im pulling for son goku to join, him and luffy do some great combo attacks when they meet. Like gomu gomu no ka me ha me ha
The next new Nakama? Part 2
-
-
You know this is a horrid theory but what about if ace were to join after being rescued? my friend adam ( an ace cosplayer but straw hat supporter) was hoping for that
-
i just realice something, luffy need to pass through Enies lLobby once again to get to Impel Down, thats a first time that he go back to a place
-
He went back to Water 7.
-
not the same thing and you know it
-
not the same thing and you know it
That comment was better for the chap thread. How is different anyway?
There's a lot of posts in here that don;t got nothing to do with the topic smh.
-
well going back to water 7 was just after less than 1 day, he will be back to enies lobby after several weeks(i think) and several islands not mentioning that it will be a completly diferent enies lobby from the one they leave
-

It hasn't been several weeks. If they do in fact go to EL it'll be a little over a week from when Luffy was last there. Do the math from how much time they spent in TB, then SA, then on AL. Time difference doesn't matter anyway really. He went back regardless.
-
What's this about Enies? I was under the impression they're just taking the current that goes past it, as it does for Impel and Marinefold(?). I don't think they actually have to go near it to get to Impel.
My thoughts? Either Margaret joins, or no one will. Boa just won't; this "love sickness" screams temporary plot point, and regardless of how it turns out, I'm positive it won't lead to her joining the crew. Margaret, on the other hand, has been a main focal point throughout the arc, including the latest chapter. If she gets more development, and if that snake doesn't throw things off (obviously, nothing has come of characters with pets as of yet), I could definitely see her on the team. But like I said, if not her, than no one so far.
-
^that is wrong , they can only enter the current by the doors of justice that is why Enies Lobby was so important and why they can only enter Impel down and the marine fort by it, i only mention it cause it was kinda related with the a new member from impel down
ok moving on is obvios that margaret will stay on AL, she is not a pirate so she would only be on Boa`s ship if she ask luffy to go with them, on that case he would had to ask boa for that, and that is not posible
can this hot girl come with us =)
unless she is willing to ¨share¨ luffy with margaret she wont accept her
and i dont think she will be very willing to -
But from the map, it looked like each of the 3 areas has their own set of doors; they stay closed for all but Marine ships, and everything else shoots right past them along the current. I'm not too familiar with the W7/EL arc, so enlightenment might do me some good.
And I can't quite understand what you're trying to say about Margaret. ^_^;
-
look at the 61 page map
there are currents that make the ship move faster from EL to ID, and those same curents are block from the sides and make the ships take a longer rute if the doors are closed
that is why it would take more time moving in a non-marine shipi just edited the margaret part
-
ok moving on is obvios that margaret will stay on AL
No it's not.
she is not a pirate so she would only be on Boa`s ship if she ask luffy to go with them, on that case he would had to ask boa for that, and that is not posible
This is all your opinion. Marge can sneak on the ship if she really wants to help Luffy out. Seeing as Hancock is saying yes to any of Luffy's request she would say yes if he asked anyway. So no you're wrong it is possible.
can this hot girl come with us =)
unless she is willing to ¨share¨ luffy with margaret she wont accept her
and i dont think she will be very willing toI think you're jumping to conclusions and making a wild assumption on what Hancock would think if asked.
Maybe you should wait until next week to see what happens since they should be leaving in that chap. Unless Oda switches scenes somewhere else.
-
@Zik:
No it's not.
This is all your opinion.well in my defence pretty much all post are each persons opinion
but you are right there is still chance to margaret to go in the boat but see it like this
to go in the boat you need to be a kuja pirate or luffy, so if margaret goes it had to be by joining the kuja pirates, which could disqualify her to join luffy, or she wont board the ship, then she wont join luffy for sure
-
to go in the boat you need to be a kuja pirate or luffy, so if margaret goes it had to be by joining the kuja pirates, which could disqualify her to join luffy, or she wont board the ship, then she wont join luffy for sure
I know I said she could always sneak on the ship.
Even if Luffy asked Hancock if she could come and she said yes it wouldn't mean Marge is now part of the Kuja pirates. Clearly there can be exceptions like lets say if Nyon decided to go on the trip as well.
-
i think that for sure Nyon will go cause she was the last empress so she is/was part of the kuja in some complicated way, she will be the one to teach the haki to luffy, Hancock could do it but it seems more logic that Nyon will do it better and hancock will just help him or maybe both will train him
i dont think she will sneak, it feels unnesesary to do it, but if she is invited to be on the ship she should or will more likely to be invited to the kujas aswell dont you think
but lets just see what happens next week
-
i dont think she will sneak, it feels unnesesary to do it, but if she is invited to be on the ship she should or will more likely to be invited to the kujas aswell dont you think
If she knows only Kuja pirates are allowed to leave the island and she knows theres no reason for her to be asked to go with them unless Luffy does ask and she really does want to help Luffy she could sneak on the ship. Since that would basically be the only way for her to be able to help and at the same time nobody stopping her from doing it. By the time they find out she's on the ship it's to late to turn around. It's called being a stowaway.

Why the fuck does eveyone one think margaret is guna be the new nakama!!?
She has minor character written all over her!! Wow luffy saved her life so what!!! He's saved alot of peoples lives does'nt exactly mean they automatically wanted to join his crew!! And she has showed no significant use so far to even warrant an invitation to become a strawhat!!
Boa Hancock imo is guna be the next nakama!!

It's called wishful thinking. Very powerful thing that.
Simply because she's cute as a button.

Conis, Camie and Paulie were minor is well if your calling Magaret minor.
-

Really? Because when I hear Wishful Thinking I don't think the end result is pretty. Mainly because I think it holds doubt, like a cup of water with salt in it. chuckles
Conis, Camie and Paulie were minor is well if your calling Magaret minor.
They are minor characters. Major-Minor, but still Minor. No box at her introduction… Conis, Caime, and Paulie had one, she didn't...

That means nothing. Did every SH get a info box when they were introduced?
-
We've discussed about that. SHs did except for Zoro I believe.
-
Luffy got two; one in the past, one when he was grown up and left his village.
Zoro didn't get one.
Nami got one in the second chapter of her appearance.
Usopp got one.
Sanji got one.
Chopper got one before we knew he had a Devil Fruit, and was identified only as Kureha's pet.
Robin had one only as Ms. All Sunday.
Franky didn't get one until he showed up to fight Luffy sans mask.
And Brook had one.Serously, I would use a characters actions to determine their importance, not the existence of an intro box. If we went by just that, Zoro would be the least important character in the series.
In short: Existance of Info Box =/= Character Importance.
-
My theory was that the first member and the last member wouldn't get a box.
-
@Kuso:
My theory was that the first member and the last member wouldn't get a box.
what? why in the fuck would oda even do that.
-
what? why in the fuck would oda even do that.
I guess he's basing that off of Zoro not having one.
-
Well it is just a thought, no need to a single line shit storm over it.
But then again why not? If everyone believes Oda planned most of the important keys at the start then this isn't really too far fetched. Then again a box shouldn't really decide who joins anyways.
I'm starting to think the box might interfere with something he wants us to see. They do block stuff.
-
the box thing is stupid, only luffy and shanks got a box on the firstchps, he may have omited zoro for some reason but sayingf that since the first didnt got it then the last one either is just rubbish and doesnot help to this matter
-
Since I think this upcoming arc will not involve the SHs that much and will be focused on Luffy, shichibukai, WB pirates, and the marines. I think it'll take to around the end of the arc when the crew comes for Luffy until Marge officially joins.
-
hey maybe one of the SH landed on Enies Lobby so luffy might not be completely alone then, but is a longshot
-
Oda wouldn't have the crew split up then have them come back that fast, other wise there wouldn't be a point.
-

…don't you think it's pretty clear Margaret won't join? I mean, in the party she was in the background. Consider this:
WITHIN AN ARC,
- Characters that are important at first, become less important over time.
= not joining (See: Conis, Coby) - Characters that start out important, continue to be important.
= joining? (See: Chopper, Gaimon, Caimie) - characters that start out not important, become important.
= joining? (See: Robin, Norland) - Characters that we're told are needed.
= JOINING. (See: Nami, Sanji, Franky, Chopper) - Foreshadowed characters.
= Joining. (See: Usopp, Brooke)
Margaret is category 1. -_-; obviously not joining.
The only sure way to tell if someone is joining is category 4 or 5. But category 1 is definitely not joining, see? - Characters that are important at first, become less important over time.

I grow tired of ppl always making up these patterns for how ppl join the crew that may fit but are not fact. You can't say definitively how Oda goes about having someone join. (LMAO @ Norland, he was dead for years).
Marge joining could just be more of a surprise similar to Franky in a way.
- Characters that are important at first, become less important over time.
-
For the record, she actually wasn't in the party panels at all.
Personally, whether Marguerite joins or not, I don't think Oda is done with her since he bothered to keep her around for the ''They're going to kill my brother.'' reveal, when he could easily done it without her. Oda has pulled some stuff with seemingly minor characters before, Ms. Wednesday and Garp come to mind, and seeing how Oda has just introduced a brand new plot, I find it very presumptious to make statements like X character will not do anything until certain events unfold in the manga.
Man, I really hope that this week's chapter gives us more productive stuff to discuss/argue.
-
- Characters that are important at first, become less important over time.

 They didn't become less important over the time, especially Coby, how the hell did you get to that conclusion?
You can't categorize it. Just… no. There can be a new way for the next nakama to join. It's not like there is a rule to follow the same pattern.
I still believe that Margaret will help Luffy rescue Ace. There would be plenty room for us to know her better.
- Characters that are important at first, become less important over time.

Going by this, characters like Donovan (needed) and Rayleigh (foreshadowed) would join, while characters like Robin and Zoro wouldn't join. Robin wasn't important before she joined Besides, if characters start out as not important and become important are to join, then half or CP9 would be Strawhat's by now…
Point: There is no specific pattern that shows whether a character is joining or not.
- Characters that are important at first, become less important over time.

ok this pattern sucks and i know of sucky patterns, i made them alot and i think you meant Norland decendant
actually the only slightly good pattern is the needed one, when luffy said ¨i need a musician, a carpenter a navigator, etc he gets one, but lately he hasnt had the need of one specific job , but also he never needed a sniper or a arqueologist on the first place so this still sucks
- Characters that are important at first, become less important over time.
-
i think the joining logic is plainly based on free will.
as far as luffy is concerned he would instantly let anyone (or anything) join, that makes him sparkle or that seems unique to him. good people are also welcome, as well as people he needs (filling positions in his crew).
we already have a captian/chump,
a swordsman/first mate/lost guy,
a navigator/weather forecaster/hottie(beach bun)/coward,
a sniper/hero/coward/liar,
a cook/pervert,
a doctor/pet/emergency food/coward,
an achiologist/intellectual/hottie(gothic),
a carpenter/cyborg/dancer/weirdo and
a musician/skelleton/swordsman/comedian- a ship/lion/sunflower/garden
even supposedly bad people like hacchi can win luffy over within a short amount of time, so the only ones he would never let him join are true villians as well as weirdos he doesn't really like a.k.a. foxy pirates.
why i see that you can never have enough hotties on one crew (especially cause there are so many different kinds), from this whole collection the only thing that this crew is still missing is a geezer/alien as well as any foreign object that ate a devils fruit.
in my oppinion the geezer tree from thriller bark would have been the best damn thing that ever happened to the crew because he would have filled the geezer part as well as some extra vegetable (i know it's "plant" but i find it more funny that way ^^)… but well, he's dead now and he will never return :weep:so, at this point anyone from amazon lilly is free to join luffy's prison break (temporarily)cause his crewnumber is atm reduced to 1 but he will not ask anyone to join up with him because it's too dangerous. the only 2 women cappable of becoming permanent crewmembers on luffys ship are of course margarete and hancock because they serve the purpose of hottie(amazon) and margarete would also serve ranger/pure innocence, while i don't like the idea of hancock joining because she could screw up the entire storytelling of one piece. she's overpowered = can turn ppl to stone + king haki (which could make contacts and fights with hostile characters just boring) and a love affair or one sided love towards luffy isn't exactly what i'd like to see either.
to get to the point:
characters who join the SH Crew have to have a goal which is more likely to be achieved by joining the crew and they must want to join the strawhat pirates.
that is the only logic there is in One Piece recruiting.for hancock that goal is being with luffy as well as going against the world government.
for margaret it could simply be seeing the world with her own eyes.
and there is still a chance that we'll get to know more about other amazons who could possibly join.
...but i'm still waiting for my ancient alien object with the "walky talky no mi"
(which just refers to the object being able to walk and talk by df powers) -
^Hold your breath on the alien lol.
A geezer could work but ofcourse I think Oda would put his own spin on it and it wouldn't just be an old guy. And yea I know it won't be a regular old guy but I'm saying it probably wouldn't be the typical JUMP old guy(Roshi, Jirayai, Yammatto, da old guys from HXH, etc.). I'm thinking extra special old guy.
Maybe with an energy DF, so he ages slowly(basically Wolverine from a look perspective). So he's old but doesn't look it or something weird like that, completely unexpected
Then again I don't know what overall look Oda has for the completed crew so an old guy may not even be included. I mean there are only two spots left.
Something came to me as for why Hancock won't join.
- I don't think Oda will go to the length to have two ppl in the crew have king haki.
- I think save my prediction for Marge there won't be anymore DF users joining the crew unless Oda has some crazy ass unique power up his sleeve.
- Hancock's failure as a character annoys me
-
Didn't Oda say in an SBS that Brook was the grandpa of the crew, just like how Zoro is the eldest son and Robin is the mother?
-
Didn't Oda say in an SBS that Brook was the grandpa of the crew, just like how Zoro is the eldest son and Robin is the mother?
Exactly. I always got a sort of creepy(in a funny way) old guy vibe from brook. He's like an embarrassing old grandpa, what with his old fashioned clothes and polite way of talking while asking to see girls panties.
-
Didn't Oda say in an SBS that Brook was the grandpa of the crew, just like how Zoro is the eldest son and Robin is the mother?
I'm just blanking out. I completely forgot how old Brook is. His jovial, comical attitude at times says otherwise but I'm forgetting he's the typical perverted crazy old man that makes terrible stale jokes(well his are hilarious).
Well then forget what I said then. If Marge happens to not join then I'm guessing a genius to join the crew, not to copy but a gifted kind of person like Death from Soul Eater or a long shot character similar to L from Death Note.
Then we need a big guy like a huge lummox but not goofy and stupid since Luffy has that locked down. Maybe he can be the huge genius. I dunno. If you read a lot of mangas you know the types I'm talking about….......
-
giant who can cahnge size at willa gone to join
-
you're right, brook is a geezer i totally forgot about that, too. what's he like… 50?
but i refer to one that looks like a geezer and acts like it too... forgetting stuff all the time and aches here and there...typical thing... + being alien of course... and an item of great use :P ... your stardard crewmate ^^
a giant with a shrinking fruit would also be great! one that can shrink to the size of an ant + keeping his strenght or even increasing it cause he ate the ant-fruit and can lift 10 or 100 times his own body weight. (although luffy is partailly the reverse thing and chopper does some shrinking from time to time, too)
or a fishman that could camouflage (naturally)... and you get to see some real weird underwater weed/vegetables on land when he hides XD
-
Im Sorry but you all know this is true.
They Still need:
the Captain's SLUT.
i.e Hancock.
-
I rather see Margarett join than Boa.
Her design is more unique.
