Does any body know where I could get a Franky POP, (preferably not an auction site)?…Toysnjoys friggin flaked on me again...I don't know why I even decided to give them any more of my sympathy...

This was a bit of a toughy. I wouldn't think it'd be so hard to locate one but it was….there are a couple on ebay but only 1 vendor I would trust having the gold sticker version (wonderonline or something). I actually searched high and low in taobao (China auction site) for one and was able to locate one where the box was a bit beat up for around $60. These POPs just gets sold out way too quickly.

Yeah I'm still hoping that toysnjoys will in fact send me the POP at it's original price and not scum me out… (it was listed on their site at 60 bucks when I ordered it but the moment I did they cranked it up to 90)...

Just my type A personality talking. =) I know the silver stickers are the same things but something inside me needs to have all my boxes "matching" with gold stickers. I don't have a good reason for it heh. I believe these 3 people on ebay are your best bets if you decide to go this way:

toysnjoys is the biggest scam in all of the Internet. I would never ever buy something from them unless you like to wait 6 months for it and proactively like complaint emails.

That sounds horrible, i'd be pissed off beyond words to them o_O Do they get the payment and THEN make you wait that much? Isn't there anything illegal about it? Anyway, thanks for the info. I never came across there and i'll keep this in mind.

VERY reliable place. Located in Japan. They also have Tashigi, Aokiji, Lucci, Zoro, Sanji, Brook, Ace, both Namis. They had had a smoker a week or two ago (for $350), but it looks like it must have sold.

I learnt my lesson. No more SAL for me from HLJ. They lost me a figure, non One-Piece. Prior to this one, my Mihawk and Aokiji took one month and two months to arrive. A Haruhi figure I ordered alongside those 3 never arrived. And according to HLJ policy, I had to wait 90 days until they could do something. 90 days passed and they told me to wait another 30 to investigate. At the end of the 120 days they fortunately managed to ship me the Haruhi figure again... except I asked to use EMS and that I would gladly pay the difference. They accepted. And its safely at home now. Yet... 120 days is fricking ridiculous.

There... I ranted.

BTW, have you ever been charged by customs? It's never happened to me, but I'm not sure if some items actually require it, like the figures, am expecting some in the next few months and it is my first time ordering from HLJ :ninja:.

I've never gotten customs charges from packages from HLJ. Neither through EMS nor SAL.

I have gotten customs charges, though, when a package I ordered from Amazon weighted over 5kg :ninja:

Last time I ordered from them I got doujinshi animation artworks and I had it shipped SAL. I just needed to request that in the little comment box. I think you can't use SAL shipping if you pay by paypal is all (no idea why). They take IPMO and credit cards as well.

I never got charged customs from HLJ, though I might have just been lucky. It's pretty random.

SAL here is generally 10-14 days.

Intl EMS is like 5-7 days usually. I've only used SAL once from HLJ and that wasn't bad, but I was paranoid the entire time that my GLM would be lost. I used EMS when I ordered the Hetalia figures.

Thanks for the responses all. Right now I have a back and forth system between Japan…either my parents in law bring my figures or I bring them myself when I make it over there. But between December, January, and February....there will be quite a backlog with all the POPs. I know SAL is very cheap and think I will have ship that way if it becomes too much luggage to lug (we're talking Luffy SW, Chopper, SW, Mugiwara Theatre vol. 2 x3, SW Zoro, SW Nami, Aokiji, and Rob Lucci)....and this isn't even including the other stuff I need them to lug back. So SAL might not be a bad option. I will just make sure to insure the products in case of lost mail.

I live in the US on the east coast and SAL generally takes 2.5 - 3 weeks. I've been using SAL for three years or so and I never had a package lost, but hearing that people have lost theirs is making me a little nervous. From everyone's feedback though, it seems HLJ at least sends a replacement if the package cannot be found. Guess I'll just have to keep hoping my packages come because there is no way I can afford EMS every time :(

I've had a couple of packages take 3-4 weeks but not from HLJ, I think the places I ordered them from didn't bother to ship them until much later =_=

Which ones are you looking for? You can get the new ones or the re-releases through HLJ.

There were also a lot of PoPs in this past con, I'm sure I still have some of the vendors phones… or web pages somewhere if you want me to look for them n.n;;;.

I cancelled Kuma as well, and I'm going to have to cancel SW Luffy as well. The only thing I'll be able to buy this next month if I'm lucky is the Hetalia keychain set >_< And the Franky POP if the anime store still has em.

I'm moving to the dorms and I hate to buy a bunch of figures right before I go and not get to look at them. I'll pick up Franky but I'll pass on everything else for awhile (also to save some money) unless for some reason someone up there in Japanland decides to be generous and make us a Crocodile figure <3
