Thanks Palochka!! I decided to purchase the wig.. and see how it goes xDDD Not cosplaying Nami too soon, but every single time I don't bid or buy a wig I want I can never find it again, happened with the Paulie wig I wanted, and a Sanji wig I wanted both on Ebay =_=;; I asked both sellers if they had more of the wigs like those in stock, neither did, so I just bought this one JUST incase.

Also got some My Little Pony stuff today, 2 boa's for the tail, and a shirt and pair of pants to dye. Of coarse I'm not making those, that would give my sis too much shit to do, and I'm glad my costumes not too complicated, though it's verging on super dull and boring x_x;; ahaha we'll jazz it up I'm sure.

Awww Thanks Neko XD I can't lie. I LOVE the wig Spork brought down that her gf uses for her Nami, so I was trying to find a wig that was similar in color to that one. I REALLY loved the wig I found, so I bought it xD

Dude.. you all should do some sort of My Little Pony!! There's like hundreds to choose from too, guys, girls, anything! I am hoping ours turn out alright, I have to dye a shirt and pants yellow for mine x_x;; I've got my fingers crossed xD

I'm just so proud that it's finally done. I pretty much have everything ready for AX: the shirt, the pants, the sword, the shoes! Now I just need to put it all together when my friend finishes making my hat. :D

Two things about your Kaku costume:

1. Hopefully you'll have a friend or 2 to help you through the convention hall, especially through doors. 2) Would you be able to take a pic of either the front or side of the head? I just wanna see the eyes.

Last weekend there was a convention. I was only told wednesday that I would be going ( friends ended up paying for a room and everything last minute). So in two days, I came up with this cosplay. Completely made from scratch, so there are small tidbits not there.

That would be a fun version to do, probably easier then trying to do cactuar but I must get that done too…

Blah I'm starting to edit my Kaku swords now, though I really hate I have to mess up the shiny black handles to make them brown, oh well.

I really wish I could just edit a real sword to make Funkfreed when I start on Spandam but I'm sure the cons I'd wear it to would be the ones that totally ban live steel period (I'm surprised alot of cons will actually let you bring in live steel, as long as you keep it peace bonded o.o;;; )

Day 0 -- ??? Possibly the only one of SK Cosplay trying to cosplay for ticket pickup
Day 1 -- Aokiji (recycled from Fanime; got a new, better wig; needs styling)
Day 2 -- Mafia Colorspread Sanji (wanted to do Usopp, but had no time; wig needs styling because my hair isn't long enough)
Day 3 -- Ben Beckman (god damn cape; also need finishing touches on boots and to test hair dye)
Day 4 -- plain clothes?

AX 06. 2nd time cosplaying. Actually grew out and bleached my hair for this. Would've done it again this year had I actually decided to go as Sanji again (it was long enough since I grew it out for Kid from Eyeshield 21). Unfortunately, I cut it just enough to get a decent Beckman look. So now a wig.

Wow, I hope we can get the wig to look as good as your actual hair. The bleach did a good job capturing how yellow Sanji's "blonde" hair is.

I'm working on finishing the last couple things for my costumes, then this is going to be a big weekend of finishing group stuff.

My AX plans:
Day 0 - at work :( Last chance to print photos and reference
Day 1 - Hina (from Fanime, I should probably make sure everything's ready to go again)
Day 2 - Mafia Colorspread Luffy (now with striped suit!)/Impel Down Luffy (with a couple friends who're planning to do the ID Okama Trio :D :D)
Day 3 - Shanks (OP Gathering)/Water 7 Nami (Masquerade)
Day 4 - Nami? Hiruma? Luffy? Whatever's going to be comfortable. Hiruma takes a lot of prep work but it's so much fun, and now there's a bazooka involved…

I ordered a pair of wooden swords off of ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=320354009860) and, really all I have to do is spraypaint em. Then I'll have to take off all this ribbon/fabric crap they put on the handle (it was done poorly anyway) then find a color to make it look more… wood color then spray it on there for the handle. Honestly that will be the most time consuming part =P ((and it would be cool if Kaku had black handled swords but noooooo)

It only took me 5 days (total, including the weekend) to recieve them, so if you went that route there is plenty of time to order and get them painted before the con.

I'll be Alabasta Sanji all five days (yes, I'm coming with just Luffy to the Day 0 dinner. SHE WILL OUTEAT YOU ALL) because I don't feel like bringing Russia and don't have the time to make another cosplay. If I can manage to fix my old suit jacket into a suitable Sanji jacket, I'll wear that for the black and white ball. I still can't find a decent Sanji shirt though.

I'm pretty pleased with our Zoro's cosplay. The brocade came out well. The swords aren't quite done yet (the third one's at my house) but they're looking good, especially for the amount of woodworking Zoro and I have done in the past. They've got a really good feel to them, if nothing else.

(Which got me an awesome sushi set) :'D I was so flattered! Also changed out of that since I was boiling to death and swapped into Luffy. Heres me in a tree 8D

I don't think any katanas in OP are made of wood. However, wooden cosplay katanas are definitely the preferred method.

I still have one, but its going to be converted into Gin's sword (Bleach) since I've already had to sacrifice the other one for a commission (is so poor! >_<)

Fabric pain bleeds through for my Beckman cape, since it's only one layer. Since the design is supposed to show through, it's great. Too bad I suck at painting. This is going to be a test of my patience, which I severely lack right now. >.<

WOW.. I am like.. in SHOCK that you destroyed those swords X____X WOW.. I would NEVER do that to any of my hard work!! I'm sorry you had to do that, no matter how much money I had or didn't have, I would never tear up any of my props, NEVER!!!!!
