@Yami_Gohan:
Most 360 players I know of their 360 Libary consist of only madden,Halo games and Call Of Duty games with the occasional Bioshock. I had a 360 with live but Im not that rich nor have the time to play live with my 360 friends plus after My 3rd game playtime : bam RED RING. Their customer service is also very lousy plus Banjo was only fun on the N64. That Nuts and Bolts game completely ruined the francise. So I guess you could say we're on the opposite side when it comes to games. I still get my occasional Halo battles with buddies but on their 360. But enough about Xbox this is a Wii disscussion. ;)
Spoken like a true retard. Especially the bolded. Why just one bow? Go on take another.
@NGeno:
I kinda figured… What I meant by "players making Brawl imbalanced" was "Tournament people trying to make it an ordinary fighting game."
Brawl in it's natural state is incredibly balanced... With Items, stage hazards, and whatnot...
Nobody can do that. Smash, no matter how it is played is one of the most unique fighters out there. Positon, spacing, stage attacking, ledge fighting, teching and directional influnce (RIP) makes Smash anything but ordinary. The game plays in its own way. That's Brawl's natural state. Hell, given the appeal for customization you could argue that Brawl doesn't have a natural state at all.
Luck based things lke stage hazards don't do shit to balance Brawl because it's LUCK. A Pokeball can just as easily land next to the winning participant as the losing one. It doen't change the fact that Meta Knight can rape Captain Falcon easily prior to the item's appearance in the first place. The worst part about these arguments is that people make it seem that high level playing or simply turning the items off is like some kind of game hack. Nothing's been changed. It's the kind of customization that Sakurai pushed as a STRENGTH of the game.
Tourny players aren't to blame for the imbalance in the game design. The game desginers are. Turning items off just eliminates an annoyance to some players. Then again the game was desgined to let you do that as well. They flaws of the game still come from character imbalance and it's stripped down fighting system. Sakurai took what was a game that was versitle and fun for a wide audience and stripped it down to two play options. "RANDOM MADNESS HAHA SO FUN" and "META KNIGHT v META KNIGHT GOGO"
Anyone who whining about Brawl please shoot yourselfs in the foot. No one cares about the fucking stages or tiers. I can kick anyone's ass with Jigglypuff. So you think balance in games matter? Please just enough.
i pwn u noobs wit any char even sandbag fuk tiers i beat my buddz jeremy n matt all day and they 100 times better then u
@fedcom:
I'm not saying fps are better on the wii or anything, but saying the wii-mote has no accuracy is bullshit. You do not have to raise your arms at all, rotating the wrist is all it takes to move the cursor.
Yeah I agree. The Wii has the tools to be THE FPS console, just all the aiming systems on games not named Metroid seem to be horribly fucked up. Especially if the game is multiplatform. Developer's fault so far.
@Toastboy:
The Wii has the best library of high quality Action Adventures ( Zelda [ New Zelda at next years E3], Metroid Prime 3, Okami, Final Fantasy Crystal Bearers, Metroid: Other M, etc. )
So we're comparing 3 games that aren't released yet, a port and another cookie cutter Zelda and this is best hands down? Honestly I think PS3 has the best lineup in this area with Heavenly Sword, Ratchet (Which becomes less of a platformer every entry), Uncharted and Infamous.
and Platformers ( Soon 3 Mario Platformers, Klonoa, Wario Land, Muramasa, etc. ).
Muramasa isn't a platform. It's more along the lines of Odin Sphere as a RPG. And Klonoa is a bare bones port of an awesome PS2 game.
Other then that yeah Nintendo wins platformers. Almost by default. It's a shame to see this genere die like this.
And within the next year the Wii will be at least as good as PS360 in Japan-RPGs ( Monster Hunter 3, Tales of Graces, Rune Factory, Dragon Quest 10, Fire Emblem etc. )
How far are any of these in development? FE isn't named, DQ IX just released recently in Japan. Monster Hunter won't be bad, but RUNE FUCKING FACTORY? You would have made a better argument without that game.
I fail to see how that trumps both 3 new FF (MMO one included), White Knight Story and others.
Horror games ( Resident Evil 4 which was still somehow creepy sometimes unlike RE5, and Silent Hill Shattered Memories, Fatal Frame 4, Cursed Mountain, etc. )
Aside from the RE4 quip I agree.
