damn that's an amazing Street Fighter fanart. Murata's so good it's almost scary
-
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
You people complain just because you read ONE's original version. If you didn't know that those last chapters were "new" stuff, you wouldn't claim to notice any difference. I never read ONE's version because despite how great I think it must be, I don't want to ruin my experience reading the redrawn. And I never feel like some chapters "don't belong", also because I'm sure that ONE has more than a say on EVERY chapter, Murata is just providing the art

RE: NBA Season 2014-2015
I really don't understand how people are blaming Dellavedova for the Horford incident. He is arm-locking Delly and pulling him down, and he even trips over Carroll. What could he have possibly done to not land on Horford's legs?
The one thing I didn't like by Dellavedova in these playoffs is the leg-lock on Gibson, but anyways I think that was more smart than dirty.
The Korver one is totally accidental. -
RE: Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
@Daz:
But the spread is not designed to look like a photo, or like a photo is being taken. Theres no special framing, no one further in the foreground than Naruto that he's posing at, and indeed, he doesn't look like he's posing or have any intention other than popping the bubble. Hence a crummy-looking Sakura being all angry at Naruto at the bottom of the page, in another insane case of angles and perspective.
Perhaps Kakashi i taking a photo? Only then, Naruto would not be visible at all.Eh, maybe I'm way off here. All I can say is that the spread didn't succesfully convey "Naruto posing for someone elses camera" to me. Maybe if he'd winked at the reader, or done a peace sign, or the whole thing had been framed like a photo…but thats just me nitpicking.
wow that's waaaay too much over-analizing a simple color-spread. So, in any other color spread in any other manga in history, who are the characters posing for? Who's taking the photo? It's just an image made for the cover of a chapter, and yes the meaning is that Naruto is fakingly "popping" the fox's bubble with false perspective… man, yes, you're nitpicking

@Daz:
That number 4 still amazes me with its awfulness; its seriously some of the worst perspective fuckuppery I've ever seen. How did any editor ever accept it?
why do you find it so awful? I think it's fine, and it goes back to a time when Kishi actually cared. There is a lot more attention to detail and colors than most of the other 9 images

RE: Bleach Discussion 0: Hello Darkness my old friend
So, I stopped reading Bleach during the Fullbringer arc. After the Aizen mess which I could barely bear, that was just too much.
Recently I started binge reading from chapter 480 and I'm now at chap 546, and I gotta say, I'm not disliking it nearly as much. I'm.. actually enjoing it, a bit.
Is something wrong with me? Is it the consensus that Kubo righted the ship in this last arc? Or is it just the effect of binge reading and not having to wait a week for a new 20-page splash of black ink? -
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
Guys you're making me nervous with all those spoiler tags. Now I really want to look at them and binge read all the original ONE chapters
-
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
I don't know when it came out, but a new arc is starting
http://bato.to/read/_/280138/onepunch-man_ch39_by_nerieru-scans/1also apparently new chapter tomorrow, yay!
-
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
wow that last spread. Murata leaves me speechless every time
-
RE: The "Shueisha" Thread
Yeah I know but I thought I read it was just a two-week hiatus. Apparently it isn't
Thanks for the reply tho

RE: The "Shueisha" Thread
Wasn't hunter x hunter supposed to come back in issue 43? Is it my fault for not seeing it in the list?

RE: NFL Season 2014
so, is it to late to join this fantasy league? it would be the 3rd year in a row that I miss out. I know I'm not a frequent poster in this thread but I've played fantasy football on NFL.com for the past several years and always wanted to play with you guys

RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
I would have loved to see the Irving-Wiggins-Lebron-Bennett (he had some impressive dunks during Summer League) flying circus at least until the Febraury trade deadline, and the narrative of Lebron grooming Wiggins to be his heir would have been really fun. But they are in win now mode, so I get why they pulled the trigger on the deal.
By the way, the Wolves will swap Bennett with Thaddeus Young of the 76ers, which is a good move I think -
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
Oh my I have such a man crush on Saitama. Those last pages

RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
the common theme in this draft was: take someone in the same role your team is already stacked. Embiid, Smart, Exum, Stauskas, Payne and also Payton and McBuckets (who both were trade-imposed picks at least) all were selected by teams that are actually pretty set in their positions.
Some considerations on the picks:
-The Sixers are really taking this tanking thing seriously: other than picking an injuried player who plays the same position of the injuried player they picked last year, they got Saric, a potential phenomenon who won't see an NBA court for the next two years at least.
-Rondo's time in Boston is over. I'm sorry Bill Simmons but I can't see him and Smart in the same backcourt.
-I'm really happy that Aaron Gordon was picked high. I think he can be great and I can't wait to see him fly in Orlando and become the next Blake Griffin
-I have doubts about Exum in Utah, but I'm glad they didn't waste Randle or Vonleh in a team already stacked in the frontcourt
-The Suns didn't trade any of their picks and actually took really good players. I can see them involved in some trades this summer anyways
-The Spurs did it again: Kyle Anderson at 30 is a real steal. Why do the other teams always allow them to do this?? -
RE: Hiatus x Hiatus III: Goodnight, Sweet Princes
"no chapter next week"
I think that's actually a good sign that Togashi is not going into hiatus anytime soon. Too bad the first pause came after just 5 chapters, but I'd gladly have 5 weeks of HxH and a 1 week pause until he end of the series
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
Some people seem to forget that basketball is a TEAM sport, and this Spurs win should prove it to them once more.
You can't win a title by yourself, you just can't. Kobe didn't do that, and neither Jordan did. They always had a great supporting cast everytime they won.
Lebron is a great player and there's no doubt about this. He did all he could trying to involve his teammates but they just failed to rise to the occasion. And I also have seen him make some pretty ridiculous shots in these 5 games.
I'm talking from a neutral point of view, just as a lover of the game, the Spurs absolutely deserved to win, they just played some of the best ball I've ever seen. Also they had a burning fire inside them to get revenge for last year, nobody could have stopped them from winning it all this season.
So happy for Duncan and Pop (and my man Belinelli!), and I can't wait to see how much Leonard can still grow, he's amazing -
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
well, watching the Spurs executing to perfection should be pretty enjoyable for any basketball fan. I know I'm having fun, despite the games not being anywhere as good as last year's
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
It's over!
great display of pure basketball joy by the Spurs. Games 3 and 4 were just perfection on the court.
And BTW Diaw has my vote for Finals MVP. He completely crashed Miami's plans -
RE: Hunter x Hunter II
one hell of a chapter.
Leorio and Kurapica in the Zodiac, Ging's scene, Cow-guy power… just wow. And the "I'll add the milk myself" line was just hilarious to me -
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
I don't like to go by stereotypes or to generalize, but how in the fucking hell do you leave an NBA FINALS game with 3 plus minutes on the clock??
Miami fans are really the worst in the league. Damn bandwagoners -
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
Apparently having zero experience in coaching at any level is a huge requirement to get a coaching job in today's NBA. Latest example is Fisher, but I'm still wondering why "my" Warriors hired Steve Kerr out of the blue, instead of a proved coach
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
I think this cramps accident is being overly exaggerated by the media and the people on social networks. It happens, what's the big deal?
-
RE: Hunter x Hunter II
the translation of the Ging-Pariston dialog was all I needed. I really went WTF while reading on Mangastream.
Thanks 4chan guy -
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
So, big surprise, the Heat are in the Finals.
Now it seems pretty normal to us, but I think that 20 years from now, this Heat team will be seen as one of the greatest of all time. Four Finals (and counting) in a row is a pretty impressive feat to be honest, and I'm not a Miami fan -
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
c-c-c-combo breaker!
this Playoffs are being a bit of a letdown after an unreal first round.
The Lance Show two nights ago was amazing tho -
RE: Hunter x Hunter II
this arc has the potential to be great and epic. I just hope we won't have to wait another 10 years
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
The Pacers are on drugs. How can a whole team be so bipolar? Huge win for them, especially since they had a lot of bad games at home this post-season
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
No Ibaka for the remainder of the Playoffs means San Antonio will have it much easier, nobody able to guard Duncan or protect the rim. This is San Antonio's year.
I see a Spurs-Heat rematch. -
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
Two great comebacks in the same night!
I still can't believe how hard the Thunder choked, but I think a big part of the blame is on Scott Brooks. They had the series in their hands, but now the momentum is completely shifted in the Clippers' way. Jeff Van Gundy as a commentator is still a better coach. In the final seconds, he was screaming out they had to foul. Also, Westbrook had all the time he needed to drive to the rim and tie the game instead of launching that heave to win.
And apparently the Pacers resurrected just in time. Too bad, it would've been fun to see the Wizards upset them
-
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
That's funny considering how his cinematic sequences in One Punch man are way better than anything I've seen from Toei recently
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
where have all the close games gone?? only blowouts so far in the semis
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
Damn, Lillard is a boss.
I would have liked if all the Western Conference series got to 7 games (did it ever happen in NBA history?), but I'll gladly take a buzzer-beating 3 pointer to close a hard fought game 6. What a first round -
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
Donald Sterling banned for life from NBA, fined 2,5 million dollars and will be forced to sell the team. Adam Silver clearly sent a message.
Now let's hope we can leave this story behind and get back at enjoying these Playoffs, which have been pretty awesome so far.
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
Great win by the Warriors last night. Regardless of the distractions, they played one of their best games of the season. That first quarter was fun as hell, Steph was simply on fire.

RE: One Piece 745 Ita by Verba Team
questa settimana niente capitolo per la golden week, vero? o salta la prossima?

RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
I wonder if this is the first time both 5 seeds took the first 2 road games.
I had recorded the Rockets/Blazers game to watch it today but predictably spoiled the result for myself earlier…agh. Anyways seems like Aldridge is sticking to his blistering pace. Both the Bulls and Rockets are in bad spots in their series but I think the Rockets are probably more worried. Unlike the Bulls, they don't have an elite defense to fall back on. But the Wizards play good defense as well so the Bulls catching up at this point will be difficult.
I think the Rockets are under much more pressure than the Bulls because of the expectations. Chicago being a 4th seed without Rose and Deng, they've already over-achieved, while Houston was supposed to be a contender, and Harden a superstar (instead he's choking hard). Plus, winning in Portland is harder than winning in DC
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
who would have predicted the Blazers and Wizards up 2-0 on the road? I'm kinda shocked
-
RE: Hunter x Hunter II
I require more information about this as well.
after the Demon World Tournament, there are a few chapters in which we see what the main characters are doing with their lives. In one of those, in like a page or so, it is explained that Enma was the big bad boss behind everything.
EDIT: that's the page we're talking about
http://www.mangapanda.com/272-19164-12/yu-yu-hakusho/chapter-170.html -
RE: Hunter x Hunter II
I'm really happy for this announcement. Hope those chapters focus immediately on Netero Jr, his group and the dark continent.
I hope Togashi will go to the end of the series without any more hiatuses, but if I have to be realistic I'm saying 30 chapters (it's gotta be a multiple of 10 to be able to collect them in tankobons, no tankobon = no money) -
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
the Pacers are in a very very very bad place. I'm not saying they're doomed, but they will have to put everything they got on the table.
Shoutout to the Dubs for taking game 1, even tho the game was made less enjoyable by the refs getting involved too much.
I also would like for the Raptors to be able to come back, but Pierce showed why he's an Hall of Famer
-
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
It makes me mad that the Suns are out of the Playoffs, but would be the 3rd seed in the East. It's just unfair. And seeing Dragic, Bledsoe and Green in Playoffs games would have been so much fun
-
RE: Berserk
wow Miura's art is really amazing. I'm in awe every time a new chapter comes out.
So glad Berserk is back -
RE: NBA Season 2013-2014
The Knicks have a brutal schedule to close the season. No way they get back to the 8th spot. They almost made it but then Melo injuried his shoulder and now they're behind again. I'm pretty sure the Hawks would prefer having a lottery pick then being swept in the first round tho.
On the contrary, in the West the race for the 8th spot is pretty exciting. I sincerely hope Phoenix gets in, because they will be much more fun to watch then the Grizzlies in the first round. No one talks about them, but Dallas is having a really good season. Anyways, the Western Conference playoffs will be awesome, every match up is promising and excintig

RE: Chapter 739: Captain
Yeah I think the last page is missing. that would be a weird ending for a chapter
-
RE: Naruto and Bleach IV- Sexy time
do you have any idea on who's the guy standing near to Sasuke? Should be someone we haven't seen yet, because Karin doesn't recognize him
-
RE: Onepunch-Man (redrawn version)
the update made this a really really really great chapter.
Does Boros look like that in the original, too?
Because his armor reminds me the short comedy story made by Murata a while ago set in Middle Age where a character wore a pretty similar armor -
RE: Chapter 731: "Dressrosa Operation SOP"
She is the little girl from Jinbe's flashback/story.
Right!! How could I forget?? Thank you
-
RE: Chapter 731: "Dressrosa Operation SOP"
Great chapter, and great reveal about Sabo.
This island is gonna be even more of an hot mess really soon, with the toy army, the Family, Big Mom, the marines, and now the Revolutionary army, too.
Oda really decided to go all-in with this saga.Just one thing, I'm sure we've already heard or seen Koala, but my memory isn't helping me right now… Where or when did we?
