Yep, I had a feeling something like this was gonna happen. That chick seemed way too nice and cooperative to be for real.

RE: Chapter 844: Luffy vs. Sanji
As much as I like the idea of another two crew members fighting, this is…kind of stupid. It would be a lot more intense if we didn't know for a fact Sanji's words are false. Say if he'd been acting differently this whole time or had been silent, it'd be different. Here, it's obvious he's faking all this so there's no real tension.

RE: Chapter 814: Let's go see Master Nekomamushi
Chopper has a love interest now, eh? Nice to see someone besides Sanji getting googly-eyed over a girl.
-
RE: Chapter 814: Let's go see Master Nekomamushi
So I'm gathering that it's due to Sanji finally having a real bounty photograph that his family is only now trying to contact him.

RE: I am crazy, or, a theory about… everything.
This is pretty similar to a theory I had a while ago but could never really put into words. Even if this ends up being totally untrue, I like it.
-
RE: Favorite Old Wrong Theories
I remember the theory that Madame Shyarly was actually the big bad of the FI arc. I actually really liked that one.

RE: Chapter 797: Rebecca
Can you guys imagine a Dressrosa without Becca

Or at least if Oda made Becca better…

RE: Chapter 797: Rebecca
While the arc still technically isn't over yet, I think it's pretty safe to assume we're wrapping up.
My overall feelings on this arc would probably be a rough 8 out of 10.
Pros:
The fights were overall well done and generally delivered.
The Donquixote Pirates were good villains.
Doflamingo himself was a great villain, one of the best in the manga (in my opinion)
Laws flashback was great. Probably the best we've had since the timeskip.
Doflamingo's backstory was also great, another one of the best flashbacks since the timeskip.
Even though I didn't really care for any of the Riku family, the flashback of how Doflamingo screwed them was pretty good.
Law got some good development this arc.
Gear Fourth was pretty good to see.
I'm interested to see what they do with Usopp's apparent haki.Cons:
Pretty much none of the Riku family characters interested me. Rebecca, Viola, Scarlett, King Riku, even Kyros was kind of a bore.
The Sabo reveal was underwhelming. I feel like it should have been far more epic than it was.
The dwarves generally suck.
The Colosseum battles simply didn't interest me all that much. All the name dropping only to have tons of characters one-shotted didn't help.
Nami continues to be useless.
Sanji kind of got the shaft this arc, and is feeling increasingly irrelevant.
Again, Robin didn't really get a fight. -
RE: Chapter 797: Rebecca
I still don't really give a rats ass about Rebecca, but I guess this is a good "ending" for her.
-
RE: Chapter 796: The Soldiers Decision
Tsuru is a VA. So it's safe to assume that she's around the VA's strength bracket (Garp not included).
She's a senior member of the marines that why she gets that "special respect" from fellow marines.
Now regarding females stronger than Zoro, we have the following. IMO:Kuina
Boa Hancock
And Big Mom.Well, Kuina died before we saw her true potential, so I don't think she really counts. Boa Hancock is so far largely hype. I'm not making any judgement calls until we see her go all out, if ever.

RE: Who is the final villain in One Piece? 2.0
@Monkey:
Well you're wrong sorry.
Nice argument there chief.
-
RE: Who is the final villain in One Piece? 2.0
Blackbeard will be one of the last major villains. I honestly doubt he'll be the last villain though.
-
RE: Chapter 777: Zoro Vs. Pica
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Well it wasn't ideal. But I doubt any other mangaka could do much better without giving it a shitload of chapters more.
It was handled a hell of a lot better than the world war in Naruto. I'll give it that.
-
RE: Chapter 775: Love for Lucien
Senor Pink just shot up to being one of my favorite Donquixote pirates with this chapter.
-
RE: Chapter 571 "The Execution Stand" Discussion
Sengoku's ability is pretty interesting. Hopefully we see a lot more of it in the next chapter.
-
RE: Fairy Tail
God, I normally don't mind fanservice that much, but the special chapter was absurd. This manga really need sto lighten up on that. It is just a huge distraction from the main stroyline.
Oh, and this arc was sort of lackluster in my opinion. I guess that's the general consensus here. Too many random, or predictable twists, and the villains came across as weak and uninteresting for the most part.
-
RE: Venture Brothers
Oh, right. I remember now. They were mentioned as an organization the OSI took out or something.
-
RE: Venture Brothers
Could someone remind me where SPHINX appeared before this season?
I'm almost certain they did appear earlier, but I've forgotten where.
-
RE: South Park
Meh, this was a so-so episode for me. I did like the jokes about peeing in the pool and the shower, not washing your hands after peeing etc. and the monkey scenes were good.
Kyle drinking the pee only to be rescued a second later was pretty hilarious.
Overall, it was a good set of episodes this season.
-
RE: Venture Brothers
I was wondering when we'd see Phantom Limb again. Very good episode. I loved the council members not knowing where they really were at the beginning.
-
RE: South Park
I kept cracking up whenever a Japanese guy yelled "Fuck you, dolphiiiin!"
Great episode.
-
RE: Venture Brothers
That fuckup pissed me off and confused the hell out of me. I actually thought it was intentional at first.
Still pretty epic episode, confusing though. Did not see that ending coming.
-
RE: Ivankov vs. Moria
Hmm, Moria still wins for me. Ivankov is pretty badass though.

I actually don't mind the first, but the latter are unbearable when considering the fact that Big Power females ARE SEVERELY LACKING IN ONE PIECE. We are finally introduced to one and all her multiple personalities fluctuate between huge female stereotypes, two of which are extremely disempowering.
-
Her main/big attack is completely dependant on being a seductress. There's something original. Despite having similarly seductive traits, at least Alvida and Califa's powers had more to them and weren't exclusively based on sex appeal.
-
The other attack we've seen consists of her throwing hearts… Strange that it's always girls or gay guys that conveniently end up with powers like these.
-
The token girl of the Shichibukai with lowest bounty and the lamest powers revealed thus far. Even Crocodile, an opponent defeated waaaay back in Alabasta outclasses her in this department. Oda and Kishi - NOT SO DIFFERENT AFTER ALL
-
The sympathy card. Ugh. It WOULD be the token female of the group who goes all teary and angsty. Even when the group is supposed to be comprised of baddasses, the emotional inclinations/weakness of women prevail.
It's also VERY cheap plot/cop-out device that's used to excuse the hero from having to seriously fight a girl.
-
(regarding #5) So her experience made her come to the conclusion that ALL men are evil. (Because surely no men were made into slaves/raped by sickos. Nor was it a Fishman MAN that saved her or anything.) But look! The first guy that comes along showing kindness and zOMG. Time to go stupid with love!
-
(regarding #6) "Love Sickness" eh? And you will die if you do not obey this man you love? How about that, you're a slave all over again! Only this time it's less sympathetic, more pathetic. This is fanservice of a most disgusting calibre: One of the most desired women in the world, knocked off her high horse, stripped of dignity and becoming an obedient housewife whose very LIFE depends on her willingness to please her man. It's every fanboy's fantasy come true.
-
Re-occurring gags with kicking puppies and seals and cute things around. Even her shtick is based around gender cliches.
-
The second most beautiful woman in the world... does not live up to the hype. At all. She not only has the generic "OP girl" mold, but there are even a few who outdo her in the looks department. For example Camie, who has to be the most adorable little thing I've seen Oda produce to date and who's crush on Hatchan is actually endearing without making her pathetic. Hancock's design isn't terrible, it's just bland.
So in sum: with heart-heart powers, a preoccupation with beauty and trying to get into the lead guy's pants, Oda has taken all the terrible cliches of Magical Girl anime and made it into Boa Hancock. And this is the only high-ranking female revealed so far? A disappointment in every way imagineable._
Yeah, I really agree with this. I don't really dislike her as a character, at least not yet. I'm waiting to see her in an actual fight first. This guy really pinpointed all the things that have annoyed me about her so far.

RE: Bellemere vs. Hiluluk
Both had such sad stories, but I think I liked Bellmere just a little bit more.
-
RE: Apoo vs. Blackbeard
As much as I like Apoo, I'm going with Blackbeard. I just generally find him more interesting at the moment.
-
RE: Usopp vs. Doflamingo
I can't not vote for Usopp. He's too epic.
-
RE: Perona vs. Beckman vs. Paulie
Yeah, Paulie's catching up! Sort of….
-
RE: Perona vs. Beckman vs. Paulie
Paulie, he was one of the best Water 7 characters.
-
RE: Hancock vs. Hatchan
Hancock…. I've never been 100% on her. She originally struck me as lame, but she grew on me slightly later. I need to see her in an actual fight though. That'll seal the deal. For now, Hatchi ftw.
-
RE: Mihawk vs. Jinbei
Jimbei has quickly become one of my favorite Shichibukai. He wins my vote.
-
RE: Robin vs. Shanks
Robin has a ton more development and is one of the coolest women in OP. Voted for her.
-
RE: Whitebeard vs. Kaku
All Whitebeard's done so far is sit on his ass and talk about how strong he is. I'm betting he'll get cooler later on, but at the moment, Kaku's got my vote.
He was one of the coolest characters in W7/EL after all.
-
RE: Bepo vs. Olvia
This is a hard one. I like both characters, but Bepo is definitely more interesting. I never disliked Olvia though, quite the opposite. I don't get why so many people do seem to dislike her.
I may go with her just for the hell of it.
EDIT: Screw it, I went with Bepo.
-
RE: Sadi-Chan vs. Gedatsu
Sadi-chan was the least interesting Impel Down character in my opinion. Gedatsu, on the other hand, was one of the coolest and funniest characters from Skypiea. No contest.
-
RE: Wiper vs. Miss Valentine
Wiper at least survived some of the worst injuries in One Piece. I'm going with him.
-
RE: Odz vs. Hiluluk
Hiluluk's bond with Chopper was too touching. I gotta go with him.
-
RE: Yasopp vs. Kid
Kidd it is.
I still think Yasopp is awesome though.
-
RE: Law vs. Aum
Voted for Ohm. I just really liked him and thought he was one of the best characters in Skypiea. Doubt he'll win though.
-
RE: Arlong vs. Hannyabal
Damn, this is a hard one. Hannyabal was pretty awesome, especially during his fight.
It's really close, but I don't think I can not vote for Arlong. He was my favorite villain from East Blue.
-
RE: How messed up is the internet?
But I agree that it all depends on where you go and who is there. There are some pretty decent, and sick people on the internet.
-
RE: Bakuman
This was a good chapter. Finally getting more of Miyoshi. She and Shujin are proabably my favorite characters.
