Hmm..one aspect that makes the Vegeta more successful in terms of being an action figure has to be the fact that his character design (i.e. Toriyama's art style) already emphasizes prominent looking deltoid muscles. So the joints are better camouflaged, I think. Whereas with Luffy, his arms are meant to be pretty skinny, so there's really no way to blend the joints in.

Yes, that's the only thing that I'm worry about.
Luffy is like stick figure. I just hope they find some way to camouflage the joints.And I don't think they just going to make luffy.
The rest of the crew will follow, and maybe shichibukai, admiral, Ace…...etc :D

Don't really care about hiding the joints too much. As a former young boy who played with action figures, and as a man that still collects a few DC/Marvel ones, I've been accustomed to figures with joints, whether they're cleverly hidden by clothes, barely visible like a Gundam model/other mecha, or are just there out in the open.
On the other hand, it was the POPs that were my actual first non-movable figure collection. I thought that non-moveable anime figures were pretty stupid, especially for their price. They didn't move. They just basically stood there. And if you liked the character, but hated the pose, there was nothing you could do about it.

Sometimes too good of a quality will hurt though, because of the price. Like, thank god Hot Toys doesn't make One Piece merchandise. My wallet would cry for years.

Yeah, i'm in this boat. Grew up hardcore on action figures and still love them to this day. If they hadn't screwed up Marvel Legends, I might not have bought as many OP toys as I have been doing. P.O.P.'s were one of my first non-poseable figures, and early on, for the price I was always annoyed how they were stuck in certain poses which were very hit or miss for me.

But well, you don't pay 3000yen but expecting something like Hot toys or Medicom. :D

Take it easy man. I know you're frustrated that you have been spoiled of the latest chapter but you didn't have to go that far.
As far as the rule goes, this is what I know:
"Whenever someone spoils something outside of the spoiler thread before the full raw is out, the person gets one warning."
also from the updated spoiler rule:
"2. NO LEAKING SPOILERS OUTSIDE THE SPOILER BOARD. Violators will not only lose the ability to post in & view the spoiler sub-forum. I was under the impression that once the entire chapter was out, you were aloud to talk about it freely everywhere…? but I don't know all the rules. I remember I said something in my art thread that was spoiler related before a complete chapter was out and Alina informed me to edit or change it because it was forbidden and bannable to speak about it before a full chapter release so now that it's out I thought it was alright ...? There's no telling who doesn't keep up with OP I guess...
So I'm assuming I was also reported? I mean I can change my post but honestly I thought it was ok to speak of it when the entire chapter was out.

if you are going to come to and post in a forum that you know full well frequently has posters that do not take the time to consider whether the other members have read the latest manga chapters, and then expect NOT to see some discussion of it, then you are being naive….not to mention that emolisher put his spoiler under spoiler tags AFTER the chapter had been released. you took a chance by clicking on the spoiler and reading it, so don't jump down his throat because he didn't make it explicitly clear that there were manga spoilers under this tag, according to forum rules he has no obligation to do so.

While I agree the phrasing is a bit harsh, in general I agree with Buuhan. I've been keeping up with the anime instead of the manga (One Piece just works better for me moving and colored in), and it's a little annoying trying to keep up with the new figure news while avoiding mentions of character deaths and whatnot. Yeah, I suppose it's my own fault going on a board and expecting there not to be talk about the latest chapters, but this is the best place to talk about the merch so here I am anyway.
As for the use of the spoiler tag: in this thread, the spoiler tag doesn't mean "spoiler." It means "here's a big pretty picture." So if you're using the tag to hide an actual spoiler, could you write that somewhere prominent before the tag?
