Wow, look again. Look at what Murata did. He zoomed out to the meteror, holy shit it looked awesome.
those pages were missing when I first looked at it.
That's why I thought it was a very short chapter.
That zoom out effect was really good, wow.

What do you think about the Rudy Gay trade?
I don't like it very much because all 3 teams add depth to positions/player type where they already where good.
Gay's pretty similar to DeRozan and Ross, Grizzlies add Davis to Arthur and Randolph, Pistons are now a guard-heavy team (Calderon, Knight, Stuckey, Bynum and Singler will have to fight for minutes)
Just when I thought we got rid of the Edo Tensei bullshit…
the greatness of this manga also comes from this little gems.
I want it to be published in Italy so bad, NOW!
@Raging:
I think Pelicans is a silly mascot. But I tend to like strong menacing mascots for sports teams. I understand that it has some significance for the state.
That said I do actually really like that new logo. It looks cool. I didn't think it would. I guess I was thinking they would go with a more cartoony look. This doesn't look out of place for an NBA team at all, imo.
It's really funny how some people use the "Pelicans it's not a fearsome name" argument. What's fearsome about a Clipper? Or a Knick? Or a Spur? Or a Laker?
I like the fact that the name actually has a meaning related to the place where the team is (a really rare thing nowadays, as most team names don't make sense at all) and the logo is cool. Only thing is, the colors are a bit too similar to Cleveland's.
Regarding All-Star reserves, I'm really, REALLY mad. Steph Curry out and Aldridge in? That's a joke.
And what is Bosh doing exactly to deserve it more than B. Lopez? Especially when his team already has 2 All-Stars, while Brooklyn has NONE? He's the best offensive center at the moment IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE.
The coaches messed up big time
I will not be surprised to see Bosh and PP, I will just be disappointed.
Yeah I admit that putting Boozer in was kind of a stretch, but I just don't see Noah making it. And Boozer is playing really well to be honest. Anyway I think the Bulls awesome season so far has to be rewarded, so if it's not Boozer or Noah, Deng must be selected.
And I would select Lillard because I think he deserves it, but I don't see the coaching selecting him as very realistic, I don't think it will happen.
All-Star voting needs some serious overhaul.
Players who didn't even deserve to make it will START, while more deserving guys will not even participate.
4 players from under-achieving teams with a LOSING record are starting… Has this ever happened? Also, Lin almost made it to the starting line-up over Paul. That would have been an epic fail.
Anyways, what's your guess for the reserves?
Mine are
WEST
Harden
Curry
Randolph
Duncan
Lee
Westbrook
Parker
EAST
Holiday
Irving
George
Chandler
Lopez
Boozer
Jennings
I hope that the coaches look at where the merit stands in each team and don't just get fooled by the big names. I don't want to see Bosh or Deron Williams instead of other young deserving guys, just because they are "stars", they're not having All-Star-caliber seasons.
When the aliens attacked Kurono's school, one of the 2 giant aliens Kurono killed was Gonde's (Hero Alien) brother.
and after that, Kurono's picture and name were shared among the aliens, so there is a perfect reason for Gonde to both know and have a grudge against him.
Guy, this manga already has many problems, but sometimes it makes things right.
that's why I just read the first few pages of the first chapter appeared on MangaPanda during Boon's hiatus, and never came back.
Boon's quality is worth the wait
^ thx for the correction but to be fair it's damn confusing since the chapter selection labels them as 21 and 22 as well as the interface that pops up when you move your mouse to the top/bottom edge of the chapter, also when I checked the latest one there was nothing to indicate otherwise for the reasons you explained, but that was another trap for me to tap into.
Yeah I know it's quite confusing and I honestly don't know why they do that because those "sub-chapters" are of regular length anyway.
But if that means we get our OPM fix every 2 weeks instead of 1 month, I can bear with that little confusion :D
Also about the last chapters, I really loved how the heroes and the monsters all think that the damages in the ghost district are caused by various mysterious being, when they were all caused by Saitama instead, and now the district is feared by both sides LOL
Is that so? Huh… then it's really weird to split them into two parts. But thanks for clarifying that.
No, DarthAsthma is wrong. Read Silverblade post.
The way Boon is doing is the correct one, and reflects the original intention of One and Murata.
On the site, there are 22 "entries", that correspond to 20 chapters. You can see that actually reading them. If in the first page of the chapter there's no number, then it's just the continuation of the previous one
that actually makes sense instead.
the cinematic pages are good in a digital format, but aren't on paper.
Genos training will be changed for sure, too.
finally Boon returned, I was waiting for this! now I just hope that they'll release the new Jap chapter soon! They're already 4 days late!
sorry to keep asking this every once in a while, but does anyone know if the RAWS for volumes 1-2 are online somewhere? I can't find them anywhere and when I get to Japanese or Chinese sites I just don't know where to look
The fact that Tobi confirmed that he can perform the Rinne Tensei and that he is not totally subdued to Madara in this very same chapter smells like there will be a redemption and a mass resurrection by the end of the war.
It would be ugly, but it can totally happen.
Volumes 1 and 2 sold about 40,000 copies a piece in their first week. I guess that is pretty decent for a web comic's debut week, but I was hoping it would be a little more popular and grab the attention of Viz so we can get it printed over here.
I think those are pretty good numbers
do you also know which chapters are included in the volumes, or if it's available a RAW somewhere online?
It's here http://tonarinoyj.jp/manga/onepanman/ ch 19 raw
oh boy that blur picture is kind of bad, I get what he was going for but lineart and blur just don't mesh well in my opinion.
I hope murata just takes the current format as a way to experiment with all kinds of stuff but has the presence of mind to choose which techniques are worth keeping.
yeah that double spread was really weird. I had to double check the page to make sure there wasn't some problem in the loading of the page
seems like a funny chapter, I wonder when will Boon Scanlations translate it
@Mark:
Not really. 16 chars
explain the CROWN Ceasar is actually wearing then. seems to much of a coincidence to me
i guess this chapter confirmed once and for all that it's Crown and not Clown
The volumes are scheduled for February. Obviously, no raws until then.
what? weren't they supposed to come out on the 4th of december (today)??
Even on the official site it says so: http://tonarinoyj.jp/info/wanpanman/index.html
the one-shot seemed really good. hope boon scanlations will translate it
@FKM:
Chapter 19 is delayed :/ well i found the raw of the oneshot that come in the young jump 01
Thanks for the Raw!
not only 19 is delayed, they also removed chapters from 6 to 14 for no apparent reason. I wonder if there's something wrong with Murata and One.
Or maybe they have to edit because they have been modified for the tankobon release?
However, nobody has an answer for my question, what chapters are in the first 2 volumes? I'd like to find the volumes' RAWS
does anyone know what chapters are in the first 2 volumes?
I really can't wait to see all those characters appear in the story. I'm pumped up everytime I look at that image
@Nex:
It's a brand new rule, and after years of doing it one way, can you blame a coach for instinctively throwing it out there?
The problem lies in the rule. It shouldn't negate a review.
I'm not defending the rule. I'm saying you can't blame the refs for correctly applying it. Schwarz immediately knew he f-cked up, it's HIS fault. It's too easy to always put the blame on the refs
@Nex:
Not one ref blew the whistle when he was obviously down. You'd have to be blind or not paying attention to not see him laying there. Also the rule is the dumbest thing in the universe. Especially since it negates a challenge altogether.
sure the refs made a mistake, but Schwarz shouldn't have thrown the challenge. Play was obviously gonna be reviewed like every scoring play and the TD would be taken back. Schwarz himself immediately blamed himself for the mistake.
@Nex:
Wow, we literally just saw the Lions get cheated by the refs.
If the Lions lose, those Refs better run fast.
It was Schwarz's fault, not the refs'
the flap.. is the corner of the building?
Oh, Murata.. you and your awesome 3D drawings again!
the extra chapter was gold. great designs for the heroes and the monster, and the gags were great as usual
That extra chapter was cool. I bet the current translator will do it soon given his pace.
Oh man those volume covers are just amazing. I must have them.
he said he will only translate the first one-shot cause the second one is just an early version of the first chapter, and even the dialogs are almost the same.
the more I look at the covers, the more I fall in love with this manga
A big LOL at how the first cover portraits Saitama like a big ass serious hero, while you can see the usual one small in the corner of the second volume.
I really hope this will be released outside of Japan
ci sono arrivato in ritardo mostruoso, grazie per il capitolo Verba :D
I'm so hooked by this manga that I started translating it in Italian, something I occasionally did only for One Piece before. I started a blog and contacted the English scanlator asking permission for using his scans (he's a super nice person BTW, you should all visit his blog at http://boonscanlations.blogspot.de/ )
I think this manga really is drugs.
I think there's been a misunderstanding. the new version drawn by Murata is also a web comic. So he was saying that there is no actuall scanning or cleaning of pages. Just erasing Japanese text, translating, and pasting English text. And that's why the scanlation team has been so quick about it.
exactly, thank you for explaining my thought with better words
No, they still have to "scanlate" - the original web comic's art is totally inferior to this, it's being released as a manga if I'm not mistaken…
I see no difference between the pics on the japanese site and the scans on batoto.. being it a webcomic it's just natural to get those pics, translate them and re-upload.
I heard the tankobon will come out, but for now it's just online, so nothing to scan.. yet.
that gif is awesome, and it really shows Murata's great sense of cinematic art.
to be fair, the scanlation team is not "scanlating" it because being this a web-comic, they just have to edit the pics translating the balloons. But they are doing a great job none the less.
They only sad thing in being so quick is that they almost reached the original, so in a little while we'll have to wait a lot more for new chapters
chap. 15 is out
oh god, the super-hero registry.. this is just so great
gave a quick look to some chapters of the original web comic to see what's coming in future chapters, gotta say I'm excited, this will be great
One-punchman is fun and that is all that matters. And no, you can't take it seriously. It pretty much the same over the top parody of tokusatsu superheroes as Kinnikuman. Only with Murata's more detailed, realism oriented art to suit the deadpan humor.
Originally Onepunch-man was a webcomic done by the writer, One, alone. It has run independently for some years, I believe. At some point One got noticed by Murata Yuusuke. They collaborated on two one shots that were published this year in Young Jump.
Onepunch-man is their latest project with Murata doing the art now. It's published in the online spinoff of Young Jump, Tonari no Young Jump. 17 chapters are out already.
thanks for the link! obviously I don't understand what they say in this version, but it's fine to look at it anyways!
this manga is just brilliant, I love it
Zoro doesn't hit women, that's why he didn't attack. Tashigi knows it, that's why she decides to stay to fight Monet.
Really? And what, pray tell, effects has this event had on this series thus far?
Let's rephrase that: it is one of the events I personally care the most, because the rivalry between hisoka and chrollo fascinates me
@RobbyBevard:
Because the actual meeting was just sort of started in one panel and then off camera-ed without any resolution (aside from us knowing that Hisoka is still around come the election) … and because it happened 7 years ago.
Fair enough. But, as a fan of the series, that is one of the most important events in the whole manga so I can't see me forgetting about that
so, should we expecting spoilers in a few hours or we'll get them next week anyways?
