also something else not covered is the fortune the former pk had, i think it was a third of the worlds gold so maybe its something we have to take into account for a yonkou to become pk…..

i think we may have boa or raleigh as nakama for a short while until they reach the next island when the crew all get back together.............only because they both seem to have a good working knowledge of haki, so hopefully they could help Luffy in this area as im sure it would be quite hard do figure out...........

i think the final member will be cabin boy/apprentice, but im not sure about the next permanent member

and Buggy forming his new crew with escaped impel down prisoners will NOT make him available to join up luffy as next nakama
when franky joined, he had to leave his franky family behind, the story cannot progress with too much unimportant characters and ships tagging along

That depends on what you mean by "hand-to-hand." If you mean melee combat, then you have Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Franky (who is a hybrid of melee and range combat), Brook, Chopper, and Robin… kind of (while she's technically a ranged fighter, she does use copies of her body parts to attack). If you mean "hand-to-hand" in the sense of a pugilist, then, well... Franky Boxing!

Will Aphelandra, Margaret, Handock or one of her sisters be the next join Luffy's crew?

To be honest, I don't want Hancock to join, she just can't leave her kingdom behind, even if it is for Luffy, it's her job to run it. But it's a whole different story if she get's caught by the WG that she was the one who let Luffy in Impel Down.

Anyways, I just want a female Zoan user in the crew. We need more females in the crew, we need another female DF user, we already have three paramecia users and logias are far too overpowered and she could even expand Chopper's horizans on being a human. :wub:

It would take more than an lifetime to find every treasure in the Grand line and then there's all the other pirate who have treasure of their own, this could include the Yonkou, seeing as they would definitely have treasure.

Some of the stuff you said ain't really impossible, like making it to the end of Grand line, who Roger has already done and we all know that Luffy is gonna do it too, if he's gonna become the next Pirate king. It also depends on strong you are, but at the moment Luffy has no chance of going against an admiral, seeing what Kizaru and Aokiji done to him. What do you mean by succeeding where Whitebeard failed?

1. She is a girl (i think that next nakama would be a woman)
2. She is very strong fighter (very strong DF powers)
3. Her gothic lolita look would fit in the already weird crew ( there is already cyborg, reindeer, skeleton....)
4. i think that she will be guiding zoro to luffy (Zoro and his sense of direction)
5. She doesent want to stay in that dark castle all alone without servants and cute animals...Sanji is always serving girls and chopper is sort of cute animal

dont know about her dream and past but im keeping my hopes up enyway

don't get me wrong, i'd love more crew members and luffy would probably need some buuuuut i really want some quality time with the crew as it is at the moment. i love franky and i absolutely adore brook, but they don't feel like 'family' yet. ^.^

it took me ages to get used to robin and i'm glad oda gave me time to like her and to really see her as part of the family rather than as part of the team. :)

still, at least one new member should be introduced according to me. I would say it is a bit soon indeed, right after Brook joined but it is possible. . . They are pirates on a vast sea on which they can find interesting people anywhere so there really is no telling when someone will join. I mean, how fast did zoro - nami - ussop join one after another?

Also, and I don't like this myself but shouldn't the SH have to get a much bigger crew to survive? I mean, a crew of nine is fun and all and it makes for better storytelling but I can't believe he really thinks he is going to be able to sail the grand line with so little people. . . Or they must get u humonguous strength increase, super saiyan style, between Impel Down and New World. . .

ok, so lets see the nakama joining pattern in one piece. in east blue, we saw a nakama join in every arc, and we saw robin join up at alabasta. in skypia/davy bak, it slowed down and no1 joined. but enis lobby and thriller bark was right beside eachother and each arc joined a crew.
i think Trashcat has a point, Oda needs some time to get the crew to familerize itself with one another, like how robin truly bonded with the crew only adter enis lobby arc.
beside, aside from robin, all the crewmwmber that joined SW was preety obuious from the start. and all these pridiction about ID guard joining doesn't really match up to expectation

sure, luffys crew should have more than 9 people to survive … at least really powerful backup.

but i see it like this .. while still in east blue, there was no problem with letting 4 people join in very short time. we had 5 characters and it was easy to focus on everyone to the same extent. (to tell you the truth .. with just luffy, zoro and nami around it was really boring to watch) they went to the grandline together and bonded quite fast. and since every fan got used to the 5 of them by now, chopper joined, and hey, alabasta lasted 2 years in real time. so we got 2 years to get used to chopper beeing part of the family. then robin joined and at the beginning i had a hard time feeling the same with her ... it was only after EL that i really started to see her as part of the family as well. then we got franky and brook right after him to join and really not much time to get used to both of them. i love both of them from the heart but it still feels kinda odd.

remember .. the most important thing in one piece is nakamaship. :) coz it's the feeling of family that makes the strawhats this powerful. and for me, the fact that they're facing extremely strong guys at the moment, is not a reason to call for another crew member. they'll be fine just like this, coz franky and brook will grow to the family and therefore will be more help to the crew than any new character.

and with all the new characters oda is intruducing now (eleven supernovas and such) i don't think that there would be time to intruduce yet another crew member. it would just feel off-key. and btw .. at the moment the strawhats got more important things to think about than a new nakama ^^

I completely agree with you. Although I really like Franky and Brook they still don't, like you said, feel like "family". It's way too soon to have another crew member again… or at least that's how I feel.

...and personally... I really dislike the idea of Hancock joining. Just... NO. I would prefer Perona over her anytime but like I said, I don't really want anyone to join right now. We still need some quality time with the current crew.

Plus, there is no need for Perona in the SHs crew. Her power is too dangerous for the low tier SHs…. She has no dreams, she has no flashback, we know her as a adamant servant of moria. If she joins now it would only be to fulfill peronas fans dreams.

ok i really do get your point when it comes to hancock joining, coz i too do not believe it. all i'm saying is that it's not impossible (much to my disliking). my only reason for that thought is, what will happen to hancock if the world government finds out about her helping luffy? if they decide to go against her, she may be forced to leave her people in order to protect them (similar to franky). buuuut, i really do not want that to happen. ^^'' coz .. yeah, hancock is cool .. but she doesn't fit in the crew .. somehow.

You forgot that the government knows that a lot of the amazons are pirates? If she looses her Shishibukais title the marines will automatically attacks the island. And a lot of marines out there believe in absolute justice so they might attack all the amazons to be sure to take down all the amazon pirates.

Perona's and Hancock's powers are too broken for them to join….It's just not Oda's style to have anyone like that join the crew.

If it were up to me, Luffy frees some mysterious guy on Level 6 along with Ace, and that mysterious guy asks Luffy if he can join him on his adventure. Luffy says "sure" without any hesitation, and we got our final crew member.

how about someone the crew actually needs, the fact is that perona actually has an amazing gift that nobody else has, she can spy, send messages, check for traps using her projection technique, she has long range attacks and can ruin the moral of any crew facing them using negative hollow, she's like a pre-warning system with tons of other uses to boot.

im not voting for her to join but i haven't ruled her out as a possibility, but the fact remains that the crew is built up on people needed to run the ship, and her powers would have their uses, more so then alot of other people considered so far

e.g. buggy, mr 3, bon clay .....etc.etc

oh maaan, it's so annoying that people are suggesting almost EVERY character in one piece to be a crew member. And almost EVERYTIME they're wrong. I think that everybody with a common sense could already shut down the majority (nearly every single one) of the "possibilities".
Please, why are you all thinking that hancock, buggy, hannyabal, etc… could be part of luffy's crew? Just because you like the character?

And also it is already heavily implied by oda at the beginning of the manga that he will have 10 fellow crew members. And he is always counting these with some chapter titles.
Also i think that he will gather his entire crew by the time he's arriving in the new world (or within the first island of the new world). Because it doesn't make sense if oda let's the last member join in the island before raftel, because you need time to feel familiar with the crew members after they join.
