain are those that do stupid shit and deserve being smacked by the ban hammer anyway.

I don't see much of a problem with mods on AP. (Mods and admins are the only ones who can ban, right? Or can senior members do that too?) The only ones I've noticed getting banned are the ones who are usually being a**holes and making retarded threads like "OMG NAMIZ ISZ SEXYYY". As long as people don't start getting randomly banned, I'd say the moderation is fine. (Although, reading through the archives prompts me to believe that almost the entirety of the forums .were banned for no reason one time? O_o? What's up with that?)

The modding here varies wildly because some mods kick ass, and some are giant turds.
Overall though they're better then places like Narutofan where the mods are terrifyingly incompetent and super strict at the same time.

Most people I know of that got banned:
1.) Created a retarded thread to push the mods over the edge
and/ or
2.) Half their posts sent threads off course because everybody else in the thread hated them.

So basically, don't make retarded threads and if people start hating you, don't be yourself.
