The new design it's…....
I don't know. I don't know yet.
But it is a step up from that god awful spinner belt.
When Rock swung it up to his shoulder, I was terrified he was going to poke his eye out. XD
It's definitely better than the spinner, though it does have some design issues; someone online mentioned it looked more like a graduation ring than a world championship.
I like the overall shape and design, but dislike the continued overuse of rhinestones; they can keep the red ones, but the 'diamonds' can just be silvery accents. I'm undecided if I like the matte black background behind the WWE logo or would like something else, like more gold…I also want to know if the bull heads will stay on the belt once The Rock is gone again.
@RobbyBevard:
Well, the cast and the voices are returning, but its not going to be quite the same. its going to be more heavily geared towards the comedy apparently.
This is what annoys me about the 'return' of the show; the original Teen Titans cartoon was plenty funny, and had the action/drama to even it out. But to have it all be comedy/randomness…I don't think it will be as good as people are hoping. Frankly, I think there's enough "randomness is funny!" cartoons out there; we need more cartoons that have that balance of action and fun.
And yet again, Jaime proves just how damn amazing he is. I love this boy so freaking much, for so many reasons. <3
Meanwhile, Mal steps up and kicks ass without actually kicking any ass. I dunno what the hell is going up with Karen, but I wanna smack her for being such a jerk to Mal.
God, I'm suddenly feeling very sorry for La'Gaan right now. He gets captured and experimented on, and now his girlfriend won't return his calls (and may potentially be cheating on him GodIhopenot).
The Reach Negotiator is exactly as much of an asshole as I'd hoped he'd be. He's perfect, and it'll make his eventual defeat so much better.
I'm eager to see the MetaGen's start with their powers, and curious as to which characters might have been the ones Virgil 'never saw again' after The Reach didn't like their developing powers (if Richie was one of them, so help me)…
9 episodes left. This is killing me.
There's a part of me that thinks part 1 would have been an appropriate end to Motorcity. It's not so much the "to be continued", but more on ending on a note of despair/Kane winning etc. that's hilarious to me.
But sadist in me aside and despite my issues/flaws with the series, it was a good show. Deserved a second season at the very least.
"The part of Abraham Kane will now be played by Disney Corporation." Heh.
But yeah, I just can't see Disney letting the bad guys win at the end of a show. It's a good thing Titmouse planned this finale assuming it may be THE end, more than just AN end; they've been burned enough times, now they're playing smart. Meanwhile, PoM on Tumblr said that Vega was 'child's play' compared to tonight's episode. I'm not sure what to make of that.
All shows have flaws, and Motorcity is no different. Would it have been different if Titmouse had their way, with more of a running plotline? Yes, but then again, if Titmouse had their way Mike Chilton would have been a very different protagonist as well. Even if it would mean getting another season and more backstory, I wouldn't change the characters I've come to know for the world.
What I DO know is that I've decided to marathon Motorcity tonight before the finale; I figure if I start around 7pm EST, I'll be done right around 12-12:30am. This cold's gonna keep me up anyway, I might as well do SOMETHING worthwhile, right?
We have roughly 12 hours left until Finale, Part 2: A Better Tomorrow airs, and Motorcity ends. I really wish I'd discovered this series sooner; not two weeks after starting to watch, I found it wasn't renewed by Disney. Didn't even get to delve into the fandom before it started slowing down.
At least I now know iTunes Canada has the episodes up for sale, so I can support the show in it's final moments. We still have four unaired episodes to go…
For the record, tonight's episode marks the beginning of the end. Finale Pt 1: Vega premieres tonight at 12:30am!
I'm a little disappointed that they never really planned to develop Texas. The only Burner with less cards up there is Dutch, but at least he received some backstory and character relationships. I always figured that Texas would have some interesting backstory and/or growth since he's both very unBurner-like and relatively unskilled.
That's what hit me here too, but the one real story with him could be some actual development if they went that way. "Actual gang of Texans are offended by 'Texas' (who actually doesn't know anything about the state)". Say that he's is forced by this gang to renounce the name, or change how he acts to reflect it better; if Texas can't be Texas, then who is he?
As for unskilled, I like to think that Texas is the only Burner to have been born and raised in Motorcity (his comment about the Mama's Boys 'messing with him for years' cemented this for me). He's no good with the technical stuff, but he definitely knows how to smash bots; maybe he was fighting Kane's bots even before he was a Burner? Or he would have been a guide to the city for the others (maybe Mike right after his defection from Kane?) before they got to know their way around Motorcity.
Meanwhile, I think that whole "Tooley is Texas without the imagination" card isn't quite right: IMO, Tooley is at least a couple levels below Tex in terms of intelligence. After all, "Texas is intelligent (okay, maybe not in an obvious way, but let's not nitpick)."
I wanna see those Dar episodes ideas too, where he acts as another insider for the Burners (discovering the truth about Julie? YES PLEASE) or bugs Dutch to come down to Motorcity; I could see him getting along with Ruby.
Chris Pyronski and George Krystic tweeted these two images of some Motorcity: Seaosn 2 storyboarding they'd done before Disney pulled the plug. A glimpse at some of what might have been:
!
! And a close up of the character stories side of the board:
!
No close up of the green "Villains" side of the board, but I can make out "More mutants", "Car Thief", "Used Car Salesman", "Kane-Funded Gang" and "Robot Gang" over there, as well as "Fire Trucks", "Motorcycles", "Party Bus", "Dune Buggies" and "Construction Vehicles" in the pink "Vehicle" section.
There is so much on here I would have loved to see…the fact that one card just has "TEXAS" on it amuses me deeply, and makes me wonder just what that card meant to the Titmouse gang. Also, the Mike story cards; dealing with his family/history, Jacob as a new father-figure, accepting not everyone in Motorcity likes what the Burners are doing, why he and Chuck are so close...AUUUUUUUUUUGH.
And for those going O_o at the "Julie is an Android" card, one of the people at Titmouse said that idea had been canned even before Season 2 was.
I just want Bolin to get some character development in the new season; he started out so promising, and then he was relegated to the odd guy out during the Asami/Mako/Korra triangle.
It was said he's leading a new (and less impressive) Fire Ferrets team, right? Have him train to get stronger, or develop into a great leader in a fight. Something.
Sadly it seems that Marvel will never catch up to DC when it comes to their animated shows
Actually, they may catch up eventually considering all the hiatuses the DC cartoons get stuck with…
They never should have done that Edge/Lita/Matt Hardy storyline, for a few reasons.
But hey, for that matter, why do so many Diva 'storylines' have to involve being a Superstar's eye candy/girlfriend/manager? Why can't they just have feuds of their own, like most of the guys do?
Ugh, I need to stop analyzing this AJ garbage, it makes me want to hit someone with a chair (preferably the WWE writers). I need to focus on something else.
…Hm, I wonder how long JTG's been in the WWE?
Is it just me, or does WWE have absolutely zero idea on what to do with AJ?
They don't know what to do with any of the Divas, really; AJ's just the one we're seeing at the forefront. They should've kept her as the RAW GM for a longer period of time, instead of going right back hot-potatoing her between superstars.
…Yep, definitely back to raging over this stupid storyline.
Tuned out during the last match, missed who the new brick wall on the block is.
…Ah, Big E. Langston. He was an NXT star.
No wonder I didn't recognize him.
That's not the issue I have with Steve (well, not in EMH-verse, anyway). It just…it felt like the writers were trying to make up for the lack of Captain America in the beginning of the season (when he was a Skrull prisoner) by making him a major focus in everything after. Even when he didn't need to be.
I understand the character wanting to redeem himself to the Avengers (and the world) after Skrull!Cap, but the Spiderman episode would have been more than enough for that, and Code Red/Winter Soldier was a good closure to his story. Heck, Prisoner of War was more than enough good Cap moments for the whole season.
We didn't need him to be the major force behind Vison's change of heart, or saving The Hulk. He didn't have to be the first Avenger to be broken of Purple Man's control (though the Cap/Tony fight was good, we can keep that). There was so much potential in those moments/episodes for other characters.
I'm still waiting for my HBK cameo, damn it. Do I have to wait until closer to WM, when he gets involved in a Triple H feud?
EDIT: Oooh, Owen Hart shoutout during a Slammy night. Me like.
I don't hate John Cena; he entertains me, even though he's not my favorite wrestler in the ring. I just don't think he should have gotten the Superstar of the Year Slammy, irregardless of fan voting or storyline progression.
Team Hell No better get LOL Moment…
EDIT: ...Okay, that was worth Hell No not winning. Kane is actually the (kinda) stable one on the team, I love it!
And now I want Rock to show up on RAW soon, sneak up on Santino and ask for his Slammy.
…Dammit, I was actually almost sorta okay with the AJ/Vicki/John/Dolph storyline. And then they pull this stuff out. Time to go back to being angry/unimpressed.
Also, they completely wrecked Flair's big return there.
And of course John Cena is Superstar of the Year. Quel suprise.
But at least Kofi won OMG Moment of the Year with his Royal Rumble save, and we got to see his new awesome t-shirt.
EDIT: Oh God, are they really doing this schmatlz with Ric and John? And now Punk coming out to spout annoying crap?
The only thing about season 3 that really annoyed me was the episode "The Deadliest Man Alive", where Hulk is set up and Red Hulk joins the Avengers. Specifically, the fact that Hawkeye didn't defend The Hulk.
Hawkeye: the one Avenger Hulk was clearly good friends with throughout the show! And not only that, it looks like Clint helped vote Red Hulk onto the team! Not to mention Janet 'I like pretty much everyone' Dyne condemning the Hulk too.
But noooooo; they had to make Cap look good. Never mind all the other episodes post Skrull-Invasion that made him look good…
Films need to earn roughly twice their production budget to cover advertising costs and the percentage that goes to theater owners so it really needs to reach about 290M before they can really start thinking about turning a profit off of it.
Well, I learned something today. For some reason I thought advertising was included in the production budget…
Now I'm sad for RotG all over again.
$90 million earned overseas have gotten RotG to $153.4 million total in the box office, meaning it's actually making money now (production budget was #145 million). It even beat Skyfall in the international box office last week. Still, it's a big disappointment here in North America, and now The Hobbit is due to come out…
Even if it wasn't the commercial hit Dreamworks was wanting, I'm fully expecting them to give it the same treatment they've given their bigger films (Monsters vs. Aliens, Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda and How To Train Your Dragon). Namely, holiday specials; if you can make a Christmas special with freaking Madagascar, I'd hope they'd do something with a villain suited for Halloween, the Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus himself.
Ahhhhhhh, I've missed happy-crazy!AJ so much. All this drama with her has been no fun; she needs to be bouncy!
But what's that fuzzy caterpillar doing on Cody's upper lip?
Another interesting tweet:
The usual hashtags, this time with a link going to a report stating that Valve is planning to release its own PC-like console. They're hoping to have hardware later in 2013.
And a reminder to everyone in the USA that a new episode, "The Robo-Roundup", is playing Sunday night/Monday morning @ Midnight EST. Last night they played the leaked episode "Julie and the Amazons".
Meanwhile, Canada is getting "Julie and the Amazons" on Thursday December 20th @ 8:00PM EST, with "Robo-Roundup" (hopefully) coming the week after.
I love how we're all talking about these holiday drinks of preference, but no one's brought up Egg Nog.
Guess I'm not the only one here weirded out by drinking what is essentially raw cake batter without the flour. No amount of booze in the world makes that okay for me.
So Canada basically keeps airing good shows from the United States while giving us things like Johnny Test and Scaredy Squirrel. Damnit, Canada.
Ah, but we get far LESS of your good shows up here, due to Canada's 'local content' media rules. The handful of Canadian shows you guys get? That's about how many American cartoons WE get. If you want a GOOD Canadian cartoon, go watch Detentionaire.
Besides, holiday specials get shown once a year. That doesn't count.
Let's get this back on track with A PowerPuff Girls Christmas.
@RobbyBevard:
And yet even if the reprints get all the way to the end with issue 70, its STILL going to end on the downer that was The Moon Eyes saga, without the finale epic Forever War.
Sigh.
Yeah, but I'll get back the Future Tense, Black Hole, United We Stand, and Blind Sight arcs. God have I missed those stories.
Honestly, I didn't even get to the end of the book back then; my grocery store stopped carrying TMNT Adventures after #61 with the story of Turtle Island and the end of the Terracide/Blind Sight stories. It may be a good thing in the end (NOOOOOOOOOOO, MY FIRST SHIP), but I regret never seeing the whole series through.
And who knows, maybe by the time they get all of Adventures into trades in a few years, Forever War may be in sight yet again. The original problem was Peter Laird selling TMNT to Viacom; with it, Mirage couldn't print any TMNT stuff that didn't happen in the Mirage Universe. But now Viacom has licensed the turtles to IDW for both selling old books (hence the Classics and Adventures reprints now out), and creating new ones (hence the IDW book). So. Maybe.
Nick could surprise us with how dark their TMNT will get; they threw me for a loop with the whole 'bloodbending' thing in Avatar, as well as how they ended the storyline for the antagonist in Legend of Korra. It may not be as intense as all that, but we're only 10 episodes into an assumed 52-episode run; there's plenty of time for dynamics to change with Shredder/Bradford/Xever, and darker moments for the turtles to endure.
I've never read the comics before. I may have to.
Well, obviously I recommend it! XD It's managed to shake up the universe just enough to make things new and interesting, without alienating the old-school fans (too much). Casey and April are younger, but that doesn't mean they're dumber; I think they're my favorite incarnations to date. The group dynamic is a little different (especially between Don and Leo), but it makes sense in how things are in the book.
If you want to check it out a bit before investing, I put up a rough synopsis/scans of the first four issues at Scans Daily. See if it catches your interest.
Speaking of Turtle comics, guess what I picked up today~?
!
The old Archie!TMNT comics are being released in trades!! The second comic series I ever followed religiously (after Sonic), and one I've been kicking myself for ever getting rid of. MY CHILDHOOD! :D
Also, CM Punk just had surgery on his knee and will be out for TLC, so Ryback will be teaming with Kane and Daniel Bryan to face The Shield.
That match seems horrendously one-sided, it's screaming "squash match"…So naturally, The Shield will get the win to cement their strength. XP
I don't know if anyone here reads/has read Axe Cop, but RugBurn, co-created by Titmouse Animation (MegasXLR, Metalocalpse, Motorcity) and Six Point Harness Animation are debuting a cartoon of it on their channel Dec 7th.
So about a month ago, I showed you guys a tweet regarding a potenial future for MegasXLR (and Disney's Motorcity, which is also ending after one season)
We got some more interesting tweets today from the creator, Chris Prynoski:
If you're wondering what the #RugBurn tag is all about, it refers to a Youtube Channel that was joint-created by Titmouse Animation and Six-Point Harness animation, and will be dedicated to….huh, animation. I'm shocked.
Things are getting more and more interesting here. Also, while I'm not a hard-core gamer, I would buy a Megas XLR and/or Motorcity online game is a freaking heartbeat.
EDIT: BTW, RugBurn is debuting an Axe Cop cartoon on their channel Dec 7th. In case anyone here knows about that webcomic.
More mysterious Twitter postings from Chris P regarding the future of Motorcity (and another loved cartoon of his):
I WOULD BUY THE SHIT OUT OF THIS GAME(S).
The last one I read was Issue #5 and Michelangelo focus issue. Local comic book shot took a shit and stopped getting comic books around April. Owner recently retired and sold the store to some fans who are running it as solely a tabletop gaming store. I've fallen behind on TMNT, Ghostbusters, Transformers and I guess Soulfire (I have no way of knowing if it continued, aside from looking it up…which I'll probably do after this post). I can only keep up with Sonic and Megaman because Barnes & Nobles and Toys R Us carries them.
Ugh, that sucks. Hard enough to find a decent comic shop, but when that sort of thing happens…
Since you're that far behind, it might be in your best interest to go with the trades. Vol 1 carries the first 4 issues, so you'd need Vol 2 (#5-8) and Vol 3 (#9-12) to catch up, as well as the Micro-Series trades (Vol 1 has the four turtle Micro's and Vol 2 features Splinter, Casey, April, and a character I don't dare spoil for you). Vol 4 (#13-16) of the regular series is coming out in February, and all of the prices seem pretty decent from what I figure.
You also missed the TMNT Annual back in October, written AND drawn by Kevin Eastman. It's supposedly going to be integral to a future plotline…
Oh, and BTW, a new Mini-Series starts later this month; TMNT: Secret History of the Foot Clan.
…Seriously Conekiller, I need someone to spaz out with over this comic. There's a lot to spaz out over.
Ah, Christmas Specials! How I love them. I always look forward to December 1st, when they start to hit full swing…Several of my favorites have already been mentioned, such as:
Here's a few other specials from my childhood (I don't even know if some of these were played in the US, LOL)
Winnie the Pooh and Christmas too
!
The Bears Who Saved Christmas
!
A Chipmunk Christmas (which I CANNOT find a full version of online! D<)
!
The Teddy Bears Christmas (totally different from the other one! LOL)
!
The Boy Who Dreamed Christmas
!
Christopher the Christmas Tree
!
! …Dammit, that is NOT the original ending! The whole 'President's personal tree' thing wasn't there in my version!
Yeah, to be honest I haven't been really watching for a few weeks now. I turn the TV on and watched the first hour seriously, but then I'd get bored and go on my computer with WWE playing in the background, only tuning in for certain characters.
On the plus side, TLC is 13 days away; hopefully this PPV brings the godawful Cena/AJ/Ziggler/Guerrero storyline to an end. Not to mention the Big Show/Sheamus feud, which has gotten pretty stale. The Punk/Heyman team needs to be shaken up too; those two working together should not be this dull!
On the other hand, putting Team Hell No and Kofi Kingston together last Friday was cheating; I can't ignore three of my favorite wrestlers working together! Plus adding Kofi's personality into Daniel and Kane's dynamic could be really fun in the long run; if they keep up with that 3-man tag scenario, I'll be forced to keep the TV on a little longer…
Dang, the next isssue of TMNT looks crazy.
Yep; 17 starts an arc a lot of the readers have been waiting on, and some surprising characters returning to a TMNT universe.
! We're going to be learning the truth about General Krang's plans, as well as the Turtles coming face to face with the Shredder.
! And the fun thing is the three humanoids on the cover are spot-on redesigns of Kala, Zak and Dask, three characters from the 80's cartoon. They're Neutrinos of Dimension X, which back then meant they wanted no part of war in any side, just to have fun. In the IDW comic, Neutrinos are a little different…
Ben Bates on TMNT!!!???
I effin love this guy's work! (geez I have to catch up >_< )
YES! I saw it mentioned online and did a double-take. Then I proceeded to fangirl like crazy, because I KNOW he'll be amazing on TMNT (and he can get away with a bit more here than with StH or Mega Man).
And yes, you do. I don't know where you are in the books, but it's been pretty freaking awesome lately. And considering how good the book was at the start, that's saying something.
Don't know if anyone else is reading it here, but IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is getting a new artist as of next month's #17, with Andy Kuhn handing over the reins to Ben Bates.
"Who is Ben Bates", you may ask? Not surprised if you haven't heard of him; he's pretty new to the industry, his first published work was last year. He's become well known to fans of the Sonic the Hedgehog/Mega Man comics series though, as he's worked on the two Archie titles since last year.
His style isn't as rough as Dan Duncan's or Andy Kuhn's, taking on a slightly more cartoonish look. But his lines, emotions and action dynamics are AMAZING. Want some proof of this? Check out his blog, this page with some TMNT sketches from last year, or this piece on his DevART page.
And here's his cover for #17:
!
I read Sonic the Hedgehog, and I saw his work for the series last year. I'M SO EXCITED YOU GUYS.

The Muppets and Christmas, you say?
"Shredded Wheat and cranberry sauce? My absolute favorite!"
BEST CHRISTMAS SPECIAL EVER! 8D
Seriously, I always make sure I watch this before Christmas. It was my favorite special growing up, and the season doesn't feel right without it.
My sister has decided to cosplay Jack for Anime North next year. I am not surprised. Nor will I be surprised when there are a half-dozen Jack Frosts running around in blue hoodies with painted 'frost' on them.
My friend decided to join her, going as Pitch. Again, not surprised at this/any other Pitches next May.
I want to join them, but guess which character is the only one I really want to dress as?
!
And they aren't trying to talk me out of it. They're saying they'll help me, even though they live 1-4 hours away from me and I see them maybe 6 times a year.
I'm actually considering it. I hate them so much. So much.
As for RotG's bad week 1 numbers, one site has written a piece on why this may not be as bad as expected in the long run.
New CeeLo Green (boo) Christmas song, starring the Muppets (YAY)!
I didn't expect to laugh at Pepe's bling, but they caught me off guard.
EDIT: Also, they're all supposed to be performing on TV tonight for the tree-lighting at Rockfeller.
Saw the movie last night; the 3D effect was good (especially during some sled/rabbit hole scenes), but isn't necessary. Personally, I really enjoyed the movie, and so did the audience judging from what I heard. Lots of funny moments where the whole theater was cracking up, and I had a tear in my eye a couple times, I must admit.
I see why people have issues with the movie's plot, and there were some scenes in it that I felt were too long (or unneeded). But to me, the characters themselves were the story more than the situation they were in. Who they are, what they stand for, why it's so important that they do what they do.
^ I'd watch it. XD
So Guardians is actually doing poorly? That's disappointing; I thought for sure people would be excited about it…but then again, it had Twilight to contend with too. Hopefully it'll pick up if some good buzz goes around (like with Hotel Transylvania).
BTW, has anyone seen the RofG commercial where we see all the VA's reciting a line with a cut screen of their character next to them?
ILU Hugh Jackman.
So there's a rumor going around that Dante Basco will be the voice of Casey Jones in season 2, despite no one can seem to find a source for this theory outside of the TMNT Wiki site (which is hardly credible).
Personally? I hope it's 100% fake.
Don't get me wrong, I love Dante as a voice actor. He's awesome! He's just…not what I wanted for Casey in the new Nick'toon. I keep trying to imagine Prince Zuko or Jake Long screaming out "GOONGALA!" - which Casey better use in the cartoon, btw - and my brain basically grinds to a halt. Nope. Can't do it, man. Not unless Dante completely shifts his style around for him.
The only way it might be fun is if Dante!Casey and Don become bros, and Casey actually helps him to hook up with April. Because then all the old Zutara fans from Avatar will rage because they were denied again (April's VA also voiced Katara in Avatar)...and yes, I have actually seen the comment of 'Zutara will finally happen!' floating around.
And since we're talking about him, I'll share some Casey from the new IDW comic. Because I love this comic (and IDW!Casey) bunches, and don't get to talk about it much:
! First, a little flashback from the Casey Micro issue (around issue #13):
! And now, Raph's (and our) first meeting with him in #1 and #2
!
!

Donnie and Leo have really been benefiting from this new show; its added depth to their characters that other toons haven't given them.
Donnie's been pretty much overlooked in all the TMNT shows; apart from the second movie and episodes like Same As It Never Was, he's always just been in the background as the quiet techie. In this version he's got a bit more attitude, getting exasperated by Mikey's energy and frustrated with Raph's sarcasm and 'punch first' attitude. He's smart and trying to find his own way to balance fighting with his brain and his fists. His crush on April is just an added scenario for him.
Leo, while not as overlooked as Don, has almost always been played as the straight man to his brothers. Most of the time he's in 'leader mode', rounding up the others. In the new toon though, he's only begun to grow into the leader role, and we have a reason why he takes this role so seriously later on (wanting to be as good as his hero). He's learning he can't be the same kind of leader the Captain is though; he has to find his own way. But he's not letting his duty stop him from having fun. He's still making corny jokes and laughing at his brothers, playing video games and roughhousing with Raph, and fanboying over his favorite TV show.
And we're only, what, 12 episodes into the new show?
Haven't been paying the closest attention recently because the whole Vickie thing has been terrible, but isn't she just accusing two single people of going on a date? Even if she's right, who gives a shit?
Raw GM should be Heyman. He is the best part of the show.
Vickie's thing isn't that AJ and Cena supposedly went on a date/slept together, it's that they allegedly hooked up while AJ was the RAW GM/Cena's boss, thereby making it an inappropriate relationship. Which is incredibly stupid, considering how many WWE stars Vickie's been in relationships with while a RAW/SmackDown GM (Edge, Big Show, and now Dolph Ziggler), and how often male GM's (and Vince McMahon himself) have constantly flirted with/'fraternized' with various WWE Divas on the shows.
Why is she and Ziggler still pushing this even after AJ lost her job as GM? Mostly to get under AJ and Cena's skins, I suppose. But it's not really going anywhere right now, since John is still a part of the Ryback/Punk feud as well. If they'd just get to a damn Ziggler/Cena PPV fight already, this thing can end, and they can focus on Ziggler cashing in his suitcase.
Speaking of Cena, WWE is talking like his injury on Monday was legit, but it's still being debated:
F4WOnline.com is reporting that John Cena's injury last night on Monday Night Raw is not real, and is part of a storyline. Currently, Dolph Ziggler vs. John Cena is being penciled in for WWE TLC in December, and that Cena needs to be at a disadvantage for Ziggler to potentially go over. source
It appears there are conflicting reports circulating concerning John Cena's injury status. While we reported earlier this morning that according to F4WOnline.com, John Cena's Raw injury was in fact part of a story line, PWInsider.com is reporting that Cena's injury was legitimate, and that WWE had to shoot backstage segments with Cena live to incorporate the injury. source
Cena also tweeted that he had an MRI done, but they're vauge…
WZ reader Mickey Daniels sent in word that the advertised dark match main event of CM Punk vs John Cena, for the WWE Title, did NOT take place after Raw last night. Instead, WWE officials helped Ryback off the ground after the show went off the air, he headed to the back, and the show ended. This is a possible indication that John Cena was legitimately injured in some way as it's unusual for the dark match main events not to happen as advertised. source
edit: nevermind Cole just said he may have a partially torn miniscus
Now is this just them making it worse than it is to work it into the storyline, or a genuine thing? Hmmm…
But seriously? This Cena/AJ/Guerrero/Ziggler storyline just keeps getting worse and worse for me. The AJ-shaming is really not sitting well with me here, especially after the AJ/Ziggler confrontation in the locker room and the "trash" comment. Is this just me and my 'Woman's POV', or what?
Oh hey! The Turtles are gonna have a float in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade on Thursday! I have that morning off, I might actually watch it now…
Brodus is stuck in the same spot as Santino and Zach Ryder; they're popular because they're fun, but they won't be taken as a serious contender. And poor Tensai's gimmick never took off, unfortunately. Once WWE realized it, they ended his win streak and had him jobbing to guys like Tyson Kidd to show he'd 'lost his stuff'. Ugh.
Meanwhile, Canada is FINALLY moving the WWE RAW start time to 8:15PM starting Dec. 10th. I won't have to avoid the forum as much during broadcasts (stupid spoilers! D:) and I won't have to stay up until 12:30am to see the end of RAW and drag my ass out of bed the next day!
EDIT: Oops, John just rolled his ankle chasing after Ziggler. Hopefully that's not going to be an injury…
