@Gekko135:
you like using Sakura too Tizoc?
I'll use her occasionally in SF4, mainly because she seems to have some nice combos, might main her if I like her play style :)
I used to bash her back in the alpha days.. but she's actually pretty freaking sweet.
I kinda disliked her continuous apperaces in later games but I'm fine with her in this one :P
her EX shou'ou-ken is BRUTAL!
I'm also a REEAAL big Gouki (Akuma) user.
Do you play Defensive or Offensive with Gouki? His low health tends to advise caution when on the offense because eating a combo hurts him A LOT.
Oh and doing Zangief's 360s isn't as difficult as one thinks, except in older games :P If you rotate the D-Pad or stick in a 270 motion the throw should come out.
@rusashi:
So um, this is my first time actually owning a Street Fighter game, and I kind of suck at it. Any ideas how to get good enough to at least beat arcade?
For starters, know that beating Arcade mode is only to unlock the other characters, so there is no shame or anything in beating it on Easy mode :)
The other thing you need to know is what attacks are safe if they are blocked and what attacks you shouldn't abuse or be careful when using.
Try to utilize Focus Attacks (Medium Punch+Medium Kick) and canceling them (Tap Back twice or forward twice to cancel and dash backwards or forwards). Don't abuse it, since some attacks can 'break' your focus attack and cause a little bit more damage in this case. Using FAs for mind games can help sometimes.
There are 3 levels for FAs as you might now; the longer your charge the focus attack, the more damage it does, but don't bother charging to Level 3, just charge it enough for level 2 to get a free combo in.
Oh and Focus Attack–>Ultra is your best way to land Ultras on your opponent.
Don't worry about using EX moves, saving for a Super isn't usually worth it.
Try to be careful with jumping and Jumping attacks, you cannot block attacks while jumping, and if you get hit with an FA while airbourne, some characters can follow with another attack, or worse an Ultra or Super.
If you are having trouble with the motions, just practice them a bit in the training mode. Do you have the 360 or PS3 ver. BTW?
DOn't be discouraged, at first it'll seem difficult but eventually you'll get the hang of it :)
