I remember being called a troll once for calling Sasuke emo on a different forum a year or so back, but now I don't think even the biggest tard in the world could deny this. And Kishi just continues to kill Naruto's character and shit on all the endearing qualities he had in part 1. This could've sounded so much better had he said that he'd beat Sasuke and bring him back or die trying, instead of this cheesy and awkward promise (with yaoi underones) to save him or kill him while dying with him.

this could all have been… sort of redeemed, if Sasuke had actually secretly embracing Itachi's will, as Itachi intended. If upon learning that Itachi was a good guy, and he wanted Sasuke to go on and be a defender of justice, and ALSO understanding the unavoidable generations of hatred in the Uchiha clan that needed to be ended... and Sasuke realized he just couldn't do it. Not enough time or power, and too late to redeem himself or fix his clan, knowing that his clan really does just need to end, and knowing full well that Naruto wouldn't give up on him.
And so Sasuke made the conscious choice. After taking care of buisness, he would be for Naruto, what Itachi was for him. A blatantly evil threat that Naruto would have to take down. Sasuke takes all the blame for the horrible actions and things that HAD to be done, Naruto gets to be a hero and grow up from finishing him off, all while prepping Naruto to deal with Madara and take the responsibilities of Hokage as he needs to take them. It would carry the same tragedy, honor, and sacrifice the Itachi reveal did, and it would actually make some sort of sense. (Particularly when you realize that Sasuke pretty much just reformed team 7 with himself in the Kakashi role.)
Would be an interesting twist. Would even explain why he started acting cruel to Karin the last couple of minutes, and his entire plan MAKING NO SENSE AT ALL since Itachi died, if he was in fact, just putting on a show, for everyone. Even the crazy insane face is explainable, Itachi did the same thing.
Well, you know, if it weren't for the LOOMING DARKNESS EATING HIS SOUL THAT EVERYONE CAN SEE, this could all well be an act. Shame that its not. Not with the incredibly contrived symbolism and all the prep work Itachi did in advance giving Naruto a bonus power and Kishi not being that clever, and all.
Instead, its all just a bizarre, incredibly stupid out of character yaoi fest reveal.

I think the impressive display of powers by Pain and his various moves were awesome, the Huge frogs fighting summons werent bad either..and even Naruto with his rasengan variations didnt make me feel bored.. I found it good, just because none had to get into Naruto's way (yes I found that dumb too) it doesnt mean the fight was bad.

Naruto vs Pain was defineteley better than Itachi vs Sasuke which had to be the worst fight of the series by a long shot and the where I started losing serious interst in the manga.
Kishi just keeps killing the coolest villains first.

Naruto/Jiraiya/Tsunade/Kabuto/Orochimaru free for all. Choji versus Orochimaru's minion. Drunken Rock Lee versus bone guy. The first Naruto versus Sasuke fight. Naruto versus Orochimaru. Nearly anything with Raikage or Killer Bee.
That is of course, sticking to just Naruto fights and not mentioning Dragonball, One Piece, Jackie Chan, Samurai Jack, Lone Wolf and Cub, or anything else ever with an action sequence.

I personally think Itachi vs kakashi in part 1 was pretty cool as well. Itachi's intro was stylish. He had the attitude of a uber villain. His statu as a tragic hero does not fit him at all. it was a metal gear solid 3 ending rip off.
Naruto vs neiji was good. Especially, the end was very satisfying.
Shikamaru vs Temari has to be one of the most awesome fight of the serie.

For those of you who didn't realise 200 chapters ago, Sasuke and Naruto are in love. Not one of those one-off flings, real commitment. Hinata can sacrifice herself all she wants, Naruto's only got eyes for one man.
More stunning news, Sasuke is depressed!!! Nobody understands him and everyone rejects him. Maybe Kishimoto wants us to think that all he needs is a hug! He will then use this hug and the subsequent character reformation to justify all of Sasuke's attempted killings.
And, just in case you've not read the manga, turns out Sakura is useless!!!! At everything!!! Which makes Kiba and Lee worse than useless because she somehow knocked them out!!! Way to go Kishi!!!
