RE: Chapter 779: "Final Fight"
Pirates are simply the new justice.

RE: Chapter 779: "Final Fight"
20 pages in less than 12 hours, you guys have been pretty damn fast lately.

RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
@Galaxy:
It kinda is when it requires the person to leave people they care about.
We've gotten it with…
Usopp, Sanji, Nami, Chopper, and Franky, and technically Brook (finally having a funeral for his crew and remembering his promise).
The rest didn't have the people to say farewell to.
Yeah I know that, just wondering what everyone's stance was on the subject.
-
RE: Next Strawhat Crewmate (Vol. 6)
So an emotional farewell is required to join the strawhats?
-
RE: Chapter 778: Tactics No.5
I didn't even think about that, where was Fujitora at when everyone on the plateau were almost flattened to a pancake?
-
RE: Chapter 778: Tactics No.5
Goku's Flying Cloud wasn't that cool.
Flying Nimbus was pretty cool before he became superman.
-
RE: Chapter 778: Tactics No.5
The main event is almost upon us. I predict Doffy will be Luffy toughest 1 on 1 fight to date.
Wonder what the fight will consist of considering he needed Laws power to even get a proper punch to connect.
-
RE: Chapter 778: Tactics No.5
People said the King Punch would somehow make Zoro fly but it ended up being the Admiral guy no one cares about.
-
RE: Chapter 777: Zoro Vs. Pica
Still… it is getting old now.
This whole entire arc is getting old.
I will wait until the arc is over, when we will know everything about his motivation, and then I will explain why it sucks. Unless he really is the best Machiavellan ever.
Maybe that's just Ramen Justice.. no but in all seriousness if we do get an explanation it probably will suck if Oda couldn't just give us a reasonable explanation by now.
-
RE: Chapter 777: Zoro Vs. Pica
Which Lil B song is that quote from?
Honestly I can't remember for the life of me and Google doesn't seem to know either, back when I was compiling his Discography I listened to every song a few times to make sure I didn't have 2 of the same tracks, and that's when I heard that verse.
-
RE: Chapter 777: Zoro Vs. Pica
Pica-chu is back at it again killing god knows how many citizens with each step.
And Zoro better fly like a saiyan next chapter.

RE: Chopper's forms
It's become more and more apparent that the only thing Mihawk is interested in is a good swordfight.
Mihawk is a sword-nerd. That's it. He doesn't keep secrets, just he doesn't get that many fights worth bringing out the big stuff.
He has no use in ruling, no desire for treasure (unless it's sword related) and no real need for company. He lives on an abandoned island and travels in a one man ship.
His friendship with Shanks seems entirely one of familiarity that there was a guy who he could go to get a good practise fight in now & then.
He accepted shichibukai status purely to escape certain beauracratic annoyances to his hobby, like cutting a small town or two up during a duel and having the navy chase him for it. That's about it for his political opinions.
He destroyed DonKriegs fleet because he was annoyed & maybe there'd be at least one person on board to give him a decent duel.
He was the first warlord at Paramount to make a move and it was purely out of interest at how strong Whitebeard was.
Sword-nerd. It's kind of refreshing having such a monomaniac wandering around the OP world.I love Mihawk's character, personality, design and the overall freedom in his piracy no structure to his methods other then what peaks his interest, just wish his interests were some more awesome panel time to show his collective skills and what makes him one of the very best at his art. I like what has been presented but want more similar to how a kid wants more sugar.

RE: Chopper's forms
Sometimes I just don't understand Oda's thought process when he establishes characters in his story, such as Mihawk who's dubbed the greatest, well I suppose.. the greatest current swordsmen but we haven't seen him thus far show his true swordsmanship skills and its like he keeps it secret for some future purpose that doesn't really seem to mean much as it stands right now. It wasn't as apparent way back when the series was still in its early stages/phases but its just been on my mind lately… wait this isn't even a question but more a realization, well what ever just hope Oda delivers on some of our long awaited questions that don't even have a foreseeable future insight. Also doesn't Oda always seem to handle certain characters in the same regard?
--- Update From New Post Merge ---
So you just want Oda to show you what this man can do right about now…. Using that Logic I can say that I'm more impressed by Hancock than Shanks, but we all know what Shanks is capable of, right
True dat, but I just wish we could see some execution for once instead of the mystery that we're left with that just feels a bit stagnant.

RE: Chapter 776: The Colosseum Hero
@Mr0:
I disagree, Darth has some very interesting views on the series, and discusses them with great depth and good arguments. But his views are often quite controversial I'll give you that ^^
His ideas are always an enjoyable read to me at least.its always fun to read but generally just seems kinda pointless for the other party involved.
-
RE: Chapter 776: The Colosseum Hero
The impression is that they are nothing special. Blame lies on Oda for not allowing them to score any points during this arc.
Oda portrayed an event in which Kyros managed to overpower Diamante with his sheer strength of resolve, but only thing I saw is an exhausted one legged guy who got shot in that same leg and got hit by multiple steel spiked balls win against Diamante with the power of asspull.
All I saw was a guy who deserved to win regardless of how it was achieved so I'm fine with the result.
-
RE: Chapter 776: The Colosseum Hero
Ahh you were hit with the Autocorrect stick.
Yup its evil, when I type Luffy out on my phone it always wants to correct it as Fluffy for some reason.
-
RE: Chapter 776: The Colosseum Hero
I probably give Darth more time than most people around here do.
Because it's not worth the time energy and processing power to do so.
-
RE: Chapter 775: Love for Lucien
Maybe even Leo's magical stitches and gum drop kisses might fix his arm.
-
RE: Official Dressrosa Thread
Personally I'd like it if it were 20 chapters or so before the arc is over.
-
RE: 681: ''The Five-Hundred Million Bounty! Target: Usoland!"
After seeing the star reward posters I can only think that Doflamingo had a lot of fun messing around with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop
I think he had a string clone do it for him.
-
RE: Chapter 775: Love for Lucien
But how does someone find out his life is cut in half? like if that person is supposed to reach the age of 80, dies at 40, how would people guess its because of the devil fruit? wouldn't it be more normal to assume he just died instead of saying its because of the fruit?
I don't know but that's a good question that I don't think will ever be properly answered.
-
RE: Official Dressrosa Thread
Just thinking about some shit the anime has pulled gives me a bad taste in my mouth.
-
RE: Chapter 775: Love for Lucien
What is there not too understand? He's an angry sack of shit whose childhood didn't exactly go the way he wanted it to. I started One Piece at Thriller Bark, moved on to Enies Lobby, and then worked my way back. A lot of the things can be revealed about the characters without needing the full picture. The complete picture is a reader's bonus, but is not always necessary to enjoying the story.
I agree he's just another villain with a cool design and a good back story to boot.
-
RE: Post Your Pics: Part Quattuor
Me wondering just who the hell am I in the mirror lol
-
RE: Chapter 773: Half and Half
Chicken head ftw
Great way to start the year its just getting more and more interesting
-
RE: Chapter 772: Cabbage & Romeo
BTW, if Don Chinjao has emperor haki and still was "fodder" to Lao G and Sai, I can't believe that Zoro and possibily Sanji still don't have emperor's ???
He isn't fodder at all just old and tired out.
-
RE: Chapter 772: Cabbage & Romeo
Sanji can be 3000 dorikis and Zoro 3100 Dorikis. Only 100 dorikis of difference.
We only need to know how many Hakubas are equal to 1 doriki to get the real difference between those two.:ninja:
Only an Hakuba can equal that of a Hakuba the rest is all hearsay.
-
RE: Official Dressrosa Thread
Furry… nahh I strongly doubt that one unless your statement counts as the first
-
RE: The Great New World Discussion Thread
Sure I do know how gear second works yet Oda decided to make him use Gear Second only on arms/ legs at quite a few occasions.
For example first time after timeskip here! [qimg]http://z.mfcdn.net/store/manga/106/61-601.0/compressed/q012.jpg[/qimg]
Just his arm get "steamy".
On other hand he looked like using Fullbody Gear Second first time against Doflamingo here
With steam comming out of his mouth.
I guess that fullbody Gear Second is as much of a strain to body as it was before timeskip if used in same way for long period of time on entire body.
Its like Lucci said that Luffys body was not used to G2/ couldnt keep up.
So now I am not sure either Luffy now can use it on his whole body for short time like he did agains Doflamingo or Smoker here! [qimg]http://i6.mangareader.net/one-piece/670/one-piece-3353543.jpg[/qimg] without any cost so to say or he is avoiding using gear second because now it mostly gets boost in speed and not in power as Luffys body became far stronger on its own so I guess it doesnt work like stronger body-stronger gear second but also has its own limitations.
Otherwise if Luffy would become as strong as admiral/ yonko without gear second being used then with it he would left behind literally everybody in One Piece world.
New World is dangerous place. Without proper haki and fighting abilities when you meet up with deadly logia that can take away oxygen from air, spread poison and is not bad fighter - Casars speed was shown to blitz Ussop and Nami in Sanjis body, he was so fast that they had no time to react.
So yes Cesar is a threat thanks to his ability.
Isn't that kinda messed up just cause your fruit you do have an advantage over others by default I mean he obviously trained to be better but still and now here's more or less a comedy relief character but he could take out some of the best in the OP universe if he caught them off guard kinda similar to Magellan.

RE: Oda's Interviews
You know I wonder when Oda actually planned to bring Bellamy back.
It'd be pretty neat if he had this idea back in his head when writing Jaya.I think that quote applys to Bellamy more so then Moria, I've always liked Bellamy and he's shining more then ever giving even Luffy a surprise.
-
RE: Oda's Interviews
So Oda says he doesn't put any message in what he draws but we all know that's some ol' bullshit.
-
RE: Oda's Interviews
Greed island was pretty cool, but i thought this thread was about Oda's interviews.
-
RE: Chapter 772: Cabbage & Romeo
Hey Darth you changed your avatar, I like it
Well guess we have awhile till we get a new chapter so what y'all think I should pick up and read?
-
RE: Chapter 772: Cabbage & Romeo
If she could hold her ground with Diamante then it would be different but she cant. Speaking of heartless I bet we have plenty of them on this board.
-
RE: Chapter 772: Cabbage & Romeo
Man that panel with Cavendish's foot in Bartolomeo's face was just priceless. I feel sorry for Dellinger he was fodderized so quickly
-
RE: Chapter 771: Sai, Leader of the Happou Navy
I'm just spoiled from the last few years cliffhangers. A chapter about Sai and Baby 5 just doesn't leave me with the same excitement unfortunately.
That's perfectly understandable but I kinda like these new characters and their trails and tribulations.
-
RE: Chapter 771: Sai, Leader of the Happou Navy
I don't get it either maybe trying to be funny.. but I'm high right now and maybe magi was to.
-
RE: Chapter 771: Sai, Leader of the Happou Navy
Why can't Zoro get some main boss love like help Luffy take out Doffy some combo attacks would be fun to witness.
-
RE: Chapter 771: Sai, Leader of the Happou Navy
I hope I'm alive to read the end of berserk also….
Sadly I don't think anyone is gonna live long enough to see the end of Berserk.
-
RE: Favorite Donquixote Officer
So many votes for Baby 5 makes me a bit disappointed in some of you guys either way I voted for Lao G he deserves better from this forum.
-
RE: Favorite Old Wrong Theories
Oh my god this thread was hilarious "I think Sabo is a collection of all the mothers inside of a single person. Think about it… (S)carlett, (A)ce's mom, (B)ell-mère, (O)tohime: SABO. Sabo will defeat Big Mom and become the supreme Mom (after Ivankov changes him)." Fucking gold.
Oh I remember that one pretty funny in my opinion.
Edit: I mean who the hell comes up with a theory like that lol
-
RE: Chapter 771: Sai, Leader of the Happou Navy
Come on hes answered that question 100 times already
-
RE: Chapter 771: Sai, Leader of the Happou Navy
@TJB:
Nah, I figured it out… he's checking out Baby 5
Are you sure? Because if anything he seems sad that she's not a female bear.
-
RE: Chapter 771: Sai, Leader of the Happou Navy
@TJB:
Bepo looks a bit depressed on that character poll eh? Clearly not enough votes.
Guess it means Oda really likes the character and so do I
