I can't really tell if the sword is special or not, but there are some good ideas already presented by people. I would think that a scimitar matches his style the most from just going on his looks alone.

On another note, if you look at the anime ep. 151 he seems to pull his cloak over the front of himself with his "missing" arm. I am going to speculate that he has done a Franky-like operation to himself to put an indestructible super arm there made out of sea stone or some other unbreakable material coated in seastone.

Perhaps he doesn't need a sword if he has something like that?

That's why I think he could get away with espinoage, seeing as they could only get one decent pic on his poster, in order for people to immediately recognize him, he would be able to sneak in under one of his other forms. Plus, he's shown his child form only once on EL, and that was when Franky knocked him out of Monster Point.

I was thinking of one of the CP9 members joining in the espionage / scout / spy capacity, but I don't think it will happen.

Not a strong possibility because they will probably go to Little Garden to meet up with their old Captains.

I just think that Elbaf will have the greatest Helmsman or something like that. I feel that the giants have a lot of Viking influence. Vikings were renowned for their sailing abilities, so it makes sense for me to make such a bold prediction. I also wouldn't be surprised if one of the Shichibukai ends up being a giant.

This is all speculation though, but I will most certainly be pointing to my posts if all this pans out

Blueno commented on how Luffy was matching his speed, and that was before Luffy went into Gear 2. It's obvious from Blueno's statements that Luffy's speed is on Soru level (at least Blueno's Soru Level) when he's not in Gear 2 or 3.

All I'm waiting for now his a Gear 2/3 hybrid with Gear 2 speed combined with Gear 3 power.

Since this thread is about a new crew member joining (most certainly to be Franky), I think they will get a helmsman from Elbaf later on; only if they get a big enough boat to fit him on there.

Let me toss more kerosene on this by saying that maybe one of the CP9 members will join in a scout / spy capacity.

I actually don't even have one ounce of belief that will happen, but why not speculate. It's obvious Franky will join at this point, but it would be amazing if someone else did too.

I still think they need a musician (a dedicated one). Ussop did repairs, but he was no shipwright. Franky plays guitar, but he's still not a professional musician.

Although, can he use Gear 3 in both arms? He creates a small puncture in his thumb by biting it, then blows air into that arm. Of course, he can't keep it within that arm because, if he did, it would all just blow back out threw the hole he created. I guess it could be possible to have Gear 3 in both arms if he could close the small puncture hole somehow.

I don't think we know the extent of the power of Gear 3 yet to know if he can inflate two limbs at a time, etc.

Probably not since his strength will be sapped as soon as he touches the sea water. Secondly, I can't imagine that Gear 3 is very light.

Luffy still needs to overcome one of his weaknesses; heat. Without that, he will not be able to beat Aokiji (unless he covers himself with salt?). I think he will find a way to heat his rubber body up through some other technique (Gear 2 - Heat?) because Gear 2 & Gear 3 are still useless (???) against Logias. Maybe by making himself hotter he can fight Smoker evenly too (like Ace and the Mera Mera fruit). This is all speculation though, I'm sure I will be surprised by what happens.

Also, now that Luffy knows Soru (kind of), can he Geppou too? It is a similar kicking the air / ground repeatedly technique, so it would make sense if he could do that as well.

On another note, I just watched Ep. 273, and Gear 2 looks pretty cool animated :cheerful:

I think kabuto's secret is a wind dial or something that allows the ammo to fly further, faster, and with more accuracy.

I'm thinking it has a Reject Dial in it because that would greatly enhance the power. Plus, it's a slingshot type thing, so maybe it can absorb the Reject when it kicks back. It also long, which means it provides pretty good range too if he needs to smack someone with it in close combat. Also, the reject could be used to fire larger projectiles with more power and greater distances.

I thought I'd drop my prediction here on Lucci … he's either toast, or definitely toast by next chapter. He looks done though. I think I'm going with the guys who said that if Luffy can't take him out then it would basically going against Luffy's dream of becoming the strongest. This whole douriki thing etc. would also be pointless. Oda has very nicely organized a tier for us to see where everyone is at respectively with the douriki points system. Luffy has obviously separated himself from Zoro and Sanji, while those two have also separated themselves from the rest of the crew. Ah well, I better get back to work I'm slacking. I can't wait for the spoilers for Ch. 422.
