If it's Rial then I hope doesn't use her Lyra/Dante voice from FMA… not good for Tashigi IMO.
And if she does use that voice she can go find that flagpole again.
(if you get the reference you win)

Kuina? 16 I figured as much
Hmm I was kinda wondering what they'd do for Tashigi. The Japanese version has two completely different VAs while 4Kids simply casted the same actress in typical Young+Old fashion. I wasn't too thrilled with her Kuina, but I guess being a fan of Shin-chan, I heard her Kuina as "snooty Ai chan" which felt off. If she sounds anything like her "Nyamo" in Azumanga Daioh, she should be okay, but I have the feeling this will be far from a personal favorite in the supporting Funi cast.
Edit: Thinking of Azumanga Daioh made me remember that Nyamo's Japanese VA = Lola, and that Ms. Rial would be a splendid choice. Of course we're talking a casting that won't take place for a good few years ^^;;;
Wait, I thought they had the same actress in Japanese too? :o My memory is broken. :o

No, in the Japanese version they have a different actress.
I'm so excited to get Fourth Voyage. But I really can't wait for Fifth because we will get to see Laboon.
@BlackShadow2500:

It wont be Fifth Voyage, because season 1 only has 4 voyages.
It will be: Season 2 First Voyage
Sadly I'll be sitting out S21V (or 5th Voyage if that "1 season = 100 eps" is true), because the Laboon Episodes aren't worth buying the Warship Island filler.
Oh yeah, don't support FUNi for dubbing filler episodes. Filler or non-filler, FUNi is still paying $30,000 per episode. So by skipping this one set cause of the filler they are spending almost half a million dollars for no point, and you'll have a blank spot in your collection. If you've been buying every release anyways, don't be an ass and skip one just cause you hate non-canon material. Besides, the Apis arc like most of the OP filler arcs weren't that bad, and especially not as bad as people make it out to be.
While you're at it, don't buy the set which has the final Alabasta episodes on it cause of the post Alabasta fillers. What the hell, don't bother buying the Enies Lobby arc at all cause it was dragged out so much.
Sorry for being an ass, but I wanted to vent.
Sorry, but I'm not spending nearly $50 on something I genuinely don't want just to support Funi. I've already bought every episode of DBZ on VHS & the movies (which with almost 300 episodes is a LOT of tapes), all episodes of FMA, and plenty of other releases from them. They've made quite a bit off me already. A hole in my collection is fine, I intend to have quite a few (Goat Island & Rainbow Mist, Ice Hunter, etc). Just like I only plan on buying movies 2 & 9 from them, as they're the only ones I liked.
As the consumer I have the right to be picky :P

Joke?? Or are you saying Rial played Kuina, so she's defintely playing Tashigi or something?

You forget, The Part where they enter the Grand Line was spliced with the Apis arc, and then you have them Leaving Loguetown and Laboon.
There's about 6 - 7 Episodes worth of Canon Material Pickled in there with the Filler, and Seriously, I dont think ANYONE has ACTUALLY Paid 50 Bucks for any of these DVD sets.
They cost about 35, Even less if you wait till the Right Stuff has one of their Big FUNi deals.
Would it really kill you to get the Filler sets? Your collection would have big Gaping holes without them.

My apologies, I thought her seiyuu was the same as Kuina's but I was informed of my mistake later. :)

yeah for me the dvd was $40 but it ended up about $50 because of my shiping rate iu wanted but still its not often $50 bucks. anyways i just had crhistmas and got op unlimited adventures and now my funimation op realease set is complete!
And Season 2, First Voyage will also have most of the Whisky Peak arc. And don't even skip the Ice Hunter arc dvd set since if you don't buy that you'll be missing the first two episodes of Thriller Bark when they get to that point.
Wonder what the cover of the 5th set will be? Maybe all five strahats doing that barrel thing?
Same here, since I kinda hoping for Laboon, Vivi (as Miss Wednesday), and Mr. 9
at this rate funimation should have made the first season 5 voyages and ended after the labon arc.

Lol your complaining at the speed funimation is putting out episodes?
Damn id hate to see how you react to bandai XD

no im just really buged that they cant end a season at a ending place. instead the ending place is wops gonna be chaught by smoker have fun waiting a good 2 or 3 months. just needs a better ending point for a season!
I think ending Season 1 in the middle of the escape from Lougetown is prefect in a way. Since it get people to come back and buy the first set of Season 2.

I agree with the above completely. I intend to purchase every One Piece related DVD they release, movies, OVAs, episodes, specials, etc. Lol, ofc it'll be expensive, but I love all One Piece, even the shittiest of the fillers, which is much better than other Anime. Also, Apis arc isn't THAT bad. I don't get why people hate it so much, aside from the continuity errors made.

are there any erors besides zoro breaking steal?
Zoro told Ryuuma he didn't believe in dragons. Guess what the Apis arc was all about?

A really annoying girl who can talk to animals? :D
Close.
It's more about a really annoying girl who can talk to a stupid dragon that hides in a cave and then dies.
That was a giant rat with scales.
Totally not a dragon.
That totally explains Zoro's skepticism.
Maybe FUNi can fix the continuity Error by having Zoro make an ad-libbed comment about how the Chains He cut aren't made of Steel or something…

That would probably be one extremely rare case where I'd actually approve of a script-change, simply because it would make more sense like that.
Yeah, like "These are made of Aluminum, I can cut this" or if they have him say it AFTER he cuts them "Serves the Marines Right for making Chains out of Aluminum"
Zoro told Ryuuma he didn't believe in dragons. Guess what the Apis arc was all about?
Ok, I get the Zoro error totally since they could have asked Oda, but how the hell could they have predicted one line that took place several years later in the manga? >>
They couldn't, just like they couldn't know that Chopper couldn't eat three Rumble Balls within 6 hours, yet they had him do that during the Davy Back Fight. Fillers run the risk of violating future canon, especially in One Piece, where Oda knows how things work but doesn't actually tell us for a few years, so the risk of contradicting some as-yet ungiven piece of information is quite high. Either way, filler's filler. Just watch it, enjoy the bonus story, and ignore the unknowing errors of a writing staff working with the handicap of not knowing what Oda knows about the story and world of One Piece.
Or…they could just ignore it all.
Filler gets mixed into canon alot, so it's sort of impossible to weed it out. Try watching the Davy Back Fight in the anime without watching filler, and you'll have to resort to splicing episodes. I mean, look at Dragonball Z. You CAN'T ignore the filler in that show, no matter how much you may want to; it's too mixed in. The canonical Frieza Saga can't be separated from the extensions and fillers that Toei threw in, unless you severely splice the episodes, and it's not worth that.
Ok, I get the Zoro error totally since they could have asked Oda, but how the hell could they have predicted one line that took place several years later in the manga? >>
I know it's not their fault, but the inconsistency is there.
why cant they just give a breath summary to oda of the next filler arc at the time and see if anythings wrong.
tv schedule doesn't have the time for such a luxury. Plus, I doubt Oda has a complete grasp of what he has in mind for the future. It'd be nearly impossible for him to have things completely planned out.

and so the anime suffers.

I hope you're joking, cause this sounds awful, and like something 4kids would say. If anything, they should just not mention a metal at all, and just have "chains".
"Hey, Zoro! Can you cut these chains?"
"Of Course I can!"
@super:

It's called a cliffhanger.
Jeez, I was just making a Really quick example. >_>
A team of scriptwriters who could make a Version of "We Are!" that fits the Tune and is an almost perfect translation could probabily come up with something to ad-lib in for Why Zoro can cut a GIANT Steel Chain in one episode, but can't cut a man's arm made of Steel, which is comparatively MUCH smaller.

Yeah. And the end of a season shouldn't really end at such a cliff-hanger. FUNimation made a stupid move by not just including one more episode. You can just admit that…
Ending Season One on the escape from Logue Town seems the best thing to do.
You think using a cliffhanger so people buy the next DVD is stupid?
I think it's the perfect ending spot as-is
! it ends with Luffy Beginning his escape and then Smoker Says "The Wind's blowing to the West… Giving them a perfect Tailwind... Is this all coincidence?! It's as if the forces of Heaven itself are keeping him alive..."
And then we get the Glimpse of Dragon
It's an awesome Closing point!!

That reminds me…
I wonder who will play dragon.
Bob Carter…or Chris Sabat...?
Probably R. Bruce Elliot.
can't be Sabat or Elliot since they are both already playing important characters. I don't know who Bob Carter is though, so maybe, I guess?

hes a importasnt charecter but not a often ussed charecter 2 different things.
