Man all I can think about is cosplay and all I can do is nothing about it =_=;; Living in Oklahoma SUCKS ASS.
Due to time constraints and the need for some funds, I offered to use one of them for a friend's commission. And now since I have the other one still, might as well reconstruct another prop out of it.
I am on the lookout for some similar ones, they were not hard to make really. Just gotta find the right kind of wooden swords with sheaths.

You're telling me! I woke up, drove to get my friend, and worked on our cosplays for fourteen hours straight before I raided the internet for two hours before going to bed (now). BUT! We went from not even having a blade on one of Zoro's swords to having three sheaths painted and the blades of all three swords primed, among other things. It's lots of fun but a lot of work too.
Tomorrow is going to be the same. I am going to eat, drink, and breath these costumes to death even before AX, but I can't wait to see you all at the Thursday night dinner thing! OUR LUFFY WILL OUTEAT YOU ALL!

at this time I don't even know when we'll be aloud to attend another con so I'm going to be job hunting and dreaming of loosing weight and making costumes. Also… Wal-Mart in this shit town is getting rid of one of the only reasons I really visited the store... the fabric section... they're GETTING RID OF IT WEEPS wtf Wal-mart!!!! your crafts section is BIG ENOUGH your party section IS BIG ENOUGH Dx I don't want them to get rid of it!! Yeah, Walmart's around my area have gotten rid of their fabric section as well. All that's left close by is a Joanne's Superstore. Otherwise, it's either a half hour to over an hour trip to the fabric district.

well we have a Hancock fabrics in town… but I can't imagine them lasting long but maybe they will thanks to walmart getting rid of their fabric. We have a hobby lobby that... lets face it... does NOT have the selection a cosplayer would need u__u so the closest Joanns is in Tulsa, which is at least an hour away =___= I mean I'd have to KNOW JUST WHAT I"M LOOKING FOR to not have wasted my time driving up there x_x and we have to pay a toll there and back... I HATE THIS TOWN Dx

your so cute when you pout coral. Fabricland is the main fabric store in Canada. They got rid of the big one near where I live. there is another one relatively close by but it's not as big. :\ ha ha. I remember finding a fabricland in Downtown Toronto. that was kinda cool. All tucked away in a corner and down some stairs in the underground path.

You would need:
The coat (Definitely a custom make)
The shirt (Since it's a white dress shirt, shouldn't be too hard to find)
The vest (Definitely a custom make)
The scarf (Should be possible to find one)
The pants (Just black dress pants, easy to find)
The shoes (You can probably doctor some black dress shoes)
The hook (Obviously a custom make)
The rings (Maybe a store that sells costume jewelry? If not, custom make)
The earring (See above?)
The scar (Easy with stick-based face paint)If you have all that, you just need the signature laugh.

So it seems omnichild and I are both from the midwest, and are both attending ACen next year. If anyone else is going, you'll see me as Franky (for the last time) and Kuma on the One Piece front. And when I'm not those two I'll either be Horohoro or Typhlosion.

Okay. Question. Since I'm doing Tashigi, I know I have to get a pale yellow shirt. [Let's see how hard that is to find one while Yellow is in season. pumps fist in air]
But, I have a question. I know you guys talk a lot about stencils. How would I make a stencil for the design, and what kind of paint would I use?

For stencils we make out own out of paper, unless we are able to find an actual stencil that would work. And I use fabric markers.
@Miss Cricket: thanks! My hubby is indeed very talented. I love him so much. I am just hoping I can get him to finish it. He has a bad habit of not finishing things.

you can find plank stencils in the craft store. and use an xacto knife to cut out the pattern from a print off
(what I used for the galley-la logos on our shirts)and Paint I would recommend Tuilp Matte with a small brush
Fabric paint will peal off the stencil when dry so its perfectly reusable

These are some pics I just took of my Nami wig that arrived in the mail today x3 I'm sooo excited about it, now I just need to work on my body so that I can actually cosplay her without embarassing the character, and myself x_x; Though from what I've seen people wear when they come to the grocery store I work in I should be fine xDDD

This is obviously a cell pic, and I think I actually parted her strand of hair on the wrong side like a retard, but this is generally what it looks like. I believe I'll have to trim the bangs, and curl the back of the hair some, other than that I love it x3 The color looks like poop though, it's my room with bad lighting after all x_x; I'll get some better pics of it laters possibly this weekend.

I am super hoping I can pull off being a chick for once. I mean.. I know I am, but it's just hard for me to cosplay girls and look FEMININE. Nami's very feminine, so we'll just have to see how this works out xDDDDDSo there's my wig..no actual cosplay progress,though I'm thinking of trying to look around for some 5 inch heals for her sandals and then modify them. I know walking around in 5 inch heals is gonna be A) VERY FUCKING HARD and B) going to take some time to get used to..but I don't want to be 5 ft tall as Nami.. so we'll see.
Anyways, have no clue when this is ever getting done/started/debuted, but someday I hope xDDD

@MoonNeko: I worked my camera for what It was worth to get those pictures clear xD Wigs are risky work I tell ya, o_o If you mess up it eats away at you when your wearing the costume x3 Speaking of Nami wigssss…WHERE'D YOU GET YOURS?! It depends on what kind of prop he is making, honestly. For a gun, he is using bits of pvc pipe and some other things. For the Sailor Saturn wand, we made a mold and cast it and I am not for sure what he is using to finish it.
What do you need/want to make? Let me know and I can ask him what he thinks would work.

OHHH Okay, yeah, that's where I got the wig dye for my Sanji wig x_x;; though it said one bottle will cover a short wig..IT LIES.. sooo..LIES… I'm glad that my Sanji wig doesn't show it, but that did NOT cover hair as short as Sanji's, but for Kaku it should be FINE O____O Good luck with it, and yes. I COMPLETELY see why people dye their wigs with sharpies, I completely see why x_x;
