After looking at the colour spread of the shichibukai on the latest chapter, I conclude that the shichibukai is deliberately created by Oda to reflect the 7 deadly sins. No coincidence. The facts are all there.
Lust = Boa Hancock
A no-brainer here.
Glutton = Blackbeard.
The picture depict Blackbeard eating left-over food. Definately represent glutton.
Wrath = Barthemelow Kuma
Kuma is seen with a bible… the "Wrath of God" anyone?
Pride = Mihawk
Having the pride of being the strongest swordman alive. Clearly Mihawk loves that title and as a character, is very prideful of his skill.
Sloth = Moria
Remember the "You do it" slogan? And he sleeps a lot as depicted in the Thriller Bark arc. Even when he's fighting, he let the others do for him
The last 2 seem sketchy but here goes...
Greed = Doflamingo.
From wiki...
" "Avarice" is more of a blanket term that can describe many other examples of greedy behavior. These include disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason, especially for personal gain, for example through bribery . Scavenging and hoarding of materials or objects, theft and robbery, especially by means of violence, trickery, or manipulation of authority are all actions that may be inspired by greed. Such misdeeds can include simony, where one profits from soliciting goods within the actual confines of a church. "
Doflamingo clearly runs a slave company and manipulate the world government about his operation. And when his slave company goes haywire,what did he do? Just abandon it as a sign of betrayal.
And lastly.
Envy = Jinbei
He envy Whitebeard am I not wrong?
Well there you go.
Not a speculation,but it's a fact.
7 deadly sins = shichibukai
