I would rather the story progress at the pace it's supposed to. I'm in no hurry to speed events up.

Almost made me cry again, dammit.
Now that I've read ahead, seeing Going Merry's "tears" again made me wonder if they're supposed to be genuine tears or just seawater, like one would assume at first. After all, there was that talk about the spirit thingy that Usopp tells Franky about and all that… -
I'll say thank you here:
**Ep 232 tonight! Finally!
It's been a long time, sigh but today at midnight gmt+1 we'll release One Piece episode 232!!!
Those who've been patient all the time, leech and seed by will ^_^ And those who haven't… do it as well :-P
Relax... we'll be alot faster from now on.**
From gerusama.com :D

damn i almost forgot to dl this ep. dling now :S
-
I watched the episode earlier this morning and wow.. For me, this was the most emotional episode since some of the Arlong Park episodes.
-
I watched it. sob
Very well done. It was as good as I expected it to be. And it made me cry, of course.
;_;The flashbacks were better than I thought they would be, ALTHOUGH they could have used some different one rather than using certain ones over and over again. :P I liked the little Clima Tact one, that was unexpected.
-
When reading the manga, this fight instantly became my favorite in the entire series. It was heavy, it felt IMPORTANT, far more so than even the climatic arc ending battles. It's conclusion topped even Hiruluk's death speach as my single favorite moment in the series. It's proof that it's when One Piece gets serious that it's at it's utter pinnacle.
This episode did more than give it justice. It was incredible. Best episode thus far in the series, fitting for the best event in the series.
-
This is one of the few fights in the series that really had a "meaning." The only other one that comes to mind for me is Arlong Park.
-
I don't think I can recall watching an episode where I was so emotionally involved. I had that edge-of-my-seat feeling through the whole thing. The ending was really perfect, too. The music that they used really drew out the right emotion. I have to wonder what my reaction would have been if I hadn't read the manga, and I didn't see this coming and what would happen in the episodes ahead.
And you know, I have to say as an aside, this fight should really make all the people who say "Usopp should get a gun" quit it. XD Usopp couldn't have done jack to Luffy with a gun, but look at all the crazy stuff he can do with the slingshot. I didn't realize how cool the explosive cactus star was when I saw it in manga form. Did he buy that somewhere or did he make it?

**BTW, as some of you guys are anticipating,
there'll be Luffy VS Usopp fight coming.
And recently I heard that Luffy's VA Mayumi Tanaka declared about the recording,
"I shouted out so much that my throat gone hoarse.
Sorry if the voice sounds terrible in the show."
At first, I didn't take it too seriously because it was just a message someoneelse
posted on the board and I couldn't find any source of it.
But last Sunday, when Episode's A-Part is over and entered a commercial time,
I saw a Skypiea Arc's DVD advertisement, which shows lotza flashbacks
and Luffy's voice-over goes
"THAT'S WHY I'LL RING THE GOLDEN BEEEELL"and so on.
And I can swear, in a single word,
his shouting voice was FRIGHTENING.
Maybe it was made after they did Luffy VS Usopp recording…So Folks, we'd better get ready to crap our pants with fear
in the Episode after the next.
**The rumor is right… it seems.
-
What rumor is right? Luffy didn't really a HUGE amount of screaming. It still could have been from a previous episode.
Edit: Nah, I'm pretty sure ya didn't mean that. :P
-
And recently I heard that Luffy's VA Mayumi Tanaka declared about the recording,
"I shouted out so much that my throat gone hoarse.
Sorry if the voice sounds terrible in the show."I meant of this rumor, but on second thoughts, Luffy's voice seemed a little tired already in the 235…
Especially when he said "Okay...just...go." at Nami.
I think that wasn't just from acting... -
Well, I guess so. BTW, I had edited my post before you replied, because I remembered that you do read the manga, but you know, some people don't so you never know. ;)
-
It seemed a little strained when Luffy was screaming/shouting, but beyond that I didn't really notice anything different. If Mayumi Tanaka's voice was off in that episode, she hid it well. ;)
-
btw there is no OP episode this coming sunday.
another 1 week break from the anime :POP ep237 would be shown at July 3 2005 ^^
-
Wow!!!! This episode is SOOO sad!!! T_T I totally cried at the end!!! Poor poor Luffy and Usopp!!! T_T
Best episode ever!! Just to show how much Oda can play with our emotions and for the animators to do this episode BEAUTIFULLY!!! T_T
-
i finally saw 236. althought i didnt understand it, i almost shed a tear, i didntd, but , i did get a little sad. cant wait till this episode is translated.
-
This was such a good episiode, the music was 100% perfect. It really was so emotionial, but I'm waiting for some of the things coming up next. Things will become very interesting in a matter of a few weeks. And I'll be on vacation with no computer access.
-
Uberly well done. And sad.
I can only feel a mix of sadness and awe, as Usopp launches his coolest attacks… to his best friend and captain.
CosmicDebris: I think he made that Cactus Star. After all, he has always made his ammunition on his own... Man, that guy is a first-class craftsman.
Although 237 has Franky, from that episode and on there will be an uneasy feeling which always bugs me whenever two characters are having a big fight >.< I can only be consoled by the Neko Neko no Mi and SogeKing!!!
-
CosmicDebris: I think he made that Cactus Star. After all, he has always made his ammunition on his own… Man, that guy is a first-class craftsman.
He may have…but I doubt he made the shurinkan stars. If he did make it, it's quite brilliant. :)
Well, I'm really looking forward to Franky in the next episode. And CP9 revealing themselves. And the Klabautermann stuff. And everything else... :) So much good stuff coming.
-
Wow, and I just remembered that Franky's intro will be there….
It'll be weird seeing the animated version of the Ice news breaking out. I always set it to the music from the Spider-Man movie game. :P
-
Haha.
I wonder what music they'll use for Franky's intro? They're all talking about "that rhythm". Maybe they'll use some of those drum pieces from movie 6. -

Downloading it now :D Quick question though, not to sound noobish :P but what program are you guys using to snag the screencaps from these? As I have quite a few downloaded vids I would love to get screens from.
In windows media player, just hit ctrl-i. No other programs needed. (you can also turn off hardware acceleration in wmp, this will make screen shots actually show up instead of being a link to your current vision, but ctrl-i is easier)
-
