I'll play. It sounds really interesting and gives me an excuse to pick up the first book (which i bought like half a year ago).

RE: The Monet Problem: An Arlong Park Wager
Epic plot twist….Harpy's have 2 hearts, Monet is only in critical condition, not dead.
Or Monet made a last-minute hardened "cryos" version of herself before her body completely shut down, giving Chopper or Law or whoever enough time to save her.
Anyway I forgot what I voted before, probably "Dead" but I change my mind :/

RE: What are you Playing?
Tried the God of War beta today and already can tell I'll be addicted to it. It's got basically all the elements that make me addicted to a video game; Exp, Level ups, Unlockables, Multiplayer. All it's missing is open world and I'd probably lose my social life once it comes out >.>
The only downfall was no invite option. Hope they add that…wanted to play with a friend.

RE: God bless america
It was good. Except the person who showed me the movie is completely taking it out of context and comparing the "American Star" contestant to Psy….implying people only like Gangnam Style because it's a chubby asian doing a silly dance :/
But that has nothing to do with the movie, the movie is good xD

RE: Random News Article Discussion
If it's the last one you sound annoyed by the movement and how it's impacting your life on facebook and at the mall but you haven't really commented on the movements objectives. They seem to have a valid complaint even if you don't like the way they're going on about it. Still if you care about any of the actual issues you shouldn't be afraid to voice your opinion. If you're just mad about the mall, maybe best keep that to yourself.
No I think you misunderstood me… it's not impacting my life on Facebook, I just can't dive into a serious discussion on BOTH sides without offending any of my friends, mostly regarding the wrongful termination of the security guard...like a week before Christmas...because he was doing his job.
I definitely don't care about the mall. I don't think it's fair that the display went on without permission or warning, and when a young security gaurd steps in to do his job, he's made out to be the villain.
I definitely agree that First Nation's people should stand up for their rights, but I believe they are doing it all the wrong ways. Hunger strikes and unexpected flash-mobs won't help their cause.
-
RE: Random News Article Discussion
Is anyone here aware or interested in the First Nations movement hitting Ontario and most of Western Canada right now? Because I'm living right in the middle of a small cultural war…needless to say, my Facebook is full of one-sided Native propaganda spewing biased statements about the racist treatment and ignorance of everyone against their movement.
It's called "Idle No More", and was basically initiated when Chief of Attawapiskat, Theresa Spence, announced she was going on a hunger strike until she could meet with Prime Minister Steven Harper...which is not exactly a good start to this movement. The rest of the events (locally) have been very ridiculous, including a spontaneous Pow-wow with drums and loud screaming in my local mall, which would have been fine, if they had asked for the malls permission first. But they didn't, so at least 60 people were blocking the shopping area for most of the day without warning, and when a gaurd went to ask them to stop, he was pushed into an elderly man and later terminated from his job for sparking a mini-riot.
The video description is also wrong...as you can see a lady has her hands on the gaurd as he is falling BACKWARD into the elderly person.
Full Wiki for complete information on the movement…I just want some outside opinion on this, because I'm too scared to point out the flaws to any of my friends for fear of being called a bigot, ignorant, racist motherfucker.

RE: Random News Article Discussion
Idk what's worse, growing up in an environment where shootings and deaths are common, and being prepared, or seeing this happen to kids who have never felt this sort of danger oncein their lives… And now the survivors are scarred, because they never had to prepare for this sort of barbaric act. Just makes me worried about how kids everywhere will feel...
-
RE: Random News Article Discussion
It's horrible to say but these events are always cut and paste… Newscasters always bring up a quote by a local about how they thought their town was the safest place on earth... It's always the same shock. This must be having a terrible effect of kids in school everywhere, I can't even imagine. It's so terrible..

RE: The Walking Dead (AMC series)
Season two is still worth the watch for a little understanding of all the hate surrounding certain characters… Like all of them. Minus Daryl.

RE: Forum activity
Oh I see. That's just a whole lotta users! Especially since the one piece fan base has grown a lot since 06 .

RE: The Walking Dead (AMC series)
It's significantly better than Jericho … Because the zombie apocalypse was not forgotten 3 episodes in >.> I'm still waiting for a plot development from Jericho that doesn't involve boring love triangles and stocking shelves...

Any high school shoujo, so I can relive my high school career a little differently and participate in wacky rice ball festivals and hot spring trips…

RE: Borderlands 2
I'm so hooked on this game! It's really fun :D I'm almost done at school so when I get home I'll probably play all day <3
I'm still new with playing co-op games and my mic is kind of a joke, but I'm enjoying the experience anyways :) although I still like roaming around and goofing off on my own in solo campaign too.

RE: Chapter 690: S.A.D
Also I don't think laws powers kill when he cuts… Just separates. So hitting a straw hat wouldn't hurt them.

RE: What are you reading? (Literature)
I am currently in the middle of reading Watchmen, Gideon's Spies, and Brave New World.
Soon I shall dive into the mind of thy patron, Steven King.
Waka waka!if you End up enjoying brave new world, try Fahrenheit 451. Huxly is great, but Bradbury was telling the future with that novel.

RE: Confession Session - LOCK THIS THREAD
To be honest I enjoy getting dressed up when I go to the club. Probably just for the ritualy of hair/makeup/clothing that I normally don't put much time into. For me, it's nice to spend a little extra time on appearance every now and then. But I know most other girls aren't doing it for themselves, which is why they wear short skirts/dresses and I wear leggings underneath. I just don't want anyone to group all women together who go out all dulled up, because sadly, growing up with these "rituals" has made us happy to do it, rather than desperate. Sorry if that's nonsense…
-
RE: What are you Playing?
Black Friday sales landed me Borderlands two :3 pretty fun so far. My friends might lend me a mic so I can play properly though!!! Also got ratchet and clank full frontal assault since it was cheap and I needed an online game to play with the bf. hd bought borderlands for steam instead of ps3… But all our friends use ps3 so he's kicking himself for that now xD I have never played a ratchet game so... This will be new.

S-Sanji!!!!! Dat manservice… I will not complain :3

RE: The Walking Dead (AMC series)
I don't see why she'd mention Andrea. Maybe mentioning Merle's name woulda been smart but wouldnt change the fact that the group needs to save glen and Maggie. I think it worked out better that she didn't say anything. But she's still frustrating… Btw Maggie is a trooper, and glen is such a badass. I was so tense watching that chair battle.

RE: Post How Your Day Was..
Oh I stay he hell away from r/atheism. By if you want a good laugh, there's tons of parody of that shit in r/circlejerk. They ARE self aware at least. But don't let anyone bring you down or question your beliefs.
-
RE: Post How Your Day Was..
What happened on Reddit crystal?? I like reddit to be honest… But I don't think I'd ever become a poster there. I use it as a news source and cheap laughs. But the hive mind can be pretty annoying
-
RE: Have you ever cried (from being sad) over a video game?
Hmm I don't remember clearly but probably the ending of Tales of Symphonia just because it was the longest I've ever played a game and I couldn't believe it was over… Also recently The Walking Dead. There might be more, I think I teared up at heavy rain...
-
RE: Post How Your Day Was..
@No:
Have you heard of this new fangled thing called "walking" ?
Lol…well it's raining today sadly. That would also accumulate about 25 km of walking, in the dark, since I start work when it gets dark :s
-
RE: Post How Your Day Was..
Ohhhhh man I'm in a pickle. I'm pulling a scene outta Seinfeld with my car, seeing how long I can ride the empty gas meter before it stalls…I haven't picked up my cheque from work yet and I don't have money to gas up.I have SOME options, but I'm sooo not motivated to go through all that trouble. Right now I'm at school. I managed to force my car up the hill and park it in the parking lot without it giving out...so I really don't have much longer till the gas is gone for sure xD
What I SHOULD do is take the bus to work right now, pick up my cheque, take the bus to the bank, take the bus back to school, get my car, gas up, then chillax till work.
But I get motion sick on the bus, and that's a lot of bus riding to do in that plan...

RE: Chapter 689: Seemingly non-existent island.
Man does it make me feel giddy inside every time I see his badass expression. I'm sorry you don't have a lady boner for Luffy like I do .access.
I agree with Money and Spades, goodluck on your cleansing.

RE: Walking Dead (Telltale Game)
Curious, what were everyone's
! >! Last words to Clementine? I went with "Don't be afraid", I though "I'll miss you" would upset her…and "Keep your hair short" was kinda silly. I also basically ignore the "..." option and have never used it :P
-
RE: The Walking Dead (AMC series)
I don't really get any sort of "rapist" vibe from the people at Woodbury…I mean, the women look happy enough there, and I'm sure everyone gets busy in there own time with consent :/ I think if it were a different situation, a less civil community, then maybe.
If anything, they might threaten Glen with the prospect...but not actually do it.
-
RE: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Skyrim. $15 on Black Friday. 360 or PS3. I'm guessing 360 but want to know if the PS3 complaints are genuine or just fanboy bitching.
Well first of all, we still haven't gotten the first DLC, and I doubt we ever will.
My load screens are like AT LEAST 2 minutes. That means every single time I fast travel, enter a building, town, cave, etc, I have to wait about 2 minutes.
As far as glitches go, most of them are also found on the XBox so I can't complain….but I did get glitched out of my last Daedric Artifact I needed, and I doubt I'm gonna play the game again to get all those damn artifacts again with all the loading times and freezes I get, all while missing out on new DLC's left and right. Knowing Bathesda, PS3 will probably be shafted out of the online experience too.
-
RE: What are you reading? (Literature)
I just want to punch the living shit out of Anastasia.
Book 2 :3
I haven't gotten it yet, no money to spare for it…but I am looking forward to reading how the whole things plays out in the second. Obviously they will get back together....
-
RE: Chapter 689: Seemingly non-existent island.
Yeah the art was amazing this Chapter…harder, more defined lines, and less curvey body movements like Oda has been doing lately...loved it. Luffy's face <3

RE: General Video Game Discussion
I mean how hard is it to get that people like it for being able to connect with strangers in restricted ways that don't allow for trolling, rudeness but simply for cooperation or isolation.
Yeap, sums up my thoughts on it pretty well. Like I said, I didn't really get to enjoy the whole "zomg purrrty graphicz" side of it very well, but I was still incredibly engaged in every minute of it.
-
RE: What is the avatar above you thinking?
You might get pulled over everyday, but at least you'll look awesome riding this!

RE: General Video Game Discussion
@The:
To be honest, and I'm more than likely one of the few who feel this way, Journey is completely overrated. I'm almost certain the only reason people like it is because it's 'artsy fartsy'; it sure isn't because it had 'deep' and 'engaging' gameplay (or any sort of innovation), or an actual journey (because the game was like…only...3 hours long).
:( The "Journey" in Journey is supposed to be your time spent with another anonymous player, and your teamwork and journey through the game. If it was any longer than 2 or 3 hours, the chances of sticking with the same person would be really slim…I was lucky enough to get an awesome partner who stayed with me for the whole game! It's an awesome feeling that you're working together with somebody else that you know nothing about, but you communicate with movement and sound.
Idk, it's pretty too, but I didn't play it on an HD T.V, and I still felt like it was an amazing game.

RE: The Walking Dead (AMC series)
@Money:
So
! the gov'na's assault on the prison begins why is the govner killing people?
He's kind of mad with power, and doesn't want a chance at anyone questioning his authority…I also assume he wants to keep a cap on how many people he brings in, for obvious reasons. His main reason of course is to take supplies. I think his diary was a list of people who died, and after his daughter died, he gave up counting and no longer cares about human life.
But that's just speculation. Like I said, so far he hasn't done anything significantly worse than Rick's group has done to stay alive.

RE: One Piece: Musou/Pirate Warriors - PS3
Thanks Cyber-Robin! Btw anyone who wants to add me and do some co-op's sometime my PSN is in my sig >.> Tr1kkyN1kky
But be warned, I have no other online games except Bioshock 2 xD

RE: The Walking Dead (AMC series)
Total fangasm when Daryl found Carol and carried her out…oh man I'm so happy. I was really bummed he never reacted or showed anger/hurt when he first thought carol was dead...then when he found her knife he broke. I guess he had to take Rick's role as leader/defender when he saw Rick break too.
I really can't wait for next week, this season is soooooo good! Can't tell if the writer's have always had this ability to be amazing, or if they realized people weren't impressed with season two so they picked up their game...
